Importance of European Quartet for the tourism in Visegrad group countries

This bachelor thesis deals with the importance of the project European Quartet-One Melody for the tourism in the Visegrad group contries. In the first chapter, there are explained definitions of terms appearing in the thesis (primarily marketing and managemet of destination). The second chapter describes the tourism and its caracteristics in individual countries. The last chapter is focused on the colaboration of national tourist offices, the project European Quartet-One Melody and evaluation of his current importance.
Foreign Direct Investment in the Visegrad Countries

The aim of the study is to examine the effects of FDI on the four countries - Czech republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. There is a detailed description of a global flows of FDI, concentrating on specific important events that influenced the flows, also regarding the particular region of a world economy. In the main part the study examines every country of the Visegrad Group separately - its macroeconomic development, FDI flows and main events that had a major influence on the flows into each country. At the end there is also a small quantitative analysis trying to prove a relationship between FDI stock in each country and its rate of inflation, unemployment rate, GDP growth and a current account deficit of a ballance of payments.
The Results of the Transition Process in Visegrad Four

The thesis deals with the process of economic transition and its results in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic a the Slovak Republic, i.e. countries of Visegrad four. The paper describes the functioning of centrally planned economy and the general process of transition to a market economy. It also mentions different theoretical approaches. Furthermore it analyses the development of transition reforms in particular countries and compares the results of individual transition strategies.
The development of tax legistation of the Visegrad Group countries during the period of global economic crisis

The diploma thesis provides an analysis of development of tax systems and tax legislation of the Visegrad Group countries during the period of global economic crisis, i.e. between the years 2008 and 2010. The thesis deals with assessment of anti-crisis measures and influence of impacts of the economic crisis on tax revenues and tax mix in the Visegrad Group countries. Within separates chapters describes the wide range of measures which were accepted in the countries during crisis. The paper covers the main characteristics of tax systems and their position within European Union and shows a comparison of dynamic development of tax systems of the Visegrad countries. The thesis tries to provide a complete view on the tax trends in the four Central European countries.

The first chapter introduces the theory of the external economic balance. The second chapter describes the development of balance of payments of of Visegrad Countries in the years 2008-2010, common elements and differences between particular countries, basic trends, and the development during the given period of time.
Lobbying in the countries of the Visegrad Group

The main topic of this diploma thesis is lobbying in the countries of the Visegrad Group. The thesis is structured into two parts: practical and theoretical. The theoretical part addresses topics such as connection between lobbying as a term and its forms, determination of lobbying against corruption, interest groups problematic, which are also closely related to lobbying. In addition, the ways of regulating lobbying are also discussed in this part. In the practical part, lobbying laws in Poland and Hungary are thoroughly analysed together with drafts of laws in the Slovak and the Czech Republic. Furthermore, a comparative analysis was conducted in order to find similarities and differences between those norms. The main aim of the thesis is to provide a closer look at the individual regulatory elements of legislative regulation of lobbying in the countries of the Visegrad Group, as well as to identify similarities and differences between laws and drafts of laws by comparison.
The effects of tourism on economies of the Visegrad Group

The thesis analyses the effects of tourism on national economies of the Visegrad Group. The first section of the thesis describes basic economic characteristics of the Visegrad Group. The second part focuses on the influence of tourist industry on particular economies. It analyses the impact of tourism especially on the gross domestic product and the employment. The third chapter compares the position of NUTS 2 regions in both national economies and tourism of the Visegrad Group.
The Role of Germany and Russia in the Energy Security of Present Europe

This bachelor thesis analyses the state of energy security in Central Europe, under which the Visegrad group is understood, and the impact of key players in the region, Germany and Russia, on it. Not being neglected, the importance of raw materials (natural gas particularly) is not seen as the synonym of energy security, but only as one component of a broader concept. Emphasis is put on other elements of energy policy, such as the support of renewable energy, energy efficiency, fiscal policy, energy conservation and others.
Reform of pension system in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the experience of Visegrad Group

Pension reform in the Czech Republic is a frequently discussed topic. Look at the present state of pension system and its development we can supposed that pension reform will be necessary. This work deals pension reform in the Czech Republic compared with countries of Visegrad Group and financial burden analysis of pension systems. Necessity of reform depending up demographic development of society is described in the first part of the work. There are also mention steps leading to the stabilisation of pension system in the Czech Republic. Below is present development of pension system and pension insurance from 90th of 20th century to the present. Next part of the work presents pension systems in others Visegrad countries (Slovakia, Poland and Hungary) and their reforms. The conclusion compares the financial burden of pension systems in each country and its evaluation.
Energetics in Visegrad Group

Main purpose of this thesis is to find out how self sufficient concerning the energy raw materials are countries within Visegrad group. Further purpose of my thesis is to analyse total primary energy supply, the structure of energy supply in countries of Visegrad group and its developments in last 4 decades. Furher I want to reveal how the structure of total primary energy supply and structure of electricity generation reflect the disponibility of raw materials in these countries and transformation of economics in the nineties. A sub-objective of my work will examine how countries of the Visegrad Four use the potential of renewable energy sources and how they support it.
