2D position sensor for planar positioning platforms
Brisuda, Dominik ; Adámek, Roman (referee) ; Rajchl, Matej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with processing of the overview of 2D position sensors available and suitable for mechatronic systems such as “Ball on plate system”. With these systems it is inevitable for the system regulators to receive the most precise coordinates of the body position in sufficiently fast time. Another important thing is the shape, size, weight, and material of the regularized subject moving on the sensor. This statement follows, that different types of sensors will have different reactions for the given subject. Therefore, there is an overview of types of 2D sensors in the first part of the thesis. Afterwards, their suitability for given systems was considered. In the second part of the thesis there is a project of a unit for signal processing. This unit will record the signal from the sensor and drive it onto 2 outputs, which output voltage values will represent the placement of object on the sensor. By this processing, the position will be easily worked with, for example to bring it straight to the regulator. In the last part of the thesis the system was tested. The speed of scanning unit was measured, as well as the quality of the tested sensor. With the sensor quality linearity, minimal activating force and noise of the output signal on different places with different ballast weight were measured.
Attendance System Terminal
Chmelař, Jakub ; Mráz, Ľubomír (referee) ; Strašil, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis deals with electronic attendance systems which are nowadays being widely used to record employee attendance. General problem of attendance tracking is introduced in first part of the thesis along with a conceptual solution of an attendance system terminal. Author then describes a circuitry and a PCB design of a baseboard for a Cubieboard2 minicomputer, a RFID reader and a touchscreen LCD display. After successful testing of said PCB, the terminal has been completed and it was possible to focus on a software solution. Latter part of the thesis is dedicated to a specifics of the Allwinner A20 platform and its support by a GNU/Linux operating system. In following chapter author describes use of a Buildroot software for creating a Linux based binary image for an aforementioned minicomputer. Since an operating system and a peripheral support were successfully tested author could focus on a design and implementation of an attendance software that is described in the final chapter.
Design of Washing Machine
Jašová, Berta ; Buganská, Tamara (referee) ; Rubínová, Dana (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is design of front-loading automatic washing machine and options to built-in installation and top panel removal. The thesis objective is to simplify and enhance control interface and make the interface ready for colour options. The thesis is divided to analytic portion and accompanying report. The analytic portion describes historical development, existing technical solutions and designs. The accompanying report describes design process since design alternatives evaluation. The final design itself consists of physical form, ergonomic, technical, colour and graphical solutions.
Interactive System for Presentation of Genealogical Data
Kakiš, Dávid ; Vídeňský, František (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The thesis is aimed at the design and the creation of an application in order to provide an alternative for presenting genealogic data. The thesis documents the basic theoretical knowledge about genealogy, user interaction with a computer system and existing software solutions. As a result, a single-page web application was created using Laravel and AngularJS frameworks, including it's own way of storing data in MySQL. In practice, the application output should be able to provide a simple interface for comfortable use and presentation of family trees to a wide group of users
Control Panel with Touchscreen
Nevoral, Jan ; Crha, Adam (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design and construct a printed circuit board with touchscreen connection that will serve as a universal platform for controlling a variety of devices including industrial devices. The functionality of the board is demonstrated on control of gas boiler application. The first part attends to currently used and available graphic displays, touchscreens, communication interfaces and microcontrollers that allow control of a graphic display. The main focus is put on LCD TFT displays, resistive touch panels and microcontrollers with LCD TFT controller. The second part describes the selection of system components, design of printed circuit board and implementation of thermostat. The end of the work evaluates the produced device and discusses possible future extensions.
Automated Control and Monitoring of Central Heating for Older Buildings
Mužila, Matej ; Crha, Adam (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is a design of an automated heating regulation system for an old building. The thesis consists of a system architecture design, an implementation of the system, including prototype manufacturing of the required devices, and testing of the whole system in practice, with focus on functionality and efficiency. Several hardware devices were designed and manufactured, for which appropriate controlling software was implemented. The implemented software architecture enables users to control the system using a graphical user interface, and allows for an easy extension of the system. The graphical user interface, which is accessible both locally through a touchscreen and remotely using a web application, enables users to easily configure connected devices and regulated zones, and to set temperature level in the defined zones variably depending on a week day and time. The user interface also provides statistics about the heating system. The implemented automated heating regulation system was successfully tested in real conditions of a flat in a historical building. The system can be extended both hardware-wise and software-wise.
A Tool for Presenting Videos and Other Content on a Touchscreen
Zapletal, Libor ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the development of application for Windows using WPF focused on presenting videos using touch. The application is very easy to use and its main purpose is to facilitate the users to select the content that interests them. This thesis describes the main features of WPF, analysis of competing solutions, application design and its implementation. Furthermore, this thesis describes various problems during development. At the end of the thesis are evaluated the resultings of solution, its further development and testing method.
Communication & Man-Machine Interface for industrial sensors
Marcoň, Petr ; Fedra, Zbyněk (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis describes the possibilities of local and remote sensors configuration. Summary overview of the most common Fieldbus and protocols for remote configuration is performed. The focus is mainly dedicated to the HART protocol that is analyzed from the physical layer to the application layer. Circuit diagram and printed circuit board (PCB) of smart sensor with thermistor probe Pt1000 was designed. The HART protocol allows the smart sensor parameters setting as well. The functionality of remote configuration was tested in HARTWinConf program. The control elements for local sensor configuration, such as buttons, matrix keyboards and touchscreens, are described in the following chapter. Representation of the measurement values on display module is introduced too. The most important parameters and aspect of character LCD, graphics LCD and OLED displays are described in greater details. The DD12864YO-3A OLED display was selected to use with designed temperature smart sensor module. The display shows the loop current, the percentage of current range and the primary value - temperature. As the last step the EMI and EMS tests for all modules were performed.
Traffic monitoring using Raspberry PI
Zacpal, Michal ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and subsequent implementation of a unit for traffic monitoring using Raspberry PI. First section provides a quick overview of assistance systems, which use a road lane detection techniques. Next there is a description of two diferent methods for road lane detection. Follow the description of monitoring scene. Then the work describe the practical part including the design and realization of supporting electronics, selecting of each components, including the modifying of cameras, mechanical design and creating of unit. Another section is about selection and installation of appropriate software components necessary for running of the unit and the selection of development tools for creating user application. After description of graphical user interafce, there is a description of road lanes detection algorithm. At the end of the thesis is summarized a reliability of unit in real traffic situation.
