Deserving Equality: Roma and the Social System of Social Welfare in Skala

Although there are analyses of Roma and their economic practices, there is no analytical interest in gaining social benefits as an economic practice. The topic is still in the hand of economic and political science and their view of claimants for social benefits that goes hand in hand with common sensual understanding of them. According to this vision the system of social welfare is just a generous technical system of distribution of money, which is misused by certain claimants. Following Howe (1990) I see welfare system as culturally mediated distribution of money that in fact, shapes the understanding of persons who enter the exchange. I analyze the ways Roma women negotiate benefits and the logic with which they enter different social arenas and struggle for recognition as humans without being recognized as Gypsy. Therefore, I analyse how notion of humanity intersects with deservingness and gypsyness.

An impact of Vojta reflex locomotion on patients with multiple sclerosis

Vojta reflex locomotion works on the strength of rediscovery of locomotive patterns. In this study, we investigated influence of Vojta's method to the clinical condition of patients with multiple sclerosis cerebrospinalis. There were five patients with multiple sclerosis which underwent two months Vojta reflex locomotion rehabilitation. We found out that Vojta reflex locomotion has positive influence to relief spasticity on the upper and lower extremities. The spasticity improves at all patients on average on 12, 3 %. Except improve of the spasticity, is also noticeable the increase of muscle strength (around 8 %). In the other clinical symptoms weren't found any considerable improvement in comparison with the primary condition before rehabilitation.

V následujících letech by eskou republiku v tomto sm ru m la ekat velká zm na, která bude spojena nejen se zavád ním nových institut úrazového pojišt ní, ale i s finan ními náklady. Systémy úrazového pojišt ní zam stnanc nalezneme ve v tšin vysp lých evropských zemí. Fungují zde dlouhou dobu, bez v tších zm n a ot es . Na našem území došlo po roce 1948 k p erušení kontinuálního vývoje v oblasti sociálního pojišt ní a navazovat po tak dlouhé dob na tradice v oblasti úrazového pojišt ní bude jist velmi náro ným úkolem. První krok tímto sm rem byl u in n v roce 2006 v podob vydání zákona o úrazovém pojišt ní. Druhým krokem bude pak p enesení tohoto právního p edpisu do praktického života. Odp rci zákona o úrazovém ešení mohou namítat jeho rozpornost, nekoncep nost a nejasnost, jak se m žeme do íst i v d vodových zprávách. Generational Shift in the Educational Attitude to Children of a Pre-School Age at the Beginning of the 21st century

Tématem této práce je generační posun ve výchovných postojích k dětem předškolního věku na počátku 21. století. Záměrem autorky je zjistit, jaké postupy generace dnešních matek a babiček uplatňují při výchově dítěte předškolního věku a zda v těchto postojích nastal posun od autoritativnosti k demokratičnosti až liberálnosti. Autorka tento posun posuzuje ve třech dimenzích: citová vřelost - citový odstup, autoritativnost - permisivnost, důslednost - nedůslednost. Zabývá se také výchovnými prostředky - odměnou a trestem. Dále zkoumá, jakým způsobem dnešní předškolní dítě tráví svůj volný čas a jakou měrou se na něm podílí interakce s rodiči. Information resources of film studies area accessible on WWW

Tématem práce je zmapování informačních zdrojů v oboru filmová věda v prostředí WWW. Cílem práce je analýza a hodnocení jednotlivých tipů těchto zdrojů, a to především těch, které jsou dostupné v českém, slovenském a anglickém jazyce. Jednotlivé zdroje jsou hodnoceny z hlediska funkčnosti, struktury zdroje a záznamu filmů a osob. Hlavní pozornost je zaměřena na čtveřici nejužitečnějších zdrojů z pohledu autora práce, tedy Internetovou filmovou databázi (http://www.imdb.com), Filmové databáze online, Česko-Slovenskou filmovou databázi (http://www.csfd.cz) a Mezinárodní databázi filmových archivů FIAF. Tyto informační zdroje pak jsou detailně popsány. Práce se dále věnuje menším informačním zdrojům, které jsou unikátní zejména díky svému užšímu zaměření a mapují různé geografické oblasti světa, popřípadě různé žánry a přinášejí aktuální zprávy ze světa filmu. Výsledek práce ukazuje, že kvalitních zdrojů v prostředí WWW je velmi mnoho, proto se autor práce pokouší tyto zdroje roztřídit a vyhodnotit jejich účelnost.

Movie as a medium. The moving pictures as a key to transcendental perception

Předmětem mé diplomové práce je zkoumání filmu jako specifického media, jemuž je přisuzována možnost navodit v určitých případech až nadsmyslové vnímání. Cílem mého výzkumu je popsat na základě dobových teorií a reflexí výzkumu např. tzv. paobrazu, hypnózy a podobných fenoménů tento význačný aspekt filmu (tj. možný přesun do jiné roviny vnímání), který bývá v současných přístupech opomíjen. Svoji práci záměrně vymezuji přelomem 19. a 20. století (byť s dalšími širšími aktualizačními přesahy), dobou formování moderního diváctví a hledání souvislostí mezi fotografií/filmem a možnostmi nadsmyslového vnímání a zároveň výzkumy podvědomí. Na základě reflexí v dobové okultní literatuře, znovu se vynořujících zpráv o výzkumech funkce oka, soudobých přednášek o hypnóze, dobové beletrie, spiritistických protokolů apod., a za použití metod vycházejících z tzv. nové filmové historie práce směřuje k rozkrytí filmových kódů a postupů, které automaticky dokáží navodit v divákovi stavy rozšířeného či změněného vědomí. Tyto aspekty jsou často dobově významně reflektovány ve svém manipulačním potenciálu (viz expresionistické filmy s motivem somnambulismu, popř. Czech perception of Claudel's Break of Noon

The master's thesis focuses on a translatological analysis of the original text and two available translations of the Break of Noon, a play written by a significant French playwright and diplomat Paul Claudel. Miloš Marten was the first to translate the play into Czech in 1910. The second translation was done by Vladimír Mikeš and was published in 2012. Given the time span of more than a hundred years between the translations, it is not only interesting to compare them linguistically but also to make a comparison of their reception. Therefore, the thesis deals with the reception of the texts and its development over time. The thesis defines Paul Claudel's place in French culture in the past and today and how its play is perceived in the Czech context. The thesis studies the position of the first translation in the time of its publishing and right after it. The thesis seeks to determine the reasons for the second translation to be commissioned and assess the position of the new text in the target culture. To determine the position of the translations in the Czech context and their potential effect on the culture, the thesis uses the polysystem theory which seems to be the most convenient tool as it studies to what extent translation literature affects domestic literature.

Clinic for infectious diseases

In this thesis, we address the petition of new infectious clinic at the documentation for construction. Location the building is designed in the northern outskirts of Šumperk. The building is an irregular shape with 3 storeys with 1 basement. Developed building area is 1180,08 m2. The building is a movement divided into three parts, and to: object A- communication area for meals, object B- children's department, object C- building department for adults. The supporting structure is made of masonry materials. Ventilated facade to the building is from the outside, lined with stone lining- slate / wood lining- Siberian larch. Draft internal layout reflects the requirements of standards for hospital then submitted demands to avoid danger to persons health due to the occurrence of infectious diseases. The thesis also includes two special projects: Design of reinforced concrete slabs petition air conditioning. Projects are handled over selected parts of the Clinic of Infectious Diseases.

Evaluation of treatment efficiency of selected constructed wetlands

Constructed wetlands represent a suitable alternative for wastewater treatment nowadays. They are irreplaceable in Czech Republic as well as worldwide. Initially, they were not accepted unanimously by the water authorities due to the simple technological design.
In this Bachelor thesis, the main types constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment, their general principle of cleaning and suitable wetland vegetation are described. Also, the main components of pollution in the waste water are evaluated in the thesis. The thesis provides an evaluation of treatment performance of five constructed wetlands, namely Spálené Poříčí, Olší nad Oslavou, Rudíkov, Osová Bitýška and Křoví. This thesis is focused on the evaluation of the long-term treatment efficiency in terms of BOD5, COD, suspended solids, ammonia nitrogen and phosphorus. The most results show a very good level of wastewater treatment of surveyed constructed wetlands.

The influence of number of visitors on water quality in a public natural swimming pool

Abstract The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the habitat, plants that provide clean water, as well as the revitalization of the area devoted to the description of the former wastewater treatment plant in the cadastral Radotín and the legislation subject to the available sources. The practical part describes the operation of the habitat, comparing the number of visitors to the habitat quality of water. In this thesis we evaluate the results of laboratory tests which were evaluated by decree limits no. 238/2011 Sb., on the hygienic requirements for swimming pools, saunas and hygiene limits of sand in sandboxes outdoor playgrounds.
