Processing Czech in Python

This bachorelor´s thesis presents some ways of Czech language processing. The first part contains a general destription of NLTK system. Some of aftermentioned functions were inspired by NLTK functions. There are described functions which attend to inflection and inflexion of various words class in Czech language. Next part is focused on processing of the text in Czech language in which are found and marked each sentences and other parts. Last part describes possibillity of tranformations rules application for each part of text. Results after rules application could be represented graphically.

Phonetic transcription of Czech

The goal is to create an application for automatic transcription of Czech language into a phonetic form. The first chapter of this thesis describes the basic phonetic units, alphabets and symbols, that phonetic alphabet uses. The second chapter describes in detail the rules of phonetic transcription of Czech language, including specific examples. Finally, in the third chapter is a description of the application created in C programming language, including flowcharts for better orientation in its functions.

Czech language teaching materials for pupils with hearing impairment and Czech language teaching materials for pupils of the second level of primary school (Fraus publishing house)

The bachelor thesis is focused on evaluation, particularly of printed educational materials, for teaching the Czech language - grammar textbooks on the lower secondary school level, intended for pupils with hearing impairment and for pupils of the mainstream education. The theoretical part contains enumeration and characteristic of particular types of educational materials; and also the factors that influence their selection. Based on the study of professional literature, it observes the development and specifics of educational materials of the Czech language for students with hearing impairment. The thesis further summarizes general knowledge related to the education of deaf pupils and briefly describes the acquisition and teaching of the Czech language in these pupils. In addition, the theoretical part includes a list of Czech publishers that publish teaching materials of the Czech language for pupils with hearing impairment, and a summary of publishers publishing teaching materials of the Czech language intended for pupils in the mainstream education. Special educational methods at the 2nd elementary school in the subject Czech language

The diploma thesis deals with students with specially educational needs at the second level of elemantary school in the subject Czech language. The focus is mainly on what support is being given to students by the school, the school counselling centre and teachers who teach the Czech language. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The author explains the concept of a pupil with specially educational needs, describing the system of care and support for these students. Due to the second field studied by the author, the work focuses on the special needs of students in the subject czech language and literature. Particular attention is paid to students with specific learning disabilities, in particular dyslexia, dysgraphy and dysortography. The thesis also mentions the reduction of mentioned specific learning disabilities. The projected outcome should be to map the intervention and support that students receive at a mainstream elementary school in the teaching of the Czech language as well as within the subject of a specially pedagogical intervention. Integration of humanities in a specific school practice

The thesis deals with a specific case of connecting humanities (Czech language, history, geography and civics) at Pražské humanitní gymnázium. Using selected theoretical literature and a specific (auto)ethnographic probe in the named institution, it analyzes the teaching from the point of view of the school educational program and its continuity with RVP, on a more detailed level also from the point of view of the thematic plan and its implementation. The thesis also includes a description of the evaluation of this subject. The goal of the thesis is to find out if this connection is functional based on the experiences of teachers and students. Complement - The Comparison of Academic and School Conception

The master thesis "Complement - The Comparison of Academic and School Conception" examines the professional and school concepts of the often-discussed clause element - complement. The author compares selected linguistic approaches to the complement, focusing primarily on the similarities and differences in the different conceptions - what linguists (dis)consider to be a complement, how the complement is realized, what is the division of the complement. In the school conception, the author analyses the key educational documents (the Framework Educational Programmes, the requirements for the didactic test in Czech language, the requirements for the Unified Entrance Examination in Czech language and the textbooks used in teaching Czech) and the teachers' view of this clause element. The author aims to find out whether the complement is a compulsory part of education and whether textbooks provide appropriate support for functional work with the complement. In the conclusion of the paper, the author proposes three methodological lessons of his own, based on the above-mentioned analysis, which can be used in Czech language classes. Possibilities of integrating Art Education with the Czech Language and Literature Education

The thesis deals with the possibilities of integrating art education and Czech language and literature education. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part both subjects are introduced. The chapters devoted to art education deal with the factors that may influence its position in Czech schools. These chapters also deal with the main areas that art education is focused on (fine arts and visual culture) and with the didactic approaches that can be applied in art education. The chapters about Czech language and literature education describe its three components (language education, literature education and communication and style education) and relate them to the content of art education. In the first section of the practical part of this thesis, specific school activities of an interdisciplinary nature are proposed. Also, general principles are suggested on the basis of which a teaching unit integrating art education with Czech language and literature education can be built. In the second section, a plan for a teaching unit on the topic of illustration is presented, followed by a record of two implementations of the planned teaching unit, in which pedagogical action research was carried out to improve and streamline future teaching.
