Intercompany mentoring

The diploma thesis is dedicated to the intercompany mentoring issue, its thorough description and specific practical application in the company. The objectives are to define the intercompany mentoring as a new form of corporate learning, to analyze it in detail and to assess its benefits to the certain company. Its strengths / weaknesses and the possible opportunities and threats are found in the theoretical part via SWOT analysis. The assessment of intercompany mentoring is based on the interviews with mentors, mentees and last but not least with mentees' superiors. These semi-structured interviews are focused on finding of the strengths / weaknesses and the opportunities or threats. It means that the SWOT analysis is used also in the practical part of the thesis. The output of the thesis is the final resume and my personal improvement proposals. The results of the thesis can help those companies that are looking for new ways to develop their employees or which are hesitating to participate in the intercompany mentoring. Competencies of a lecturer using activation methods in adult education

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on the definition of lecturers' competences in adult education that uses a participative style of teaching. The current state of professionalization of lecturers in the Czech Republic will be explored alongside the definition of lecturer using activation methods in adult education and lecturer's competences within this thesis. The basic description of the commonly used activation teaching methods and the high teaching requirements of these methods will also be illustrated. Finally, this thesis introduces the competence model using the activation methods in adult education with a possible schema of the model usage in the real world. CSR: Factors of Social Responsibility in Human Resources Management within an organization

4 ABSTRACT This bachelor thesis focuses on the corporate social responsibility from the perspective of the human resources management. The thesis introduces the concept of corporate social responsibility, describes evolution of this concept and summarizes its main characteristics. In the context of current and expected development the thesis emphasizes the connection between the corporate social responsibility and human resources management, considers the role of human resources professionals and line managers in applying responsible practices in HR and suggests possible ways of integrating the corporate social responsibility values in human resources management practice. It also outlines the process of implementing the corporate social responsibility within an organization and ways of evaluating associated benefits. A comparison between Malcolm Knowles` and Jack Mezirow`s theories of adult learning

The aim of this bachelor thesis comprise of a presentation and a comparison between Malcolm Knowles's theory of Andragogy and the Transformative learning theory of Jack Mezirow. Both theories are very popular in the USA, but there is not a sufficient attention dedicated to them in the Czech literature. The comparison is built on the basis of three criterions. The fisrt criterion includes inspirational sources of the authors, the second criterion takes into consideration the conception of the adult educator and finaly the conception of the learner constitutes the third criterion. Transformation of headmaster's role in the process of fusion of elementary schools with preschools

The topic of the thesis is a change of a role of headmaster in the process of merging basic schools and kindergartens. The aim of the thesis is to describe the role of the headmaster and the means by which he executes managerial activities before and after the merger. The theoretical part characterises managerial roles and defines the headmaster as a manager, a leader and an executive. It states managerial functions, or more precisely, activities, which the headmaster uses for successful accomplishment of his managerial work. The aim of the thesis is verified in the empirical part, which describes three case studies that were carried out with headmasters of basic schools who had already undergone the process of merging a basic school with a kindergarten. The main focus of the work is to describe how the role of the headmaster has changed, and whether the means of executing of managerial roles have been changed after the merger. The thesis could serve as supporting material for not only the directors who are in the process of merging, but also for the part of the public interested in this issue.
Evaluation of trends in open education with focus on massive open online courses

Mass Open Online Courses have been a phenomenon in education in the past few years. Although their popularity is globaly on the rise, it is not yet clear how sustainable MOOCs really are in the long run. Lack of academic texts and non- existing set of guidelines for the design and implementation of effective and successful MOOCs is one of today's problems. The aim of this paper is to create such criteria that can assess the MOOC quality and success, and subsequently assess current MOOC approach and effectivity as well as outline steps to increase their efficacy. In the paper, I present a novel analysis method of potential MOOC efficacy indicators. Then, based on created criteria, I define the importance of lector's active role in the course, the need for clear formulation and communication of rules, goals and expectations, and the significance of setting high course standards. At the end, I suggest ways of utilizing this thesis for further research.
The Specification of Lecturers in the Leisure Adult Education - Guides at the Historical Monuments

This bachelor thesis approaches guides at historical monuments as the lecturers of leisure adult education. It begins with characterizing leisure education in the context of andragogy and in the life of an adult, then shifts to the issue of lecturers in the leisure adult education. The thesis indicates lecturer's roles and requirements posed on them, outlines opportunities for their progress and professionalization, and summarize basic competencies and characteristics of lecturers in the leisure education and adult education in general as well. For this thesis is fundamental the guide activities at historical monuments (from the leisure adult educator's position). Through the outcomes of questionnaire survey, it shows the guide's characteristics from three viewpoints, it clarifies the contemporary situation of the guide's education and attitudes of guides and their supervisors to possible further education in terms of the guide's job.
