Jiří Trunda ABSTRAKT: Církve a náboženské společnosti mohou být zřizovateli škol a školských zařízení. Jaká jsou specifika církevních škol z pohledu managementu vzdělávání, kterými se tato práce zabývá, a existují vůbec? Existují hmatatelné odlišnosti, které jasně vymezují církevní školu od školy, kterou zřídila obec, kraj nebo svazek obcí? Školy, na které se zaměříme, jsou církevní gymnázia. V České republice je těchto gymnázií celkem 20 a téměř všechna zřídila římskokatolická církev. Tyto instituce vytvářejí specifickou, málo početnou skupinu škol, které vedle snahy o poskytování kvalitního vzdělání usilují o předávání duchovní hodnot. Práce nahlíží do historického vývoje církevních škol a popisuje jejich současné postavení v systému regionálního školství. Dále se metodou kvalitativního výzkumu - analýzou materiálů - věnuje otázkám managementu církevních škol a zachycení jejich specifik. What are the specifics of the church schools from the management of education point of view, which this work deals with? And do these specifics actually exist? Do the tangible differences that clearly specify the church school against the school founded by the municipality, region or the union of municipalities exist? We will focus on the church grammar schools. There are twenty such grammar schools in the Czech Republic and almost all of them, were founded by the Roman Catholic Church. These institutions create a specific, not large group of schools that in addition to efforts to provide high-quality education strive for transfer of religious values. The work looks into the historical development of the church schools and describes their actual position in the regional education system. Then, using the qualitative research method - the analysis of the materials, it deals with the issues of the church schools management and capturing their specifics.
