Career management

The thesis deals with the career management from the perspective of the organization. The theoretical part concerns the definition and explication of the terminology (basic terms), approaches and methods in the process of the career management. The separate chapter is dedicated to the current issue of talent management and also to the interpretation of the research of career counseling in the workplace, which compares the approaches of employers to the career management of their employees in 25 states of the European Union. The incorporation of the domain of career management to the set of other HR activities in the organization makes also part of this thesis. The practical part of thesis describes the concrete example of work with prospective employees of the organization, i.e. the presentation of implementation of the development program for talented and key employees. The conclusion of the thesis comprises the evaluation of the effectiveness of the program, including the recommendations for its potential continuation in the future.
Spirituality in the Addiction Treatment

Spiritualita při léčbě závislosti Spirituality in the Addiction Treatment Lydie Kárová In my work, Spirituality in the Addiction Treatment, I focus on spirituality as a component of personality, which is involved in its formation and development. The work falls into three parts, in the first one I place spirituality into the Czech environment and present its definition, in the second part I look for the role of spirituality in the conception and treatment of addiction and in the third one I present four specific spiritual methods applied in the treatment of addiction. In all parts I work with a spirituality model by Zdeněk Vojtíšek. Seven levels of this model together form a complex component, which is spirituality. The starting concept of the spirituality model is that the individual levels transmit each other, they do not function separately, they can be variously represented and their source can be anything. This confirms an example of addiction that operates on all these levels. I define addiction as a dependent relationship that does not distinguish between forms of addiction, but emphasizes their common features. Career counseling as a part of a general system of coanseling at High schools

Thesis Career Counseling, as a part of a general system of counseling at high schools, deals with diverse approaches towards professional preparation at high schools. Any help, with making a right decision of choosing a career or continuing in studies, is undoubtedly an important source for each person at high school and has been occupying this distinctive role in education. This thesis is trying to bring about the changing of the position of Career Counselor's within the school system, in a general system of counseling. The goal of this thesis is to cover the various subjects' conception of counselors at high schools and also trying to entitle their targets in connection with reality. At the end there will be given a description and clarification of three different high schools (each with different cultural and social-economic conditions) and their correspondences towards Career counseling in cooperation with the content analyses of the subjects' conceptions of Career counseling.
Public employment services from the perspective of unemployed people

The bachelor thesis deals with the qualitative research issues of perception and evaluation of public employment services from the long term unemployed job seekers point of view. Attention is focused on their own personal experiences with Job centre staff and with some provided services, namely with retraining, job clubs, placement and counselling. Also, the goal is to find out if the job seekers themselves believe in finding a job via this institution, alternatively if they notice some barriers within functioning of the Job centre that would hinder them from finding a job. This paper is not limited only to the statements of facts but seeks to identify at least partly the phenomenons that can be hidden behind these evaluations and because of this reason there was qualitative method used in the research.
Experiences of regular smokers with addiction treatment of smoking

This diploma thesis deals with aspects of breaking the habit of smoking. My thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters: smoking, impact of smoking and breaking of the smoking habit. I also defined the history of smoking, type of tobacco consuming, addiction to tobacco, treatments of the addiction, negative aspects of smoking etc. Practical part consists of quantitative research through questionnaires. The aim of my thesis was to find out what is tobacco addiction, gather the information and experience from the smokers who had experience with breaking their habit, analyze the methods of breaking the smoking habit and explain their main motivations for quitting the smoking. I have also included statistic data of my research.
Business process modeling in investment banking

This master thesis deals with modeling of business processes in the areas of investment banking. There are three objectives. The first objective is the explanation of investment banking. The second objective is to model the system processes a specific part of the investment banking from the real environment, what is created here with the help of the methodology MMABP. In the end, the model is supplemented with the analysis in terms of process management, which is the third goal of the thesis.
Working class people in the region of Prachatice - their view of the phenomenon of death and dying and their coming to terms with the loss

The work deals with the phenomenon of death and dying, its tabooing, and the influence of religiosity on the loss of a loved one. It maps various views and findings of blue-collar workers concerning death encounters or losses of their loved ones. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part discusses the differences in perception of the phenomenon of dying and death in the past and today. Other chapters discuss the subject of the loss, grief, communication with survivors and their support in the context of social work. The impact of religiosity of the individual to compensate the loss is monitored in connection with the mourning. The aim of the practical part is - by research - to find out how the phenomenon of death and dying is perceived by different age groups of blue-collar workers in the region of Prachatice. A form of research is also used to elicit their possible reactions to death and the subsequent coping with the loss of a loved one.
