Video Content Summarization
Jaška, Roman ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The amount surveillance footage recorded each day is too large for human operators to analyze. A video summary system to process and refine this video data would prove beneficial in many instances. This work defines the problem in terms of its inputs, outputs and sub-problems, identifies suitable techniques and existing works as well as describes a design of such system. The system is implemented, and the results are examined.
Virtual Gate for Counting the Passing of Persons
Chudý, Andrej Oliver ; Dvořák, Michal (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to propose a viable technique of detecting people passing through a virtual line (any opening without a turnstile or other form of the physical obstacle). Two software solutions were implemented to achieve high accuracy. First one processes 2D data output from webcam and the other one processes depth data from the 3D imaging sensor. Both software solutions were deployed and tested in a pharmaceutical storage room, where they achieved the accuracy of 98%. The software proposed in this thesis is thus reliable enough to become the basis of access control and security systems or for real-time evaluation of visitor rate statistics of commercial properties and events. The thesis also contains a comparative analysis of 3 widely used depth sensors.
Object detection
Baáš, Filip ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with detection of rigid objects in images. Chamfer matching algorithm, which is built for this kind of tasks is used as detection algorithm. First part of this work is dedicated to theoretical explanation of the algorithm. Most commonly used metrics of distance transform are explained, which is needed for the algorithm. Also explanation of chamfer distance calculation and pyramid representation of information is here. Next part is dedicated to development tools used in this work, which is integrated development environment Visual Studio and libraries OpenCV for image processing and Qt for graphical user interface creation. In last part of this work, practical implementation of object detection is described. This part explains the way objects are rendered, steps for creating a template from rendered image, method to create set of templates, comparison of speed of distance transformation calculation in different metrics, comparison of speed of common and pyramid detection and method of score calculation. The conclusion summarizes reached goals of this work.
Vyhodnocení směru pohledu osoby
Virgala, Ján ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to understand the problematics of eye tracking. Many current and historical eye tracking methods are described in this work as long as the main principles of their function. This work also informs about an application of the eye tracking systems in many fields of everyday life. This work contains the description of the realized programme and the main principles of its function. An analysis of the practical test performed on the group of volunteers and system-function-analysis are also included.
Machine Understanding of Maps and Optimal Trajectory Calculation
Kršák, Pavol ; Burian, František (referee) ; Chromý, Adam (advisor)
The teasis deals with the creation of software tools, which use human element to extracts data necessary for navigation in the field of raster maps for orienteering. To achieve this goal, it is important to segment individual sections of the map according to symbols on the map. These symbols are illustrated on the map with one colour or combinations of colours, which create patterns. Because of identification of individual symbols, the work deals with segmentation according to colours and pattern matching. To navigate in the field is important information on height differences on the ground , for this reason the work discusses the position of contour identification and determination of their heights. Combining terrain data with data about height differences will create a 3D color models in XNA. To navigate in such a terrain that is used A* algorithm , in which the test several heuristic model defined distance. The A* algorithm then provides the optimum route according to specified criteria .The resulting application conveys the necessary tools to analyze raster maps orienteering , these tools are the manual and the automatic nature. The work includes detailed operating instructions of developed application.
Autofocus using CAN-EF interface
Ižarík, Marek ; Nováček, Petr (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
The main topic of this master thesis is creating, testing and implementation of algorithms for autofocus with Canon camera lens using CAN-EF interface, while one of the assignments is possibility to continuous focus to the vehicle in traffic monitoring. There are tested a number of criteria for the assessment if sharpness in the image and is designed automatic control system of the lens and camera.
Algorithms Aupporting Computer Vision
Trnkóci, Andrej ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is implementatation of system detecting intruders in guarded zone. The program implements counting difference frame, segmentating image by thresholding and multiple objects detection.
Decoding Barcode in Image in Real Time
Krupa, Martin ; Kajan, Rudolf (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to describe barcodes used in real world applications and to create application for real time detecting and decoding of chosen barcodes using computer vision. Normal linear barcode is first introduced, and then two dimensional matrix barcode is described with focus on its origin, usage and structure. Especially the process of localization, encoding and decoding of QR Code, which is chosen for future use in work, is described mainly. Also briefly description of computer vision and OpenCV library is available. Next the concept and implementation of application for localization and recognition of QR Codes is described. Finally description of testing, evaluation of thesis and ways of improvements are discussed.
Stereoscopic Face Images Matching
Klaudíny, Martin ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to the problem of 3D face capture. A majority of current face capture systems exploits a pattern projection. The goal of thesis was to develop the 3D face capture system based on the passive stereo photogrammetry. The high-resolution images of a face are captured by one pair of the calibrated digital still cameras. The image pre-processing consists of the removal of lens distortion, rectification of image pair and face extraction. The stereo image matching is accentuated. Three different approaches to the stereo correspondence search are presented - the local technique, the global technique using a graph cut and the hybrid technique merging previous two. At last, the 3D model is reconstructed according to the found correspondence. The results show that the high-quality 3D face models can be obtained despite traditional difficulties with matching pattern-free face images. Also it is possible to keep the computational demands on the acceptable level, although the high-resolution images are processed.
Evaluation of stereovision algorithms in Computer Vision System for MATLAB
Lauko, Matúš ; Růžička, Michal (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is describing limits and features of stereovision application for space orientation using MATLAB tools. The intended use is for a robot. In practical part there is used Simulink 3D Animation Toolbox for scene creation. Frist part is a background research of computer vision, stereovision and MATLAB toolboxes Computer Vision System Toolbox and Simulink 3D Animation Toolbox. In the next part there is a description of model which is used for testing computational algorithm. Subjects to test are speed and accuracy taking into account other factors.
