The effect of social contact loss due to COVID-19 pandemic restrctions on physical activity level of the university students

Title: The effect of social contact loss due to COVID 19 pandemic restrictions on physical activity level of the university students. Objectives: The main aim of this work was to examine the evolution of physical activity and contact loss of the university students in Czech republic during the pandemic COVID -19. Methods: Quantitative type of research using the reach technique of the questionnaire, which was made by research team of experts in psychology and sociology from several universities in Czech Republic, under the auspices of the Czech konference of rectors and the council of the universities. The research group consisted 4 426 respondents - active students of czech universities. Results: The physical activity and the social contact have significant influence on quality of life of each person. COVID - 19 pandemic has affected them greatly. Respondents show, that during the pandemic there was a decrease in the regularity of physical activity. The most significat diferences were recorded during the winter semestre 2020/21, when the second wave of the pandemic was taking place. Engaging Peer Consultants in the Mental Health Care in the Context of Psychiatric Care Reform in the Czech Republic

The thesis deals with the issue of the current involvement of peer consultants in the care of mentally ill people in the context of identifying their specific needs. The aim of the thesis is to identify the benefits of employing peer consultants for themselves and for the social and health care system of mental health care. At the same time, the thesis aims to identify possible barriers or challenges that arise in the practice of peer consultant work, as well as in their employment. The author uses the concept of recovery and implementation theory to theoretically and conceptually anchor the thesis. Through the perspective of experts working in the field and peer consultants, the thesis provides a mapping of the benefits of the peer consultant role and an overview of their specific needs. At the same time, the author identifies the existence of significant barriers in the current set-up of the system of peer consultant involvement, which are mainly caused by the legislative non-anchoring of their position. The author concludes with recommendations for the future development of peer consultant involvement.
The Influence of University Studies on Perceived Positivity of Respondents

The main topic and aim of this paper is to find out the effect of university study on students' perceived positivity. The Positivity Self Test by Barbara Fredrickson was used for this research. The first part of the thesis deals with mental health and the methods by which it can be promoted. The second part of the thesis describes the Positivity Self Test, which was distributed to 5 university students. Respondents completed the test four times over the course of a year, over a period of 14 days. Twice during holidays and twice during school. This test is used to assess the extent to which university study influences respondents' positivity. The results showed that during the semester, the average positivity ratio was equal to 1.04:1. Approximately for every positive emotion, there was one negative emotion during this entire period, and the overall average positivity ratio during the holidays was 1.83:1. Thus, positivity decreased by almost one positive emotion for every one negative emotion. The study concludes with recommendations for students to maintain a stable positivity ratio during a stressful period. The effect of running on physical and mental health

The bachelor thesis entitled The effect of running on physical and mental health is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the thesis includes a definition of running including its effects on the human body, as well as a brief characterization of the muscular and skeletal system of the human body. It also includes health, motivation, stress, obesity and running injuries. The practical part contains the results of a qualitative investigation using interviews with selected adult respondents who are regular runners. The main aim of the work is to find out what effect running has on a person's health according to the respondents interviewed. The sub-objectives are to find out what effect running has on a person's physical health according to the respondents, then to find out what effect running has on a person's mental health according to the respondents, and then to find out and compare differences in running based on age among the selected respondents. Based on the above investigation, it was found that running has many positive and negative effects on a person's health. Well-being of secondary school teachers in Prague

This thesis deals with the subjective perception of well-being among secondary school teachers in Prague. The theoretical part of the thesis first defines the basic concepts related to the topic, namely the definition of the concept of well-being itself, which is viewed from many sources, as it is a very broad term. At the same time, the history of the term, its inclusion in andragogical reality and the topicality of the topic are described. Subsequently, all the areas that fall under this term are described, the ways in which well-being can be measured, but also possible obstacles to well-being are described. Then the theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the teaching profession and the problematic areas that fall within this profession - demandingness, salary, prestige and others. The practical part focuses on qualitative research, in which data and opinions of individual teachers on their subjective perception of well-being, their current state, possible obstacles they perceive and what they perceive as key to their own well-being are collected through semi-structured interviews; at the same time, some additional questions are answered to reveal the relationships between different areas and well-being itself. Evaluation of the benefits of the primary prevention program Nevypusť duši for its participants

The diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of the primary preventive programme Duševní zdravověda, which deals with mental health issues and is implemented in secondary schools. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness and benefit of this programme for its participants. Another aim was also to find out if variables such as gender, age and experience with mental illness of the respondents can influence their attitudes towards mental health. In the theoretical part of the thesis are defined mental health and illness, primary prevention and the current state of school primary prevention in the field of mental health are also defined. Also identified are protective factors that primary prevention programs dealing with mental health should support. Principles of effective primary prevention programmes and examples of proven mental health prevention programmes are presented. The preventive programme Duševní zdravověda and the non-profit organization Nevypusť duši, which implements it, are described here. Mental health, its diagnosis and therapy in people with hearing impairment

This thesis was created for the purpose of obtaining closer knowledge of the mental health of people with hearing impairment. At the same time, it also deals with psychological diagnostics and therapy for people with hearing impairment in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is divided into three thematic groups. The first area describes the issue of hearing impairment, its classification and more detailed information regarding prelingual and postlingual hearing impairments. Furthermore, it also describes the field of mental health, which focuses more precisely on the description of mental health in individual stages of life, the process of coping with a disability, and the psyche of the parents of a hearing-impaired child. The last segment of the theoretical part is a description of psychological intervention, which is further divided into psychological diagnosis and psychological therapy. In the practical part, there is a qualitative research investigation based on semi-structured interviews conducted with six informants with hearing loss aged 20-35. Influence of Social Work on Quality of Life of Clients with Mental Disorders

Presented bachelor thesis concerns itself with the influence of social work on the quality of life of clients with mental illness. In the theoretical part we define key terminology related to the thesis. It is primarily definition of mental illness, preceded by basic terminology of health, illness, mental health and mental illness, and further by definition and explanation of quality of life and related concepts like personal well-being and general satisfaction with life. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to map the influence of specific aspects of social work on the quality of life of clients with mental illness. To reach the goal, quantitative type of research is employed, together with quantitative research strategy. As the method of interviewing and data gathering technique two standardized questionnaires were used, complemented by one personal non-standardized questionnaire in which socio-demographic data and cooperation with experts were secured. Theory testing was done via pivot table using statistical method known as Pair T-test with help of IBM SPSS Statistics programme. The results of this research have confirmed that the influence of social work on the quality of life of clients with mental illness is a significant and important intervention that significantly influences the general level of quality of life. The tested theory is therefore confirmed. The discussion summarizes reached results and compares them with reference books that concern themselves with the topic of influence of social services on the quality of life of a client with mental illness. The end of the thesis mentions what benefit can this work bring and its possible practical application.
