Regarding to these politics the chapter focuses on participation of Czech Republic on putting European cultural heritage online. The third chapter is focused on college and university education in digitization and bringing cultural heritage online in USA and Europe, with a special focus on Slovac and Czech Republic. The fourth chapter sums up general characteristics of cultural heritage information systems and introduces some possible ways of their use in education and as information sources in libraries. The last chapter presents outputs of project devoted to development of digital library specialized on bringing online data obtained by research in private libraries.
Public Libraries as Mediators of Electronic Resources of Cultural Heritage

Digital Images Production and Quality Control
Vychodil, Bedřich ; Souček, Jiří (advisor) ; Sklenák, Vilém (referee) ; Nič, Miloslav (referee)
(EN) This dissertation provides a broad understanding of fundamental terminology and an inside view of the digitization workflow and quality control processes. The main foci are on quality assurance during and outside the digitization processes and identification of the most suitable format for access, long term preservation, rendering and reformatting issues. An analysis of selected digitization centers is also included. An application called DIFFER (Determinator of Image File Format propERties) and subsequently The Image Data Validator - DIFFER has been developed using results from previously conducted research. The application utilizes new methods and technologies to help accelerate the whole processing and quality control. The goal was to develop a quality control application for a select group of relevant still image file formats capable of performing identification, characterization, validation and visual/mathematical comparison integrated into an operational digital preservation framework. This application comes with a well-structured graphic user interface, which helps the end user to understand the relationships between various file format properties, detect visual and non visual errors and simplify decision-making. Additional comprehensive annexes, describing the most crucial still image...
Czech television and czech radio in the perspective of the PSM model: a case study
Obrovský, Petr ; Železný, Jakub (advisor) ; Trampota, Tomáš (referee)
The master thesis describes the development of Czech Television and Czech Radio be- tween 2005 and 2012, focusing on media policy, technology, content and attitude to the audience. It applies research output of the RIPE initiative as a theoretical basis for col- lection and interpretation of the data. RIPE, which links academia with media profes- sionals worldwide, aiming to redefine the public service remit for the 21st century, sug- gests that the political, economic, technological and social context has fundamentally changed in the last two or three decades. As a result, the original concept of public ser- vice broadcasting, established in Western Europe after the Second World War, has lost its legitimacy. It is therefore necessary for public service broadcasters (PSB) to trans- form into public service media (PSM). This means diversifying modes of distribution to new technologies besides traditional broadcasting, setting mechanisms of two-way and interactive communication with the audience, producing multimedia content exploitable on various platforms and clearly defining and justifying the value added of their offer- ings compared to those of commercial competitors. Using the method of case study, the thesis matches this conceptual framework with the situation in Czech Television and Czech...

Both TV channels were chosen regarding to the important stages (eras) of the television market development during which was possible to examine the valuable differences. The Entry of TV Nova belonged to the era of transformation and privatization of the Czech media. TV Nova was the first commercial TV channel of the full format type not only in Czech Republic but in all post-communist Europe. The Entry of TV Barrandov belonged to the era of TV digitalization. This TV channel was the first full format in the era of digitalization. The work tries to find answers if different conditions of entry caused usage of different marketing tools. Furthermore, if the differences of television markets influenced later developments of both TV channels.

Research results also point to higher knowledge of high-school youth, which is caused by more intellectual focusing of grammar school students.
Geometry Correction of a Prototype Part using the Reverse Engineering Technology
Smejkal, Martin ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis summarises some modern engineering technologies, namely Reversed Engineering, Rapid Prototyping and Soft-tooling. The Theory chapter describes the mentioned technologies in details and an extra attention is paid to those used in the Experimental chapter. The Experimental chapter summarises steps involved in a prototype part manufacturing. Specifically, in this thesis the method of Reversed Engineering includes 3D scanning followed by smoothing and adjusting of the obtained point cloud in the GOM Inspect V8 software. The final 3D CAD model is obtained in the Catia software. For the Rapid Prototyping the 3D CAD model was 3D printed using the FDM technology. The obtained 3D printed master model was used to prepare a silicone mould that was subsequently used to create an identical part by the method of Soft-tooling. The original part and parts obtained by 3D printing and moulding were compared in the GOM Inspect V8 software by the method of Surface Analysis.
