Laboratory Tasks for Analogue Technology

Subject Analog Technology focuses on basic analogue functional blocks and their usage in modern electronic devices. Theoretical part of a particular topic is taught at lectures and laboratory exercises are used to demonstrate specific examples to strengthen student’s knowledge. This paper contains comprehensive manuals with measuring procedures for all compulsory laboratory tasks, for students, to better understand all topics discussed in the subject Analog Technology. These manuals include theory regarding certain topic, mandatory tasks for students, connection diagrams and in some cases, necessary math equations to calculate outcome values. To verify correctness of a working procedure and for clarity an oscilloscope will be utilized. These manuals also contain tables as attachments, which are prepared to be printed and filled in with calculated values that are the outcome of some laboratory tasks. The main purpose of this thesis is to enhance the level of knowledge of students attending the subject Analog Technology and to improve effectiveness of the work in laboratories.
Teaching technical English at universities

This bachelor thesis deals with issues of teaching technical English at universities. The aim of the thesis is to describe and compare different approaches to the given issue. The introductory chapter focuses on analysis of approaches to the teaching of General English. The following chapter describes English for Specific Purposes, its roots and description, its areas, where this approach is usable, and course design of English for Specific Purposes courses. Subsequently, the thesis discusses with description of English for Academic Purposes and its evaluation, further, suggests possible activities that can be used in teaching of such language.
Commented Translation – New Trends in Air Transportation as Presented in Media

The purpose of the semestral thesis is to translate a text or more texts related to new trends in air transportation as presented in media from Czech into English and analyze the differences between both languages in translation. The work presented is divided into three main parts: theoretical introduction, translation of the technical text and translation analysis. The theoretical introduction deals with the types of translation and classifications. In the last part, the language phenomena and characteristic features of the English and Czech languages are analyzed on the examples of the translated texts.
Electronic Circuits for Biomedical Applications

The bachelor’s thesis contains an introduction to biomedical signals and the possibilities of processing those signals by electronic circuits. A significant part of the thesis focuses primarily on the description of EMG signal. Also, the thesis comprises diagrams of electrical circuits used primarily for processing of EMG signals. Furthermore, it includes a practical part, in which functions and parameters of a designed circuit are verified in simulator OrCAD Capture.

Tahle bakalářská práce se zabývá rozborem aspektů, které brání, či naopak umožňují integraci principů sociálních sítí do systému smart meteringu, jakožto i rozbor jejich potenciálu a možnosti provedení. Přínosy inteligentních sítí pro spotřebitele jsou dnes žhavým tématem. V této práci je prezentován průzkum zaměřený na tyto aspekty. Analýza výsledků průzkumu a klíčových sdělení identifikuje názory obyvatelstva na tohle téma a navrhuje možné směry kterými se mohou vydat budoucí aplikace a služby pro spotřebitele žijící v inteligentních městech.
The Role of Video Games in Health Care and Medical Training

This bachelor thesis deals with possible use of videogames and gaming-related technology in medical training and healthcare. General public often consider games as a waste of time or as a purely entertaining. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to provide evidence of their usefulness and positive impacts on the field of medical training and healthcare. First part of this work refers to and critically analyses the impact of videogames on medical training of students, physicians and even patients. While in the second part the way of using computer games in healthcare is discussed. For example, they can be used in the therapy of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or cerebral palsy, also as a way of reducing pain or discovering new biochemical structures. The intention is to cover, apart from gaming, also related technology like virtual reality and augmented intelligence which even enhances the experience of medical training or usage in healthcare.

With the increasing amount of global business models, the matter of language in cross-cultural communication has become increasingly important. This bachelor thesis provides an overview of some of the languages and the way they are used by the native speakers, while defining the influence of the mother tongue. It also explores culture and its definitions, while describing cultural models, namely the Lewis model and the Trompenaars’ model. The theory is subsequently applied on the two subjects of the thesis, England and Japan.

The purpose of semestral work is to understand what does “E-learning” means and where it comes from, to describe the history of electronic learning and research advantages and disadvantages of this kind of education. And finally get an answer for the question if E-learning is effective activity to learn languages? The work is devided into seven parts: defenitions, forms of e-learning, history of e-learning, advantages/benefits of e-learning, disadvantages of electronic electronic learning, an influence of modern technologies on the teaching process. The bachelor thesis is aimed at analyzing the work of representatives of e-learning. Description of the process of learning a language and the effectiveness of learning English through e-learning. Is it possible to learn a language with the help of electronic media and the Internet? This paper describes the process of learning English with the help of two electronic platforms. The first is a paid online school, the largest company studying English in Eastern Europe. The second part of the work is a free mobile application aimed at developing and learning English. The most popular application in the world in the online training section. information about companies, the history of creation and the principles of work used in the applications are presented in the form of a review of companies. Effectiveness of those companies and e-learning at all.

This Bachelor thesis focuses on the generation of electric energy using renewable resources. There are numerous factors related to renewable energy; however, these aspects are mostly looked upon individually rather than in a complex form. Therefore, the thesis attempts to cover most of the important aspects related to the generation of energy using renewable resources and organizes them into a logical form. This is done by presenting a general description of the technology itself as well as resulting impacts from utilised systems.
The influence of mother tongue on learning foreign languages

This thesis deals with the topic of the second language acquisition and relationship between the mother tongue and target language. It explains basic definitions regarding second language acquisition, contrastive analysis and language transfer. It stresses the importance of the first language acquisition and explains theories of SLA. It provides reader with examples of the most frequent errors in language learning. Furthermore, it discuses non-language factors and their influence on SLA.
