Entry knowledge and ideas about Central European states for pupils of younger school age

The thesis deals with the scope and the level of entry knowledge and ideas about Central European states for pupils of younger school age. The aim of the work is to evaluate, through a quantitative research inquiry, the comprehensive knowledge of central European countries of pupils in the first grade. The evaluation was carried out on the base of a questionnaire survey of 396 respondents from eight primary schools, allowing an assessment of the level of geographical knowledge of primary pupils in fourth and fifth years. The analytical part of the thesis focuses on results and their comparison according to several categories, which are differences in knowledge across schools, years and gender. This section also looks at the differences arising from the location and size of the primary schools in question and, last not least, the source of this knowledge. The final practical section is based on the results of the survey and contains educational material, which is extended to include a methodical guide for educators and suggestions for teaching central European states.
Teaching mini volleyballn according to the rules of the orange mini volleyball at the 1st grade of elementary school

The diploma thesis focuses on the teaching of mini volleyball at the 1st grade, specifically on the teaching of mini volleyball according to the rules of orange mini volleyball, which uses the basic game activities of volleyball. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the general characteristics of volleyball and basic volleyball rules, which are applied in a simplified form in mini volleyball. Individual volleyball activities are analyzed in the work - serving, receiving service, passing, recording, attacking strike, blocking and picking. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the organization of volleyball training and the related factors of the didactic process, i.e. the coach and the player. In addition to the factors of the didactic process, the work also discusses didactic forms and procedures for practicing game activities. In the next chapter, the rules of Color minivolleyball are discussed in detail, which are divided according to the colors that mark the individual levels. Using Functional Behavioral Assessment in Pupils with ADHD at Primary School

My diploma thesis deals with the current topic and problem of pupils with ADHD at the first stage of Primary Futher, diagnostic and subsequent intervention approaches to such pupils using Functional Behavior Analysis. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to the topic of ADHD, the second part is focused on Functional Behavior Analysis (FACH). In the empirical part, we verified how the cooperation between teacher and student with ADHD takes place at the 1st stage of elementary school. The practical part is processed on the basis of a qualitative research survey, in which I chose the FACH method, to create interventions. This is action research. The aim of the research was to use and verify the diagnostic and interventional approach of FACH in the work of teachers with pupils with ADHD.
The Exploration Oriented Teaching of Technical Subjects in Primary School Education

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of research- oriented teaching of technical topics at the 1st grade of primary school. The work will be divided into two parts, while the first part will deal with the characteristics of the terms technology and technical education, the next part will focus on finding elements od research approach in FEP framework educational program, followed by a description of IBE inquiry based education and definition of terminology it is closely related to the role of pupil and teacher in IBE, which will also be elaborated in the first part of the work together with the definition of historical circumstances related to IBE. Another key topic of the first part of the work will be inquiry based education in technical education. At the end of the theoretical part, an analysis of various projects and publications that focus more on the research approach will be performed. The second part of the work will focus on the examination of specific topics of lessons for research- oriented teaching, in the form of designing six teaching topics for the integration of research- oriented teaching into regular teaching at the 1st grade of primary school. All proposals are eriched with the overall preparation of lessons, including photo documentation of their procedures and instructions.
Word Classes in the Czech Language Teaching Methodology for Primary School

The thesis focuses on word classes in the Czech language teaching methodology for primary school. The thesis consists of two parts - the theoretical one and the practical one. The theoretical part explains the concept and meaning of word classes and introduces methods facilitating the acquisition of word classes by younger students. It also highlights possible difficulties associated with teaching this topic. The practical part analyses several sets of primary school textbooks and describes the most frequent difficulties teachers encounter while teaching word classes. At the end there are several recommendations and suggestions which may facilitate the learning of word classes by children.
Practical use of Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary School

The theme of this diploma thesis is Practical use of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary Schools. The main purpose is to chart current status of a theme of botanical garden in curricular documents, namely The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and School Educational Programmes of chosen elementary schools located in Prague 2. Further, the presence of this theme is explored in the sample of schoolbooks for the 4th and the 5th grades of elementary schools. There is a questionnaire survey realized among teachers of the 4th and the 5th grades in the schools listed above. The aim is to find out, how much the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague is used for practical education. The results are shown in charts and graphs. The readiness of this botanical garden for practical education of lower grades pupils is found out by an interview with its vice-director. The next part of thesis contains planning and realizing a lesson with the 5th grade pupils. The lesson demonstrates a possibility of more frequent practical education in the botanical garden. Games and game's activities in the teaching morphology at the first grade of primary school

RESUMÉ V ANGLICKÉM JAZYCE The diploma thesis is focused on parts of speech in the Czech language in the lower primary school. Its aim is to chart it on the general level, to introduce their definition, their historical background and the selection into the word-classes. The theoretical section introduces the parts of speech as the common part of the language. It describes them on basis of the syntactic, semantic and morphological division. That is needed for concrete introduction and realisation of the individual parts of speech. For each word class there is also briefly showed how they are presented in contemporary Czech language textbooks for the lower primary school. The practical part focuses on introduction of new methods of teaching parts of speech mainly through games and unconventional tools. The games contain rules, time management, tools and number of pupils involved. Furthermore., there are the interviews with the teachers of the concrete lower primary school who had got to test the games and tools and summarizes their opinions. PROFILE OF BEGINNING TEACHER OF PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS

The diploma thesis, entitled The Profile of a Novice Primary School Teacher, deals with the issue of young teachers starting their teaching practice. The aim of the thesis is to explore how contemporary novice teachers carry out their work, how they percieve it and to what extent they have been prepared for it by their studies. Another aim of the thesis is to compile a profile of a novice teacher which reflects the professional standard of a teacher with a diploma from a faculty of education and practice of one, two, or three years.
