Family and school cooperation

The diploma thesis deals with the mutual cooperation of the family and the special elementary school. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I deal with family and school cooperation, defining the concept of family, its functions and duties. The second chapter of this part consists of education of pupils with mental retardation. Here I'm going to explain the term of mental retardation, the causes of its origin, the dividing and the characteristics of the special elementary school. The last chapter of the theoretical part presents the model of the school holding the "Parents welcome" certificate. In the practical part I deal with specific research of family cooperation and special elementary school in Čáslav. The research is conducted through questionnaires and interviews. Also, I compare the requirements for awarding the "Parents welcome" brand to the forms of collaboration of a particular school. I'll find out if the Special School in Čáslav meets these criteria. Class teacher and the selection of teachers at this position in the primary school

This thesis presents criteria in selecting an appropriate candidate for position of a class teacher at basic school, basing on performed analysis of different information sources. There's examined knowledge of a school class, potential of class teacher's operational and organizational meetings with his class, leading of parent's evenings and mission of a class teacher at recent basic school. Within school management it offers a detailed professiography of work of a class teacher determined with its legal definition, available professional literature and first of all with analysis of information acquired in interviews with five persons personally involved in these issues - school director, school psychologist, long experienced class teacher, mother of a ninth class student and a student of a ninth class at basic school. The class teacher's work is explored either from viewpoint of conditions for his work as also from viewpoint of his professional and personal competences. These criteria of selecting an appropriate candidate may further be used in common practice of a basic school director within making his decision on right person for this responsible task.
Influence of school climate to the teacher and pupils at primary school

The thesis in the theoretical part with factors and phenomena that affect the school climate, the climate in the staff and classroom in relation to the teacher's personality, professional competences, motivation and self - esteem in a profession. I tis interested in teacher's satisfaction and its impact on teacher's interact with students and colleagues. The approaches to studying climate are collected at the end of the theoretical part. The practical part presents research based on observation describes the atmosphere of the school, which is an important indicator of school climate. The factors are analyzed here that affect the educational and pedagogical work of teachers and their satisfaction in working life. Stress indicators influencing children at school

Diploma thesis follows stress factors impact on a child at primary school, on his health and mental conditions and then the implication of the learning process and integrating the child into a children's collective. The theoretical part contains information dealing with forms of stress in general, potential stressors for the child, the consequences of stress on the human organism. The practical part investigates the experiences with stress factors of pupils that are somehow connected with their school life. As a result of the diploma thesis is to share basic advices for teachers on how to prevent stress at school and their pupils and how to work with the stressed child. key words: stress of children, education, school climate
Family and school cooperation

The bases of this diploma thesis are a family and school cooperation, means of cooperation and ways leading to a cooperation improvement. The submitted work deals with theoretical aspects of the family and school co- operation and a report from a practical investigation on this subject executed at the primary school follows. The research is based on the exploring method of an interview (i.a. via web pages created by myself) for current and future teachers at primary schools and for parents. The work focuses on upgrading and reengineering of communication forms be- tween schools and parents. The parent is considered as a "consumer , a "partner or a "citizen . This point of view is based on the empirical research of the family and school cooperation by Milada Rabušicová and Milan Pol. This research has been executed at the primary schools in Brno. Next, the models of family and school partnerships in accordance with Birte Ravnová are also introduced. A definition of terms: a family (by several experts), a function of family and type of family (in accordance with so-called a "Functionality of family questionnaire ) is introduced. Next terms as: a school and social atmosphere, a school environment, a positive school atmosphere (and its important character in compliance with Helena Grecmanová) are also presented....
Adolescents Opinions and Attitudes of Selected Area of Risky Behaviour

This Thesis entitled "The opinions and attitudes of adolescents on a selected area of risk behavior" has been written as a description of aggression and bullying. The basic concepts are defined and important theories of risk behavior are described, also the possibility of solution of problems with behavior is described here. Aggressiveness and aggression, the causes and the solving of aggression that all contains risk behavior. A significant part of this thesis is devoted to bullying. The practical part of thesis is based on a quantitative survey, which determines the view of students of Secondary school for teaching, hotels and services in Litomerice on the topic of bullying and aggression in behavior. In conclusion are presented the results of the survey.
How the quality of school culture influences the integration of children with ADHD in the classroom

ABSTRACT How the quality of school culture influences the integration of children with ADHD in the classroom Key words: ADHD, teaching assistant, integration, school culture, culture in the classroom, school climate The theoretical part of this thesis describes the basic terms and definitions that are crucial for the practical part of the work, namely general information about syndrome ADHD, terminology, causes of ADHD syndrome, its diagnosis, etc. Afterwards, the attention is paid to the education of students with ADHD syndrome: the general principles of education, legislative framework, but also the integration of pupils and their advantages and disadvantages are mentioned. Forth chapter deals with school culture and school climate and their connections. The practical part describes a case study: the integration of a female pupil, diagnosed with ADHD, who the author of the thesis for a school year 20132014 worked with. The case study paid attention on school education and teachers' attitudes towards the pupil. Methods of teaching and pupil integration into the classroom are described and discussed, mentioned are also care options. The case study is supplemented with a descriptive analysis of the culture of the school to which the pupil was integrated.
