Growth opportunities and financing of renewable energy in Germany and Czech Republic
Tyuleubekov, Sabyrzhan ; Janda, Karel (advisor) ; Chytilová, Julie (referee)
According to Directive 2009/28/EC overall share of RES in EU energy consumption must be 20% and 10% in transport consumption. The 2020 target for Germany is 18% and for the Czech Republic is 13%. The major financial supporting schemes in the Czech Republic and Germany include feed-in tariffs and green bonuses. Likewise, we propose some ways to resolve some flaws of RES, such as intermittency character of RES, free-rider problem in case of quota obligations scheme etc. Though European Commission approved the shift from FIT scheme towards auction scheme, we analyse the dependence between FITs and installed capacities of RES. As a result of this analysis we obtained optimum intervals of FITs for some types of RES. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Energetic utilisation of biomass - controversial environmental topic
Zumrová, Kateřina ; Matějček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bartoš, Jan (referee)
The thesis is focused on energetic utilisation of biomass. It was used a qualitative research and document analysis of articles. The first part deals with the theoretical framework, therefore definitions and possibilities of biomass utilisation. The second part contains methodology, follows research and its evaluation. The first aim of this thesis is to summarize the utilisation of biomass as renewable energy and to distinguish positive and negative impacts of the utilisation of this source and evaluate its economic efficiency. There are several possibilities of utilisation of biomass, but it is necessary to select the suitable process and its utilisation. Based on the large number of examples from life it can be stated that it is economically efficient. The second aim is to identify main misconceptions related to utilisation of biomass. The main misconception is comparing the utilisation of solar energy, which has not left positive attitude of people to renewable energy, with utilisation of biomass. There are few examples of comparing photovoltaic with utilisation of biomass on the same level. In regard of the basic principles of utilisation of biomass, those two sources cannot be compared at all, they are not similar. Another misconception is apprehension of appropriation of land used for growing energy...
Alternative and renewable energy policy in Europe
Orujov, Faig ; Ščasný, Milan (advisor) ; Střítecký, Vít (referee)
Driven by the fact that the global oil market has become extremely volatile and the EU dependence on oil continues to grow, this paper argues that with more emphasis on renewable energy and by using domestically produced alternative energy sources instead of importing foreign oil the EU Member States would drastically improve their energy security and energy independence. The study investigates both past and present trends in the EU energy sources supply and consumption patterns. Additionally, the paper considers possibilities of the renewable and alternative energy both at the current stage and future development of this sector in the EU. The research findings confirm the initial hypothesis as to whether the share of alternative and renewable energy will be sufficiently large to contribute to solving a problem of the EU energy security and independency. The role of the renewables in national energy security strategies of three EU Member States is studied and government supporting policies that enhance renewable sources development are analyzed.
Electric boiler connection in heat plant for providing ancillary services
Ditrych, Marek ; Příhoda, Martin (referee) ; Wasserbauer, Vojtěch (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with using the electric boiler for extension ancillary services in heating plant. The system and support services are described in the thesis, because the ancillary services regulate an energy deflection. The system and ancillary services are described in the thesis. Thanks to these services an energy deflection is regulated. The thesis describes different types of electric boilers and there functions. In the thesis is shown the possible solution of using an electric boiler in heating plant Opatovice. The cable conduction is designed for a power of electric boiler. For this reason, there is calculated the equivalent warming short-circuit current close to the electric boiler.
Design of industrial boiler with cogeneration
Mička, Radek ; Tvarůžek, Martin (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the industrial boiler for biomass, Which deals with the issue of the energy future of combustion of fuels using current power generation - microcogeneration, designed for larger houses or smaller com- panies. The shape of the device is the interconnection of individual functional and technological parts of the boiler, a view of a new product that re ects its function. It uses modern and timeless materials, color and control technology to achieve overall comfort and time savings and service.
Forecasting models of solar powerplants and wind farms production based on numerical weather prediction models
Farda, Aleš ; Štěpánek, Petr ; Zahradníček, Pavel ; Rajdl, Kamil ; Meitner, Jan
Performance and potential of daily based forecasts of renewable energy sources power production have been investigated for the Czech Republic. The role of individual numerical weather prediction model errors has been researched and ensemble based technique has been studied as the mean to obtain more precise and reliable results providing a benefit for end users.\n\n
The nuclear power in Japan and selected european countries
Galková, Alžbeta ; Müller, Štěpán (advisor) ; Čajka, Radek (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of nuclear energy. Within thesis we focus on attitude of Germany, Japan, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. We assess their energy policy and transition to renewable energy. The first chapter deals with importance of nuclear energy in European Union. The second chapter is focused on new opportunities in the energy sector and concept of smart cities. The third chapter analyzes the energy of Japan, the fourth chapter the energy of Germany and the fifth chapter is focused on energy of Czech Republic and Slovak Republic.
Off-grid system and container housing
Filka, Tomáš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Poláčik, Ján (advisor)
This thesis sums up current possibilities of using renewable energy sources and addi-tional technologies which can be suitable for off-grid systems. Specifically, it describes the possibility of their application to the increasingly common container structures. The first part of this work contains information about history and present trends in the area of renewable energy sources and container housing. The second part shows a concept of such house, completely disconnected from the public grid. The results of this study allow basic insight into the problem and illustrate the practical application of acquired knowledge.
Solar energy storage
Řehák, Pavel ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Poláčik, Ján (advisor)
This thesis aims to find solution that deals with excess energy produced by solar systems. Main point in this Bachelor's thesis is to solve off-grid solar power system that is completely self-sufficient. Introduction examines how solar panels works and the best weather conditions of operating. Analytics part of this thesis focuses on basic information about types of power accumulation with their advantages and disadvantages. Practical part proposes system used and also mathematical solution of solar system.
