Bachelor’s thesis "Equal Opportunities in Construction Engineering" deals with gender equality of employment opportunities, work-life balance, alternative employment and employment of graduates. Basic terms are introduced in the theoretical part. Based on the hypotheses carried out questionnaire survey is evaluated in the practical part. According to the evaluation of the investigation, steps are proposed to improve equal opportunities in construction companies.

At the end of this thesis there are practical suggestions regarding how women can assert themselves on managerial positions with possible contribution to the company.

This thesis focuses on gender issues in management. The emphasis is puting on role of gender in management, on differences in harmonization of the working and family life for men and women and with respekt to difficult situations in career building for women, especially in matters of competence for the performance of this office. The thesis further focuses on the issues of equal opportunities for men and women to build their own career, gender inequalities and problems in relationships of families, households and careers. Part of the thesis also describes the public opinions on gender issues in management. The last chapter introduces the issue of managers free time. The diploma thesis analyses local authorities taking part in the competition The Authority of the Year:"Half to Half" - Respect for Equal Opportunities. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the progress, regress or stagnation of the selected local authorities with respect to gender equality. The thesis also carries out a more in-depth analysis of the current state of gender equality promotion by local authorities. The theoretical part introduces the background of promoting gender equality. Attention is paid to the strategy of gender mainstreaming and to how gender equality is connected to public administration. The research aims to analyse the development of local authorities in their promotion of gender equality, and it also provides conclusions and recommendations based on this analysis. Discrimination of older persons in their access to employment

The thesis "Discrimination of older persons in their access to employment"focuses on the discrimination problem of persons over 50 years of age when they look for a job. The discrimination is one of the factors that prevent older persons from entering the labor market, which affects not only those persons but the whole society as well. At first, the thesis determines the theoretical concepts, which it comes from. Those concepts go through the whole thesis. Further on, it outlines a brief survey of national and European legal norms that deal with the given problem. It also introduces institutions that manage the problem and that we can contact in case of encounter with discrimination. In the next part, the thesis focuses on the negative aspects of discrimination and on the occurrence frequency of discrimination itself in the Czech Republic, particularly in the job advertisements and during job interviews. The practical part of the thesis concentrates on the discrimination of person over 50 in the district of Teplice, both from the point of view of the unemployed persons and the employees of the Labor Office. The final part identifies main fields of problems, which it propose possible solutions for.
Approach towards trans and non-binary students in Czech schools

1 ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis was to explore the approach of schools towards trans and nonbinary students in Czech Republic. The theoretical part presents an analysis and comparison of various approaches to this issue and places it in the context of the Czech educational system. The practical part of the thesis brings quantitative research devoted to the assessment of the whole situation in a comprehensive form from the perspective of trans and nonbinary students themselves, with an extension of qualitative insight. The survey conducted through electronic questionnaires focused on experiences in the field of: school procedure after coming out; solving specific situations; the school's approach to queer and gender themes; safety in the school environment. The research involved 105 people who provided 122 experiences from schools in primary, secondary and tertiary education. The results provided a detailed description of the current situation and its significant diversity, while also pointing to specific problematic aspects and differences in the degree of respect for the identities of students growing along with the level of education. Women in decision making bodies in Czech sport (focus on sport federations of Czech Sport Union)

Title: Women in decision making bodies in Czech sport (focus on federations of Czech Sport Union) Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis based on existing theoretical knowledge is find out what is the representation of women in management positions of sports associations is, to reveal the reasons or fears of women to become sports officials and to assess the possibilities or interest in becoming part of management structures. Methods: The main method is the questionnaire survey method. Women in the management structures of sports associations were asked to answer particular set of questions. Contacts for the interviewed women were obtained by analyzing secondary data from the websites of individual sports associations. Results: Due to the secondary data analysis the numerical representation of women and men as sports officials was determined. However, the numbers are rough regarding the lack of union numerical data. Both, the analysis and the questionnaire survey confirmed the numerical superiority of men in almost all unions. In most cases, women also state they work voluntarily within the union and are most represented between the ages of 36 and 60.They find reasons for low interest in becoming a sports officials mainly because the activity takes too much time and the main obstacles include...
