Uher, Vojtěch ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Mahrová, Andrea (referee)
Title: Utilization and preferences of smartwatches and their features for measuring health parameters in the adult population Objectives: The aim of this master's thesis is to analyze the utilization and preferences of smartwatches in the adult population and to examine their potential for measuring health parameters through a questionnaire survey. Methods: The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey. A questionnaire of our own design was utilized. Results: The average age of the respondents who filled out the questionnaire for this diploma thesis was 31.2 years. 63 out of 103 probands use smartwatches to monitor their health status, with the most frequently measured parameter being heart rate. All 63 respondents follow here. The most used function associated with physical activity is tracking the number of steps. 91 respondents are interested in this data. Factors such as quality, accuracy, and design play a key role when choosing a smartwatch. According to the respondents, the most used smartwatches are from Apple and Garmin. Apple Watch is used by 42% of probands and the Garmin brand by 26% of probands. Respondents often prefer the Apple brand for its compatibility with other devices, and Garmin for its high accuracy. Smartwatches also provide motivation for users to engage in...

Fantová, Michaela ; Baláš, Jiří (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
Title: Heart rate variability during walking in a forest environment and in a laboratory. Objectives: The aim of this study is to compare the variability of heart rate during walking in a forest and laboratory environment. Methods: In this study, heart rate was monitored using the Garmin HRM Dual chest strap during a 40minute walk in both natural and laboratory environments. The data were processed using Kubios software, enabling detailed analysis of heart rate variability (HRV). The research included HRV indicators such as RMSSD, SNS, and PNS indices, SD1 and SD2 indices, and a stress index, providing information on sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system activity and overall stress levels. This methodology allows for the assessment of organism responses to various stimuli and stressful situations. Results: The average values were as follows: heart rate was 92.5 bpm in the forest and 79 bpm in the laboratory; RMSSD was 21.5 ms in the forest and 34 ms in the laboratory; SD1 was 29 % in the forest and 30 % in the laboratory; SD2 was 71 % in both environments; the stress index was 16.5 in the forest and 10 in the laboratory; the PNS index was -1.835 in the forest and -0.95 in the laboratory; the SNS index was 2.63 in the forest and 0.965 in the laboratory. Conclusion: Sympathetic nervous...

Title: Determining the Level of Psychological Exhaustion in Sports and School Environments Among Upper Primary School Children in Sports and Regular Classes Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis project is to determine the level of psychological exhaustion in sports and school environments among upper primary school children in sports and regular classes. Additionally, the project aims to compare the level of psychological exhaustion in the school environment between students in sports classes and regular classes. Methods: This study was conducted using a quantitative research method with two anonymized online questionnaires. Specifically, the Athlete Burnout Questionnaire (ABQ) was used to determine the level of psychological burnout in sports, and the School Burnout Inventory (SBI) was used to assess the level of psychological burnout in the school environment. Both questionnaires are recognized tools for measuring burnout syndrome and were adapted for the purposes of this research. A total of 182 students aged 12-15 completed the questionnaires. From each grade, two classes from the upper level were selected, one sports class and one regular class. Data evaluation was carried out using the keys of each questionnaire, which include procedures for calculating scores. Descriptive statistics...

Presslová, Natálie ; Harbichová, Ivana (advisor) ; Komarc, Martin (referee)
Title: Motivation for Physical Activities among Secondary School Students Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to describe the level of motives leading to physical activity among secondary school students. A secondary objective is to compare the level of these motives between boys and girls. Methods: This work is empirical-theoretical, specifically a one-time cross-sectional descriptive study based on a survey. The research sample consisted of N = 271 secondary school students, who were administered a multidimensional questionnaire assessing motivation for physical activity (Motives for Physical Activity Measure - Revised; MPAM- R). Basic descriptive statistics were used for data processing. Results: The results showed that the primary motive among the respondents was fitness/conditioning (M = 5.4). Other motives included competence/challenge (M = 5.1), interest/enjoyment (M = 5.1), and appearance (M = 4.8). The weakest motive influencing the respondents was social interaction (M = 4.5). Gender differences in motivation were minimal in the studied sample. Keywords: motivation, physical activity, self-determination, MPAM-R

Title: Motivational intervention in primary school and its effect on physical activity of older school- age children Objectives: The main aim of the thesis was to investigate the possibilities of implementation and the influence of a complex motivational intervention program on physical activity (PA) of older school-age children during a two-month period within the school educational process. Methods: The effect of a two-month motivational programme on the promotion PA was examined in a mixed-methods research design with a group of 50 Year 7 pupils (28 girls and 22 boys, aged 12 to 13 years). The intervention included thematic educational lectures, physical education moments, learning in motion, motivational activities in physical education and active breaks between lessons. A school sports day and a sports trip were also implemented. The data collection methods used in the pre-test and post-test were: a questionnaire to monitor PA level and motor testing. Observational and descriptive methods were used throughout the programme. Teacher (n=7) focus group interviews and a student (n=50) survey were used to evaluate the program. Results: All planned activities of the motivational intervention were successfully implemented. In the feedback, both teachers and pupils responded positively to the...

Title: Comparison of the volume and intensity of physical activity of preschool children participating in organised and non-organized physical activity Objectives: The aim of the study is to compare the volume and intensity of physical activity in five to six-year-old children who attend a gymnastics preparation and children who attend just leisure time activities. Methods: This is a theoretical-empirical thesis in which two one-time measurements were made on the sample of 34 girls aged five to six years, divided into two groups (MŠ and GYM) based on their participation in organised or leisure-time physical activity. Accelerometers (Actigraph GT9X) and a weekly physical activity form were used to monitoring of physical activity. Statistical methods used for data analysis and evaluation included the Shapiro-Wilk test, Mann-Whitney U-test, two-sample T-test, Chi-square test, and descriptive statistical methods. Results: Results of the Mann-Whitney U-test and two-sample t-test performed to determine the difference in the volume of physical activity at all intensity levels in the observed groups of MŠ and GYM show that there are statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) in the cases of the total volume of physical activity per week at all intensity levels and at the light intensity level. There...
