Development of the British Parliament from 1707 to 1901 The subject of this thesis is the process of development of the British Parliament from the unification of the Kingdom of England and Scotland and the creation of Great Britain in 1707 until the end of the rule of Queen Victoria in 1901. The objective of this thesis is to analyze the British political system of the 18th century, explain the relationship between parliament and other branches of power, describe the parliamentary reforms in the 19th century and the related composition of the upper and lower house of parliament. Last but not least, the thesis deals with the emergence of a constitutional monarchy in relation to the British Parliament. The first chapter deals with the first half of the 18th century, describes the reign of Queen Anne, during which the Acts of Union 1707 were passed, and the Treaty of Utrecht was approved. The chapter also includes the accession of the Hanoverian dynasty to the British throne and the emergence of the institution of Prime Minister. Competences of kindergarten pedagogical leaders

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the position of the head pedagogical worker in a preschool. The theoretical part defines the head pedagogical workers in preschools, especially the school director, their legislative framework, and their job responsibilities. Furthermore, the theoretical part defines the concept of competence and examines the competencies of preschool directors and their competency models, which are based on their job responsibilities. The empirical part investigates, through quantitative research, whether the head pedagogical workers possess the necessary competencies required for managing preschools. The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey, which was sent to preschool directors located in the Central Bohemian Region. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to determine which areas of the individual competencies the preschool directors consider most important for performing their role. In the empirical part of the study, it was found that among managerial competencies, the mastery of managerial skills was considered most important by the directors for performing their role. Professional development of human resources in selected organisation

This diploma thesis focuses on the professional development of HR Officers in a selected organization. The main goal is to find out and describe the approach of HR Officers in the selected organization to their own professional development. The presented work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, areas and terms related to the researched issue are defined. The first chapter deals with the field of personnel studies. Specifically, it is dedicated to HR Officers, their roles, HR activities, competencies and opportunities for further professional education. The second chapter focuses on the area of employee education and development. It deals with corporate education, systematic education, methods of education and development, and motivation and barriers in the further education of adults. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the description of the methodology of the research investigation. For the purposes of the diploma thesis, a qualitative method was chosen, and a case study was chosen as the research design. Výuka výchovy k občanství a základů společenských věd během pandemie covid-19

Between 2020 and 2021, the whole world was dealing with a coronavirus pandemic that had a major impact on education. An unprecedented number of pupils and students found themselves in distance learning for which they were unprepared. The purpose of this paper is to determine what impact distance education has had on the teaching of civics and social studies. In the beginning of the thesis, the concept of key competences will be discussed and the quality of teaching of civics and social studies during traditional face-to-face teaching will be analysed. In the next part of the thesis, the course of the pandemic in the Czech Republic and its impact on the whole educational system will be analysed in detail. In the final part of the thesis, the author will try to answer the question whether it is possible to teach these subjects fully during distance education and will investigate the experience of distance learning of teachers of these subjects in České Budějovice.
Task shifting in nurses' competencies

The aim of this theses called Task shifting in nurses'competencies is to evaluate whether nurses in the Czech Republic know their legally established competencies and whether they support their further increase. Another goal is to compare the level of nurses'competencies in the Czech Republic and England. The research reveals that Czech nurses are not familiar with their legal competencies. However, they support their further increase on condition that their salary and legal protection rises. Following the example of England, Czech nurses could take over the prescribing of drugs and the interpretation of ECG.
Paramedics Point of View on Pharmacotherapy in Prehospital Care

The bachelor thesis on the topic of Pharmacotherapy in pre-hospital emergency care from the perspective of a paramedic is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the competencies of paramedics, individual drug groups that are used in pre-hospital emergency care and are part of emergency medical service vehicles. Three goals were set for the bachelor thesis. The first goal was to map the paramedic´s knowledge of pharmacotherapy. The second goal was to map the knowledge and procedure of paramedics about the possibilities of pharmacotherapy administration without the indication of an emergency medical service doctor. The third goal was to map the knowledge and procedure of paramedics about the possibilities of pharmacotherapy administration based on the indication of an emergency medical service physician. A qualitative research survey using the technique of semi-structured interview was carried out. Interviews were conducted with 14 paramedics of the South Bohemian Region Emergency Medical Service from the regional centres of Prachatice, Strakonice, Tábor, Písek, Český Krumlov, České Budějovice and Jindřichův Hradec. The results of the work say that the interviewed paramedics have enough knowledge in the issue of pharmacotherapy in pre-hospital emergency care, in which they are well oriented, both in drug groups and in indications and dosage. Paramedics know their competences, but they sometimes consciously exceed them.
Urban After-School Environmental Education Programs in the USA

The thesis deals with environmental education programs in cities and towns of the USA. In the introductory part, it describes the idea and starting points of environmental education in the Czech Republic and the United States of America. It briefly describes environmental education in formal and non-formal education. It characterizes the urban environment and its determinants in relation to the offer of leisure programs. In the second part, it deals with six selected programs that were implemented in the USA between 2011 and 2021. It describes these programs and presents their evaluation from the perspective of participants and organizers. In the final part, it deals with the analysis of the evaluation of programmes, and it also mentions which one it sees as an inspirational example of good practice for urban environmental education programmes in the Czech Republic.
