Teacher training system. Focused on the area of the capital city of Prague

The professional development of teachers, which also includes the teacher's further education, is one of the main strategic objectives of the contemporary school system. This work examines which types and forms of further education are most frequently chosen. The work also investigates the processes of this kind of education at different types of schools - kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. The theoretical part of the work gradually focuses on the history and explanation of the basic terms and objectives of further education. In the following chapters the work concentrates on the legal background, the kinds and the forms of further education. The empirical part of the work makes statements on the basis of the research objectives. The text content analysis (of kindergarten annual reports and other records) is used in order to verify the statements. The research sample was randomly chosen from the representatives of kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. On the basis of the above mentioned research it is stated that the heads of primary and secondary schools act accordingly to the school regulations: which means that the evaluation of teacher training and further education is included in the annual reports of the schools. PaedDr. Stanislav Bendl, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This thesis is focused on Mathematics Teachers and Their Professional Development. The thoretical part describes the Czech system of in-service education of teachers in the context of lifelong learning. It introduces its legislative classification and describes an alternative classification. The following part offers the list of information resources, which are useful for Mathematics teachers and the list of what the current offer of further education courses for Mathematics teachers is, including selfstudying activities. The relevant links are quoted in the appendices. The empirical part analyses, interprets and evaluates the qualitative research among Mathematics teachers, which determines their experience with in-service education/professional development, their attitudes and opinions in this field. Bilingual schools and European projects

The theme of this dissertation thesis is the relation of bilingual education and educational projects aimed at European issues. The research part was conducted at bilingual upper secondary schools in the Czech Republic, Germany and Great Britain (Wales). In the thesis the themes such as European politics, intercultural dialogue, international peace, human rights, humanitarian aid and language education are primarily included into European issues. The empirical research was deliberately realized at bilingual schools, where the instruction is delivered throught the medium of two languages. With regard to this fact a frequent participation at educational projects with European focus (European projects) was anticipated at these schools. European projects are often interconnected with the laguage studies. In recent years education projects have been an important part of the curriculum in Czech, German and British environment and they play a vital role in education context. The projects enrich the bilingual instruction from both methodical and content perspective and enable launching cooperation between schools and other partner institutions. Teachers educational needs during their career

This diploma thesis deals with the educational needs of primary school teachers in concrete forms and areas of further education in specific stages of their careers. The first part is gradually devoted to theoretical knowledge about further education of teachers, its forms and areas and careers of teachers. The ending of this part is dedicated to further education of teachers abroad and the role school management has in the management of further education. The aim of the second part of the thesis, which is the research part, was to obtain the data neccesary to determinine the educational needs of primary school teachers throughout their careers. An questionnaire was used for this with an interview serving as a complimentary method. The conclusion summarizes the results of the research and it presents teachers' preferences in forms and areas of further education in certain stages of their careers.
Education of teachers of elementary art educational system

An elementary art educational system is deeply rooted in Czech educational and cultural tradition. The art education is widely spread, provides its students with large offer of study subjects in music, plastic art, dance and drama, all in one type of etablisment: elementary art school. Depending on student's interest that education can lead to further professional education or can provide him with art skills and development of art competencies. That educational system demands highly educated teachers, who are able to fullfil high standarts of lawfull conditions and who can keep being responsive to permanently changing expectations. An objective of my work is to describe needs, ways and possibilities of art teacher's education.
