Substitute Family Care - The Importance and Benefits of Foster Care

This work is focused on the evaluation and verification of the criteria of success foster care on the basis of their own experience. Affects the overall trend of the development of the child in the context of the family and the wider society. The key theme of this study is, above all, approach the importance and advantages of foster care, or clarify so much discussed questions of education of children in substitute family environment in terms of celospolečenského scale. To achieve the desired outcome here were used not only to their own knowledge and experience, which are processed in the individual kasuistikách, but also the conclusions of the expert examination of pedagogical-psychological counseling and specially-educational centre. The thesis has been processed on the basis of personal long- standing observation and study the behaviour of children in foster care, which are pursued and carried out directly in the family of the author thesis. CHOCHOLOUSOVA, S. The right of child, who is placed under institucional care, to be in contact with one of its imprisoned parents. Prague: Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague, 2013. 140 s. Diploma thesis. This diploma thesis is focused on the children of imprisoned parents in the Czech Republic. It deals with the right of the child to have contact with a parent in prison, the actual realization of this contact and its support in Czech and international legal frameworks. In the center of attention is due to the imprisonment of parents and separated families. There are problems with severing emotional attachments between the separated child. Growing up in childcare institutions, without their biological parent, has implications for their upbringing. Thanks to theoretic knowledge and conclusions the theoretical part is drawn up and implemented by quantitative questionnaire surveys of all childcare institutions in the Czech Republic. Their purpose is to find out whether the child's right to contact with imprisoned parents is carried out, what type of contact is most often implemented, and what obstacles prevent most of the contact. The role of boarding schools for the Deaf in the Czech Republic - since 1786 to present days

(in English): This bachelor thesis presents the history and development of institutional care at the Czech boarding schools for the hearing impaired, as well as at the then institutes for the Deaf and dumb from 1786 to present. It describes the regime at these boarding schools, extracurricular activities of the pupils, pedagogical supervision and the schools facilities. The school regime is dealt with according to centuries. The bachelor work also brings up the issue of the Deaf communities, both home and abroad and explores the impact of the boarding schools on the community. The findings are interpreted in the light of individual development of the child staying in a boarding school, namely its impact on child's personality. The work draws data from the specialized past and present bibliography, legislative norms and other relevant documents. The final part of the bachelor thesis presents the results of the findings concerning the issue of hearing impaired children in residential care. They prove that children staying in boarding schools suffer from deprivation which is, furthermore, enhanced in case of deaf children who lack an opportunity to communicate in their mother tongue, i.e. sign language with the peers. Parental alkoholism and its impact on the psyche of children

In the theoretical part of this bachelor thesis, there is a general summary of information about alcoholism, children's psyche and their developement, family, and strategies focusing on coping with the fact that their parents are people with greater problems, issues in the family and the impact of family on a child. The thesis consists of a possible precaution for children of parents- alcoholics and publication which was written mainly by the offspring of such parents for them. Education of children in children's home with a school Dobřichovice

The diploma thesis Education of children in a children's home with a school in Dobřichovice is focused on the issue of education and resocialization of a child in a facility for institutional education and on the preparation of children for future life. The theoretical part defines the chapters Education, Behavioral Disorders, Deprivation and Stress. They are here as an insight into the given issue, what problems and disorders clients come to the children's home with the school and what the workers encounter on a daily basis. A separate chapter consists of the characteristics of a specific children's home with a school, education and development of the child's personality in this facility. The practical part and conclusion deal with the evaluation of coping with stressful situations and conflicts in this facility in the form of questionnaires, interview and summarize the results of research.
