The use of smart drugs by college students

The bachelor thesis focuses on the use of smart drugs by university students. This phenomenon is becoming more popular in society, but it has not been properly researched and debated in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to describe experiences of smart drug use among selected university students in the Czech Republic and to understand their motivations for using them. The first part of the thesis, the theoretical part, describes what smart drugs are, what their prevalence is and how their use can be viewed through moral and social behavioural perspectives. The theoretical part also discusses how the use can be viewed as a social problem or a solution to social problems. In the second part of the thesis, the methodological part, the aims of the thesis, the research questions, the chosen research methods and the ethical aspects of the research are presented. The last part of the thesis, the analytical part, is devoted to the analysis of the collected data. The relation between healthy lifestyle and alcohol consumption among college students

BACKGROUND: A healthy lifestyle is a popular topic nowadays, even among college students. However, the use of alcohol, which is associated with the lives of college students for various reasons, such as stress or sudden life changes, is also widespread. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this research was to find out whether there is a difference in the level and patterns of alcohol use between a group of healthy living college students and unhealthy living college students at different universities in the Czech Republic. METHODS: The research was conducted in the form of a quantitative questionnaire survey on a sample of college students in the Czech Republic. The questionnaire was distributed through social networks, and consisted of questions created on the basis of the theoretical part of this research and questions for alcohol use from the ESPAD study (Chomynová, Csémy, Grolmusová & Sadílek, 2014). The research group consisted of 150 respondents, namely 114 women and 36 men, and was subsequently divided into two groups. The healthy living group consisted of 77 respondents and the unhealthy living group of 73 respondents who either used an addictive substance or did not engage in any physical activity. The prevalence of addictive behavior on the Internet and substance use among university students in the humanities and technical field

At present, the topic of addictive behaviour on the Internet is a highly discussed topic. In conjunction with it, young adults are increasingly emerging as a vulnerable group, specifically individuals entering university. Students of different learning backgrounds also have different hobbies in the online world. Drug experiments often take place during this period. The main objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of addictive behaviour on the Internet and the use of addictive substances in two completely different university disciplines. Another objective was to find out whether there are any differences in the results of the respondents and whether there are some connections in the phenomena studied. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Charles University and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU. For the purposes of this research, a questionnaire was selected, the questionnaire comprised of these standardized questionnaires: a Griffith questionnaire, selected questions from the European School Study on Alcohol and Other Drugs, the CAGE Questionnaire, the CAST questionnaire and the EIUS questionnaire by Škařupová. Stress between university students of engineering and psychology during the pandemic

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the experience of study stress in university students of engineering and psychology during the COVID-19 pandemic. The theoretical part first deals with the issue of stress - its definition, types, manifestations, stressors and the experience of stress and emotions in students in connection with university studies. The second part of the theoretical work is devoted to general information about the pandemic as an emergency crisis situation in the Czech Republic in the spring of 2020 and the possible psychosocial consequences associated with quarantine and isolation. The research of the empirical part is focused on the differences in the experience of stress from university studies during the pandemic between two different groups - students of psychology and engineering. The design of the research method is mixed. The quantitative research examines hypotheses through data obtained from questionnaires with answers recorded on a Likert scale. The data is evaluated in the STATISTICA 13 program. The qualitative research seeks answers to research questions by evaluating semi-structured interviews with three representatives from each study group. Research of awareness on demographic issues among university students in Czechia Abstract The aim of this study was to find opinions, knowledge and awarness of college students in Czechia about demography and population development in Czechia and in the world. We used two methods of selecting respondents: Stratified random sampling and chain selection. We obtained responses from respondents electronically using social networks and email. We analyzed the survey in particular according to individual and summary factual and individual opinion issues. We compared the study results with the some study results from France survey in 2015 and INED survey. A total of 1,149 respondents took part in the survey, of which 35% men and 65% women. Most respondents correctly estimated the population in the world or in Czechia and also they consider demography and population development to be important topics. It was interesting that most respondents considered the total fertility rate in the Czechia to be lower than in Spain or Italy, on the contrary, they thought the total fertility rate in the Czech Republic was higher than in Ireland. Is free will simply an illusion? Or is it justifiable that we have built on free will our whole human society, including the legal system? For several centuries, there has been a debate in philosophical and theological circles about whether there is a free will or, on the contrary, our life is determined from the very beginning. I would like to contribute to better understanding of free will through my Bachelor Thesis, especially from the point of view of the latest knowledge in psychology. Including history, various philosophical and theological conceptions of this phenomenon, I will deal with an influence of faith in free will on our psyche and happiness in life. The bachelor thesis titled "Academic Pastoral Care in Bohemia" provides a description of function and content of pastoral care in Christian community in each university city of Bohemian church region. In the first-place thesis concentrate on pastoral care of young people. The theoretical part deals with the essential themes of youth, students, pastoration and its content, after that are presented components of pastoral content. Principal is the question of community life and its programme. A special point of this topic presents preparation for christening. In the beginning of the practical part are presented communities. There are observed the size of group, content of pastoration. And there are also presented the pluses and minuses of the place and community. Time perspective and procrastination in college students

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the time orientation of students of higher education institutions in the Czech Republic and to examine the links of the relevant perspective to the degree of the procrastinational behavior of the individual. The theoretical framework of the thesis focuses on a comprehensive presentation of the time perspective concept, especially in terms of the multidimensional approach of P. Zimbard, including the relevant diagnostic tool. Furthermore, the thesis describes the current phenomenon of procrastination in the concept of individual psychological directions and specific forms of procrastination. Based on the synthesis of the above-mentioned concepts, the study describes previous studies dealing with the interrelationships of procrastination and the creation of timeframes, whose specific elements represent the meritorious content of an empirical study of this work. For the correlation research, an extended version of the Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory questionnaire is used in the time perspective, which, unlike previous research, will allow a detailed analysis of the potential presence of completely new relationships. Analysis of drinking mode of university students Czech republic - College of polytechnics Jihlava

The presented diploma thesis aims to analyse drinking regime of students of The College of Polytechnics Jihlava. Data source was sampled via questionnaire in students of full-time study. The theoretical part includes general data concerning water generally, bottled mineral water, sweetened lemonades, juice, milk. In addition, information about principles and problems of drinking regime, furthermore alcohol drinks, coffee, tea. Last section of practical part describes anatomy and physiology of kidneys and urinary tract. Research shows that majority of students follow drinking regime, they drink regularly during day as during whole week and they drink adequate drinks. Most students drink tap water what is the best fluid for hydration regime. More than half of students drink and none of the students drink often. Coffee is a favourite drink but most students drink the recommended amount or less. This diploma thesis can serve to compare with other results carried out by another college or university.
