Novák, Marek ; Skřejpek, Michal (advisor) ; Šejdl, Jan (referee)
63 Acquisition and Protection of Possession in Roman Law The purpose of the thesis is to analyse and describe acquisition and protection of possession in Roman Law in detail. Both aspects are closely related and it is appropriate to examine them together. Regulation of acquisition of possession would not be necessary if possession was not protected, protection of possession would be indeterminate if there was not any rules in relation to its acquisition. Description of Roman Law regulation is supported by authentic texts, especially the Corpus Iuris Civilis, the body of law issued under emperor Justinian. The thesis is composed of two fundamental chapters. The first chapter consists of four parts and focuses on acquisition of possession in Roman Law. Firstly, it deals with classification of acquisition of possession as the control intentionally exercised toward a thing, especially the division on occupation and tradition of possession. Then, description of acquisition through an agent according to Roman law follows as well as cases of legal disability to manifest the intention to acquire possession. The second chapter is composed of three parts and deals with protection of possession in Roman Law. It examines the origin of possession and its historical roots, especially interdicts used in relation to public...

Novák, Marek ; Šimsa, Martin (advisor) ; Franěk, Jakub (referee)
The subject of this thesis is the description of two current normative models of democracy which were created by John Rawls and Jürgen Habermas. The aim of this thesis is to describe the most important ideas of these authors presented in their major works, compare them with each other and then highlight some similarities and differences. I will focus on their vision for western democratic societies and international dimension of their theories. I will focus on methodology as well. The question I would like to answer is: to which extend could be these theories of democracy considered as the theories of liberal democracy? First I will deal with John Rawls's approach. In A Theory of Justice he introduced interesting idea of the social contract restoration and the establishment of two principles of justice in the original position. This work can be read as defence of human rights. Next I will focus on Political Liberalism. In Political liberalism Rawls is interested in securing human and civic rights for members of modern pluralist democracies. He is introducing here the idea of an overlapping consensus. This idea should maintain the stability of a system. The Law of Peoples is the attempt to bring his theory to international level. Next I will move to Jürgen Habermas. I will mention his early works -...

Marketing strategy for the use of sports facilities in Psychiatric Institution Bohnice
Novák, Marek ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Voráček, Josef (referee)
The thesis examines a suitable marketing strategy to use sporting venues located at the Psychiatric Institute of Bohnice that is ranked among the best in the Czech Republic in terms of size, provided and progressive services. Among the main priorities of the Bohnice institute management headed by MUDr. Martin Hollý is organising events for general public and thus contributing to popularise the institute premise. The aim is to destigmatise mental disorders and to change the view on psychiatry as a medical specialisation. Interconnecting life "behind the fence" with life "outside" helps to integrate mentally ill people from the institute back into a normal life. One of the examples is the use of sporting facilities by general public. The objective of the thesis is to propose possible measures and methods leading to the improved use of sporting venues mainly for general public, which will directly result in meeting the afore mentioned aim of the institute management. Key words: Marketing strategy, marketing mix, public relations, sporting venues, advertising, Psychiatric Institute of Bohnice.
