Impact of Juvenile Indebtedness on Subjective Experience of their Quality of Life
ŠVARCOVÁ, Anna
The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of adolescents' indebtedness. This is a topic that is not very reflected, but is very current. Qualitative research has been applied to the empirical part. To achieve the set goals and obtain the necessary data, the method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interviews were used. The aim of the research was to find out what the subjective experience of the quality of life of indebted adolescents is. During the research of the bachelor's thesis, emphasis was placed on individual aspects of their lives. I followed up with the goal, which had the task of mapping the causes and consequences of indebtedness for this target group. The last goal of the research part was to find out whether adolescents have the motivation to repay their debts. The presence of debts in life has a negative effect on the subjective perception of quality of life. Indebtedness affects several areas of life, including health, relationships, leisure and behavior. Adolescents have the motivation to repay debts, but in connection with debts they are not satisfied with their own lives. One of the obstacles to reach satisfaction is the insufficient saturation of needs that are not met in connection with debt. The bachelor thesis could be useful in the field of social work, especially for students in this field who are interested in insight into this issue. The work could also be an incentive for social workers, who are not yet involved in the prevention of indebtedness in children and adolescents.

KULICHOVÁ, Lucie
The main aim of this bachelor's thesis was to identify the most common behavioral problems of adolescent clients of the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The other aim was to show if and how it is possible, using methods and techniques of social work, to help clients to find a social standards for life. For the practical part of the bachelor's thesis a qualitative research was used, the form of four case studies, where the selection of basic sample wasn't made randomly but on purpose. The aim of the practical part wasn't to confirm or disprove the established hypotheses but to find new facts that connect individual cases and which can be described in more detail in my master's thesis, for example. The bachelor's thesis shows the fact that the risky behavior of adolescents is primarily caused by a bad family situation, lack of attention and love from parents. Adolescents try to escape from an unhealthy family environment to the environment of their peers where they feel understood. The most common behavioral problems of adolescent clients of the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children are theft, addictive substances abuse which also include smoking and alcohol use. One of the chapters is about institutional care and its negative effects on adolescents and children. This bachelor's thesis could be a good example for new social workers who have the opportunity to see how other social workers from another Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children have solved a specific case. That social work can be a model that can be used in their specific cases. Furthermore my bachelor's thesis shows the importance of an individual and patient approach to clients and families where it's necessary to explain the role of social workers and their competencies, motivate clients to cooperate and set understandable and achievable goals of individual plan of protection of the children.

In addition, the work deals with the possible way of these two forms of substitutional care on affecting mental development of their wards. Children's home, foster care and their historical evolution up to the present form in our country are described in the first half of this work. Furthermore, the term family and parenthood and their possible forms in the past and present are described. Children's and minors' needs, particularities of individual development phases in childhood and maturing, are described in this work as well. The suitability of children's homes and foster care, based on opinions of the authors of professional publications and ideas of professional public, are mentioned in the second part of the work. In conclusion, a part of this work commits to the way electronic mass media deal with this issue and which point of view they transfer to the non-professional public. The main result of the diploma thesis is that these three groups predominantly prefer the foster care to children's home. Primarily for the reason of real family environment which, unlike the children's home, the foster care can provide. Despite this fact, these groups are aware of the necessity of children's homes which, in some cases, could be a more convenient alternative to a birth family.

In this ward, they then attend school facilities that are not part of the institution and, according to the documentation of said ward, they are not successful in their studies and in most cases drop out of high school or apprenticeship. Therefore, the aim of this study was to find out what are the reasons and obstacles that prevent them from successfully completing their studies.
