The Importance of School for Regional and Local Identity Formation - case study the Tábor Region

The educational reform, current changes in society and closer cooperation with municipalities as the usual founders of schools allow schools to focuse on less common and specific themas and work with them in a new way. In these days, the school itself is not only a place of education, it is a very important element of cultural and social life of every municipality as well. Based on these changes, the possibility of schools and individual teachers to form territorial identity of pupils and local residents comes to the fore. That is why the aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse teachers' attitudes to teaching about the territorial identity and its forming "outside" the school. For our research three small schools with composite classes in the Tábor region are chosen. Subsequently we analyse their school education programmes in the cotext of territorial identity, by the in-depth interview with teachers we analyse the intended currirulum and by the observing of appropriate lesson we analyse thematically focused realised curriculum. Reading lessons for children with learning disabilites at small school

This master thesis deals with the questions of teaching the small school children to read. Particularly, there is paid attention to teaching children with reading disorders. The theoretical part of the thesis specifies the reading disorders and the methods of work which lead to the succesful training of the reading abilities. The practical part of the thesis subsumes working with children of the small school "ZŠ Josefa Suka" and the kindergarten "MŠ Křečovice,preparing materials for teaching reading to either children without any learning disabilites or those with disabilites and verifying the materials in practical training.
Problems and perspectives of effective use of ICT at small schools from the viewpoint of their managers

ICTs currently represent great potential for streamlining and improving of the educational process and its management in primary schools. But small schools have some specific features that complicate the use of ICT. The aim of this thesis was to implement the probe into the opinions and attitudes of directors of small schools on the current state and perspectives of ICT, as well as barriers they encounter in their schools. The work is of theoretical and also empirical character. As a method for the empirical part of the thesis the interview was used with a small group of directors (partial study) and a questionnaire with closed and free questions answered by 181 directors from the entire Czech Republic. In addition to answers to research questions also some suggestions for possible ways to overcome barriers and effective use of ICT in small schools were obtained from respondents.

ABSTRACT: In the theoretical part of this work I was paid the most concise summary of scientific findings on the general theme of creativity and its separation from various angles. In the practical part, I then conducted research with Torranceho creativity tests, which aimed to identify and record the progress and development of creativity in a selected sample of students in primary school, which has been for four months, targeted action. Hypothesis only visible shift in receptive students has not been confirmed. Better test results were found for most students. It surpassed my expectations. Targeted activities for pupils and proved to be a suitable way of developing creativity.
Procedures for the development of literacy in terms of the small school

The subject of this thesis is the issue of the development of literacy skills of pupils in primary education through conditions offered by small schools. The aim is to analyze the possibility of developing reading literacy among pupils in the first grade of primary school in terms of the small schools; setup and subsequent use of good conditions for the development of reading. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part are defined the theoretical background related to the above mentioned issues. Custom research was carried out through action research, completed a questionnaire that the children completed at the beginning and end of the period. The main objective was to determine the initial state of literacy in groups of pupils and through changes in education, the creation of good conditions and use innovative methods to monitor the process of the individual activities of students, capturing deficiencies and seek alternative approaches and solutions. In the practical part, I rely on knowledge of the direct teaching. I point out the difficulties that arose in their own activities with children. Education of student with mental disability in small school with composite classes

The goal of my Bachelor thesis was visualising the integration of a menttaly disabled pupil in small school with composite classes. The particular output of my thesis is mapping 5-years educational activity of primmary school pupil with moderate mental disability and survey of penetrability classes with conection to frame education plan. Based on the information from the professional literature, own practice and consulting teachers and parents I have gained background material to perform the qualitative research. In the practical part of my thesis I carried out research using the case study method observation, dialogue and pupil´s paedagogical documentation analysis.Findings of this thesis will be used in the education of the public and parents in the area of integration in small schools with composite classes.
Fitness and Interest in Physical Activity of Youth (9 - 12 aged) Living in the Countryside

This bachelor thesis is dealing with physical fitness and physical activity of youth aged 9 -12 years old living in a countryside. Theoretical part of the work is aimed at measuring somatic data and testing physical performance according to Unifittest manual. In total 60 children from fully organized school Chvalšiny and 46 children from semi organized school Kájov participated in this measurement. Acquired data were elaborated by tables and graphs. Consequently these data from fully organized school and semi organized school were compared. The evaluation of acquired data showed that the pubescents at semi organized schools do reach better results than pubescents at fully organized schools.
Evaluation of classroom climate by children in small schools in the context of their integration into the second elementary school

My thesis coucerns in a level of a climate among the schoolmates in the 5. class in the small school and subsequently in the 6. class in the fully organized primary school. The climate was compared by the same scholars during two classes. The sample coucerns in 3 classes in the small schools in the villages in the surroundings of Jindřichův Hradec and 3 classes in the fully organized schools in the Down. In the practical part was used a questionnaire MCI, specifically, his current form. Aime of a thesis was to find out which chmate there is in the small schools, if the participants further work with this situation and, finály, whether the chmate ganges with a transfer the pupils into a fully organized primary school.
Social Climate of the Class at Small Schools with Mixed-age Classrooms

The theoretical part explains terms such as environment, atmosphere and climate in the class. It deals with the social climate and all factors shaping it, i.e. with the teacher, the schoolchild, parents and the school environment. The next part of the theoretical work is devoted to the class as a social group and to small class schools and their specialties. Furthermore ? there is stated an overview of teaching methods used at the first stage of the elementary school on. The practical part is focused on a research of social climate in the classes of the small-class schools from the teachers´ and schoolchildren´ perspective. The respondents were schoolchildren of the four classes and their teachers. The methods used: a standardized questionnaire "My Class Inventory", observation and interview. The results are presented in tables and graphs, completed with comments. There are also mentioned positives and negatives of the grades, which are joined into one classroom and the teaching methods used in small class schools.
