Competances beginning teachers at primary school to individualize teaching

This Thesis is focused on beginning teachers as absolvents of Charles University Faculty of Education with experience at most three years. There is explained what competences teachers have to individualize lessons at Primary school. This topic is very popular these days and doesn't cover only children with specific needs or children who are gifted, but it includes all pupils. This thesis tries to map this current situation with eight chosen teachers who respond to our requairments. The Teoretic part is divided into five chapters, which describe professional quality of teacher with deep focusing on personal characteristic, the term a beginning teacher and his most frequent problems. Next chapter is focused on pedagogical competences. Subchapters are conected with deep analyzation of teacher's competances to individualize his lessons and introduse some tendences in current preparatory education of teachers at primary schools. In penultimate chapter there is deeper describtion of preparatory education of teacher at primary school and personality. The main goal of this thesis is to familiarize the reader with the inclusion of the gifted child into the classroom collective. The theoretical part focuses on the identification of gifted children, their behavior among peers and role in groups. Furthermore, the roles of the teacher, his education and ways of working with gifted. The practical part is engaged in the exploration, how teacher work in teams with gifted children, at 1st grade of elementary school.
Innovative Potential of Private Elementary Schools

This diploma thesis deals with the innovation potential of private primary schools in the Czech Republic. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the author discusses the current education system with an emphasis on the functioning of private primary schools and their possible involvement in the process of inclusive education and outlines the specifics leading to the improvement of the educational process. The practical part was based on a sample of four private primary schools. On the basis of semi-structured interviews, analyses of the annual and inspection reports and personal observations the author concluded that the schools are able to offer a more personalized approach to the learners; are able to create a family atmosphere; and are able to involve parents in the educational process of their children. The learners of the examined schools, even the ones with special needs, achieve excellent results in the system of education. Specifics of the Church grammar schools in the Czech Republic

TITLE: Specifics of the Church grammar schools in the Czech Republic AUTHOR: Bc. Jan Pech DEPARTMENT: School Management Center SUPERVISOR: Mgr. et. Bc. Jiří Trunda ABSTRACT: The churches and religious denominations can become school and school facility founders. What are the specifics of the church schools from the management of education point of view, which this work deals with? And do these specifics actually exist? Do the tangible differences that clearly specify the church school against the school founded by the municipality, region or the union of municipalities exist? We will focus on the church grammar schools. There are twenty such grammar schools in the Czech Republic and almost all of them, were founded by the Roman Catholic Church. These institutions create a specific, not large group of schools that in addition to efforts to provide high-quality education strive for transfer of religious values. The work looks into the historical development of the church schools and describes their actual position in the regional education system. Then, using the qualitative research method - the analysis of the materials, it deals with the issues of the church schools management and capturing their specifics. Cooperation between teacher and parents at the beginning of the school attendance

This diploma thesis deals with forms of cooperation between family - school, their meaning at the beginning of the school attendance, the benefit of the individualization of the child's needs and the educational progress. Action research seeking to answer the question under what conditions the cooperation with parents has a positive impact on the learning progress of the child and in the individual case reports we describe the effective forms of the cooperation which contribute to the principle of the individualization in the education of children. Other methods in the context of the action research are: interview, e-mail correspondence, observation, recording, tripartite meetings, performances, evaluation. During our research we managed to establish cooperation with all parents of the pupils of the language course and also individualize their needs with regard to their cognitive abilities and home background. We have found that the parents are willing to cooperate if the teacher is able to create conditions for that not only at school but also whether he or she can choose appropriate strategies and forms of cooperation with regard to domestic conditions of the pupil. Exploit of the teachers' potentiality in the development of the school

The work deals with problems of the personal activities of the school management. It engages in different manners of the monitoring teachers'qualifications provided by the head- master, further on it deals with methods of registration of the qualificational level and implementation possibilities of the teacher's personal development plan which is based on the identificational potenciality in the process of the development of the primary school. The autor delimitates the term qualification, characterizes the qualifying model and gives examples of the teacher's qualificational models, sketches possibilities of the identification teacher's qualifications and an evaluation of their level by the head-master, as well.The author aims on characterization of the potentiality and consequently on teacher's potentiality. In connection with the development of the school she outlines the plan of the teacher's personal development. The method of the management based on qualifications is given as the example. The author concludes own research from given theoretical pieces of knowledge. Based on the questionnaire research she compares manners of monitoring teachers'qualifications by head - masters and finds out as these qualifications are exploited in the development of the school.
Position of preparatory classes in the Czech system of education

The focus of the presented bachelor thesis is the position of preparatory classes in the Czech system of education. The thesis also tries to answer whether the aim of the existing preparatory classes is in accordance with their legislative anchoring in the Education Act. The work primarily focuses on preparatory classes in the view of their organizational incorporation into the system of education of the Czech Republic with respect to meeting the objectives and outcomes of education. It offers an outline of historical development of preparatory classes in the Czech Republic and a survey of foreign systems of education, all this with the intention of comparing what measures are taken in different countries to prepare children for compulsory education. The main objective of the work is to offer insight into existing preparatory classes and into their role in the Czech system of education. This is based on a survey among stakeholders responsible for the form of these preparatory classes - school administration, establisher of the school, parents of pre-school children attending these classes. Education of a School Headmaster - Comparison of the Czech Republic, Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia

The aim of this work is to answer the following question: ‚Is it possible to compare qualification training and forms of further training of headmasters in different countries?' The author of this thesis deals with headmaster training in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany (Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia). He obtained information about education systems and education opportunities in these countries through selected research methods which were a questionnaire and interviews with school headmasters. The need for proper managerial qualification of headmasters necessary for them to meet requirements for discharge of the function is proved by the fact that today headmasters have to cope with demands made on their competency readiness which they can receive through good specialized training. The information obtained can be used as a pattern or methodical recommendations because in every country the managerial education follows different qualifying models.
