AeroWorks: Mode Selection Panel for Autopilot
Cibula, Peter ; Dittrich, Petr (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This thesis deals with the implementation of the aplication for the autopilot mode selection panel. It describes automatic flight control systems from their origins to the present. It deals with the spacial model of aircraft motion. It also describes the hardware characteristics of the panel, the application in terms of implementation and functionality, testing on flight simulator SimStar and future plans.
Automatic Flight Control System Design for a Jet Aircraft
Testy vytvořeného systému prokázali schopnost dosáhnout a udržet požadovaný úhel náběhu.
Control and Position Stabilization of a Small Flying Drone
Martinec, Adrián ; Zamba, Martin (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a drone in a form of a plane, driven by autopilot. I have solved the selected issues using a theory of flight and regulators from an automatization area. The text describes a functional solution. Unfortunately because of an accident, no final tests were performed. A contribution of this work is in exploring a functionality of various parts that are used with a drone building process. That includes a use of regulators and creation of libraries driving those parts.
Design and implementation of UAV SW architecture
Kuchař, Vojtěch ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes design and implementation of SW architecture for autopilot of unmanned aircraft including flight data logging, integration of automatically generated code from Matlab Simulink and communication with ground station.
The all-metal aeroplane UL and LSA category with instalation of modern avionics, control and test systems
Kadlčík, Jiří ; Třetina, Karel (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
This thesis is focused on a project of all metal aircraft by UL-2 and LSA rules. The background research of aircrafts in existing category has been made in the market. The concept, with whom this thesis deals with, has been projected thanks to this analysis. The second part of the thesis is focused on avionics equipments of aircrafts. Market analysis has been made and the way of medernizing small sports airfts' equipment in categories UL and LSA has been projected.
Small UAV parachute recovery system design
Pejchar, Jan ; Jebáček, Ivo (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the small UAV’s rescue system design. The thesis is divided into related sections reflecting the design process. The first part deals with general problems of parachute equipment. Another part is evaluating critical situations in manual and autonomous control of the airplane. The deceleration device is based on this critical situations as well as the calculated structure loading. Next is the description and evaluation of experiments to verify the performance of modern parachutes. The thesis also includes a simplified proposal ejection mechanism designed in 3D software and documentation of the of model aircraft construction for testing and predicting behaviour in autonomous flight mode.
Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA) of 4-seat aircraft
Jakl, Jan ; Weisman, Andrej (referee) ; Hlinka, Jiří (advisor)
At the beginning this master's thesis includes of a comprehensive review of aircraft accidents in this category, 2-6-digit aircraft for passenger transport. Since this work focused on autopilot, so naturally there is a basic overview of most common autopilots, which can be found in these aircraft now, but in the future. Functional hazard analysis (FHA) for the 4-seater plane for passenger services primarily investigates cases of catastrophic malfunction, which in most cases accompanied by the likelihood taken from different databases. The airplane, which is created for this analysis will preferably equipped with instruments for IFR flights. There is also a brief overview of the regulations necessary for the installation of these systems in the airplane. At the end of this work is to design the dashboard, a design layout of equipment for future aircraft, with an emphasis on maximum transparency.
Stability and Manoeuvrability of Experimental Aircraft VUT 001 Marabu
Marešová, Eva ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Kouřil, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a stability and manoeuvrability of experimental aircraft VUT 001 MARABU. It contains calculation of aerodynamic stability derivations and other data necessary for evaluation of static and dynamic stability. Assessment of convenient autopilot.
Stability and autopilot system for airplane RC model
Čamaj, Peter ; Republic), (SAAB Technologies Czech (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis deals with design and realization of stabilizing and autopilot system, which is used in radio controlled model planes. The thesis contains a proposal of hardware platform, which is able to control the plane model based on data measured from a sensor system. Moreover, this thesis describes a software implementation of individual modules, which is measured the onboard values. The basic principles of stabilization and autonomous flight control are also summarized. In conclusion, the system is subjected to flight tests.
Methods for parameters setting of controller by plane with flight control with floating level centre in MATLAB-Simulink
Náglová, Katarína ; Burlak, Vladimír (referee) ; Pivoňka, Petr (advisor)
The thesis is focused on aircraft flight level control in case when the location of center of gravity changes during flight. The theoretical part of the thesis describes basics of aerodynamics, which are necessary to understand airplane's behavior and its control theory. Basics of state theory and stability of systems, as it is used for design of linear model. This part also mentions mathematical equations of nonlinear model of business jet and discusses conventional and adaptive methods used to design autopilot parameters. Several autopilots were designed in practical part of the thesis. The most important part is the logic used to determine location of center of gravity of the airplane. The models use nonlinear model of an airplane that better represents the real environment and conditions.
