The risk of learning disability in preschool children with communication disorders

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the risk of specific learning disabilities based on the partial function deficits in preschool children with communication disorders. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the terminology closely related to communication disorders. In addition, the thesis defines and clarifies the terminology of specific learning disabilities, their subdivisions as sell as describes the deficits of the partial function deficits, which are related to them. In the practical part, the course of the research investigation is described, and the analysis of the results is also carried out. The qualitative research was conducted in a preschool institute, and with the consent of the legal guardians of the participating children, individual anamneses of each children were taken. Subsequently, the diagnostic method of B. Sindelar, its evaluation and comparison with other individuals was carried out. The thesis also attempts to compare with the results published in the available literature on a similar topic. Analysis of Agrammatism in Aphasia

The thesis explores interdisciplinary collaboration between linguistics and speech therapy, focusing on impaired communication abilities - specifically, neurogenic disorders of speech communication known as aphasia. The aim of this work is to integrate linguistics and its effective application in the therapeutic care of patients with aphasia. The practical part is centred around the analysis of aphasic speeches, which are linguistically dissected in various language dimensions. Specific interferences and agrammatism are identified. This analysis subsequently leads to the creation of a model therapeutic unit, showcasing the significant applicability of linguistics in aphasiology. Possibilities of using art therapy to develop self-confidence in communication in children with communicative disability

Bakalářská práce se zabývá rozvojem sebevědomí při komunikaci u dětí prvního stupně s narušenou komunikační schopností pomocí arteterapie. V úvodní kapitole je podrobně popsána narušená komunikační schopnost a jaký má vliv na osobnost dítěte. Je zde kladen důraz na sebevědomí v komunikaci u osob s NKS. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na arteterapii. Popisuje jednotlivé formy, fáze setkání, metody, vymezuje cíle arteterapie a konkrétně arteterapii u osob s NKS. V poslední části je navržen arteterapeutický program cílený na rozvoj sebevědomí při komunikaci. Je rozvržen detailně do deseti setkání a zohledňuje specifické potřeby dítěte. Postupuje dle náročnosti. Hlavním cílem navrženého programu je nejen rozvoj sebevědomí při komunikaci, ale také odreagování a rozvoj fantazie. The diploma thesis is specially pedagogical and deals with the possibilities of applying functional behavioral assessment at kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The theoretical part describes the given issue of communication disorder and the development of the child's social-emotional skills. Support in the education of pupils with developmental language disorder in mainstream primary school

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of developmental language disorder and the support of pupils with this disorder in the educational environment of a mainstream primary school. The thesis focuses on the characteristics of developmental language disorder, its etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis and therapy. It also addresses the specific speech, language and communication needs of school-age pupils and their development in the school environment. In the context of inclusive education, the principles of inclusive pedagogy and the possibilities of primary education for pupils with developmental language disorders are described, including support from school counselling centres and individual education plans. The main aim of the research work was to analyse the possibilities of supporting pupils with developmental language disorder in mainstream primary school. Phoniatric and speech therapy intervention for people with voice disorders

The thesis was written in the Speech therapy field of study. Thesis deals with the topic of voice disorders and the mutual cooperation between speech therapists and phoniatrists in this area. The starting point of the theoretical part of the thesis is the definition of the fields of speech therapy and phoniatry. Then the theoretical part deals with voice disorders and the definition of voice. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the area of diagnosis, therapy and prevention of voice disorders. The goal of the practical part of the thesis was to find out, with the use of the information and knowledge from the theoretical part, how the cooperation between speech therapists and phoniatrists works, to analyse the procedures used for diagnosis and treatment of people with voice disorders and to reveal what other possibilities of cooperation between speech therapists and phoniatrists could be exploited. Diagnostic of school maturity of children with impaired communication ability

This thesis deals with the issue of school readiness of children with speech difficulties in the preschool period. The theoretical part of the thesis describes in detail the areas of preschool child development, as well as communication of the preschool child, school maturity and readiness, and diagnosis of school maturity and readiness. In the practical part of the thesis, qualitative research is conducted using a diagnostic method to assess school maturity in children with impaired communication skills who are awaiting entry into primary school. Subsequently, individual speech and language therapy interventions are designed for those children who, based on the results of the assessment, are ready to enter primary school. The aim of the work is to contribute to a better understanding of the issue of school readiness of children with impaired communication skills and to provide practical tools to support the communication skills of these children in preparation for entry into primary school. The design of the speech therapy intervention serves as a complement to home practice before starting primary school. Distance form of speech therapy intervention in preschool children during the COVID-19 pandemic

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to analyze a distance form of the speech therapy intervention by preschool age children during the COVID-19 pandemic, reveal the problems and benefits appeared during its use. The text is composed the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines the field of speech therapy, the speech development, communication disorder in preschool child. This section also describes a telemedicine during the COVID-19 pandemic, a distance speech therapy intervention and a communication channels for its implementation. The practical part contains the results of research investigation. It consists of quantitative research, implemented using an online questionnaire and the qualitative research implemented using an interview with clinical speech therapist. During the pandemic, the therapist offered a distance speech therapy intervention using the videoconferencing.
Development of individual language levels in preschool children

The diploma thesis deals with the development of language levels in children aged 5 to 6 years. These are children before starting primary school. At this age, the stage of preschool education and the development associated with it ends. The end of this period is specific in that children are preparing for the start of compulsory schooling. By the end of the preschool period, the child should achieve certain results in the development of language levels. The goal of the practically oriented part of the diploma thesis is to analyze the development of language levels in preschool children. The work is logically divided into two parts. The first of them introduces speech development, defines the pre-school period and delimits language levels on the basis of documents from the specialist literature. These are theoretical knowledge necessary to create a comprehensive picture of the investigated issue. Furthermore, the thesis describes the most frequently occurring types of impaired communication skills typical of this period.
