The Generation Z and digital work diploma thesis examines the currently ongoing entry of individuals born between 1995 and 2012 into the work environment. The specifics of Generation Z's approach to digital work are examined in terms of their use of digital communication technologies, their experience of stress and perception of collaboration with older generations. The conducted qualitative research aims to provide insight into the way digital work is performed and seen by Generation Z.

ABSTRAC The theme of this dissertation work is teachers' burnout syndrome. The theoretical part contains information from scientific literature concerning terms: burning out, exhaustion and stress, and shows their causes and symptoms. Teacher's personality is described from points of view of typology, professional demands, burnout syndrome and it is also explained how to prevent this syndrome. The empirical part of the work is represented by the research on various types of Prague schools. The standardized questionnaire Burnout Measure adopted from authors Ayal Pines and Elliot Aronson is used on that matter.

TITLE: The risk of the syndrome of burn-out at some chosen special educators working with pupils who are mentally or mentally and physically handicapped AUTHOR: Anna Dvořáková DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Jaroslava Hanušová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The thesis deals with problems of the syndrome of burn-out at special educators working with children who are mentally handicapped or who have the combined handicap. Education of children with this sort of handicap can easily lead to syndrome of burn-out. Theoretical part characterizes problems of the syndrome of burn-out and education of the pupils who are mentally handicapped or who have the combined handicap. It provides needed foundation for the actual research. Practical part finds out using qualitative methods of research the urgency of external factors of danger of the birth of the syndrome of burn-out and efforts to prevent these factors in some chosen schools. The Risk of Burnout in Primary School Teachers This diploma thesis deals with the risk of burnout syndrome in primary school teachers. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis provides an overview of the theoretical concept of burnout in teachers and the effects of burnout on their job performance and their personal life. The empirical part of the thesis introduces a qualitative research of the risk of burnout in primary school teachers who study the combined form of the 5- year Master's study programme at the Faculty of Education of Charles University, while working full-time. I interviewed several teachers who have been at the greatest risk of burnout, based on a questionnaire survey, about the factors that affect their mental health, about their perceived form of support and about their coping skills. Up to two-thirds of teachers experience exhaustion during their studies. Chronic stress, which is at the highest level during last years of the 5-year study programme, negatively affects their well-being, their family life and their physical and mental health. Stress factors and their possible effect on the teachers in a selected school

This diploma thesis focuses on stress factors and their possible effect on the teachers in a selected school. The theoretical part describes stressful and risk factors, which negatively influence the occupation of a teacher and therefore affect teachers' mental health. Not only stress and stressful situations are described in this chapter but also their causes and possible techniques to manage them. This part also deals with occupational burnout and its most common causes. Further, the occupational burnout prevention and relaxation techniques to avoid the burnout are described. The last important topic in the theoretical part is mental hygiene and how is mental hygiene perceived. This topic also concentrates on principles of mental hygiene, which are considered to be a tool for supporting mental health and can help avoid the mentioned syndrome. The final theoretical part describes professional development as a kind of protection of mental hygiene and gives examples of selected specific techniques. Burnout syndrome of teachers

The diploma thesis is concerned with the burnout syndrome in the case of teachers at elementary schools in Prague. The main target is to define the rate of burnout among teachers according to the grade of the school, level of education and the length of their practice. Also their sex and age were evaluated. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the specifics of teachers' profession with their extra requirements. There is drawn a comparison between the teachers at the 1st and the 2nd grade focused on the difficulty of their profession connected to the burnout syndrome. There are also defined the stressful situations which influent the burnout syndrome. The problem of burnout syndrome is described in general and aimed at the teachers, too. The practical part contents the empirical research of data obtained from the written questionnaire - quantitative method. The data were processed and analysed with a computer programme. I checked the result reliance on sex, age, level of education, length of practice and the grade of the school where the teacher affects. I compared my results with specialized literature.
