Beginning Teacher at the first grade of primary school

Diploma thesis addresses the issue of initial training of beginning teachers of primary school in Czech schools. Defines the requirements for successful integration of new employees, as well as suggesting possible standard procedures, methods and assesses the possibility of their use in the school environment. It describes the role of supervising teacher and the meaning of its existence. The task of the practical part is to find out with which kinds of educational activities beginning teachers have problems. In interviews with experienced teachers, we tried to clarify whether at the time of their beginnings had the same problems as current teachers and we wonder on what skills and knowledge should be students of faculties of education trained better. Current Approaches to English Teacher Education as Reflected in Trainees' Teaching Practice

This work deals with the English language teacher training approaches administered at the Department of English Language and Literature of the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague. The work seeks answers to which aspects of teacher competence are developed by each of the approaches. As almost half of the trainees involved in the research had a previous teaching experience, the role of teaching experience on the development of teaching skills is also examined. Teacher trainees' written reflections on their teaching practice are analyzed using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The results are related to current trends in teacher education.

Practical Forms of the Teaching in the Preparatory Education of the Science and Biology Teachers (with a View to Microbiology) Presented thesis deals with the practical forms of education used in the practice teaching of the science and biology teachers. Especially the problem of the reflection in this process has been solved, namely in its practical components. Particularly has been focused on one special subject - microbiology. The main object of the thesis consists in a proposal how to innovate the present content of the practical part of a Microbiology Course, which should serve to the education of the students with the specification " Teaching Biology in Primary and Secondary Schools " at Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague, resp. to the education in its bachelor's part of the structural studies (which are being prepared).

The proportion of piano at the profiles of future teacher of Music - Music Education

The author of the thesis entitled " The Share of Piano Playing in Shaping the Future Music Teacher" wants to bring to attention the importance of piano playing in all parts of the musical educational process and its significant role in forming the personality profile of a future music teacher. Without developed piano playing skills, a teacher cannot take a creative part in the musical educational process, attract the children's attention and involve them in creative musical activities. In the connection with the current educational trends (humanistic, poly-aesthetic principles); the demands on teachers are gradually increasing. Teachers are expected to fulfil high professional and personal criteria to be able to perform effectively at contemporary schools, to control the education, where children's spontaneousness and vivacity play a dominant role. That is why, at the beginning of the thesis, the author discusses philosophical points and then deals with the development of a teacher's personality via the prism of piano playing. The thesis also covers psychological bases of personality from the point of view of three systems: biophysiological- motor-neuronal, cognitive and non-cognitive. Research Competence in the Teacher Profession and Teacher Education

The current Czech curriculum reforms facilitate the growing pedagogical autonomy of schools and thus bring about more demanding requirements relating to the professionalism of teachers. Having introduced the Framework Educational Programme for Basic School teachers, together with their school management and indirectly in cooperation with the school council they have become not only creators of the school curriculum (the School Educational Programme) but also its (auto) evaluators. How to define the term evaluation within the context of the teacher profession, still respecting the research domain of educational sciences, at the same time? How to specify the professional research activities of a teacher without downgrading the prestige of researchers-scientists in the area of educational sciences? How to guarantee so that teachers could become bearers of changes and co-creators of knowledge of educational reality, thus participating in the desirable change of the teacher profession status? Architecture first half of the 20th century in the western part of the Ústí Region ( in preparation of art teachers and the educational use of the work with electronic media )

The paper "The Architecture of the First Half of the Twentieth Century in the Western Part of the Ústi Region" ( in the preparation of art pedagogy and its didactical use in the realm of electronic media) covers - as it is obvious from the title - not only the architecture and its pedagogical reflection. In the first part of the paper the author tries to touch a phenomenon of the relationship of the society to the area itself. This phenomenon is significant as it unveils the social relationships and forces which were decisive in not only forming the region, but also influencing the way of interpretating the history, especially the history of the first half of the twentieth century. The main part of the paper consists of a description of the architecture in the interim period between the two world wars, in the identification of its creators, in the discerning of its Czech and German origins. The focus on the Ústi region is not by chance, as it is the home region of the author. The region is defined, starting at Ústi nad Labem going as far as Chomutov. This part traces the architectural development of German creativity in the Czech area and compares it with the Czech product. Student opinions on the level of mastering the competencies needed for teaching practice

The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out how much are students feeling prepared for future teacher´s profession in conditions of teaching and major-subject competencies. Questionnaires, which were used to do the survey, were filled in by students of the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice and then teachers, who are already engaged in this profession for several years. This work compares the level of proficiency of pedagogical and major-subject competencies. Furthermore the acquisition of competencies for the undergraduate students is compared with students completing their master degree in following programme and finally how men and women are feeling to be prepared. By the teachers I focused on the reached level of competence straight after finishing their studies followed by the level of competence after a few years of practical teaching. Teachers were questioned about what might help students with their acquirement of teaching skills.

Word of primary school teachers teaching hospital

The importance of hospital schools is justified by their many years of history. The establishment of a long-term stay for the child in a hospital bed and difficult integration of the child to school. There is a large group of educators who are very necessary, but also hard work. Their work is public enough to be recognised. There are many questions about the work of the special educators in hospitals. I'm aware of the imperfections of his work, but I tried on the exploration of the work of teachers in the hospital At Bulovka.

The beginnings of elementary education in the region of České Budějovice

This thesis deals with the beginnings of education in the Czech lands, in particular in České Budějovice. It also mentions the creation and development of elementary and middle-class schools. Great attention is paid to the foundation of Matiční school by August Zátka. The thesis concentrates also on the training of teachers, and last but not least, the content of school subjects in the years 1869?1920. The thesis is supplemented by attached annexes, which contain photos of schools, women's Association Ludmila, teacher's Institute in Kutná Hora and final report from 1905.

Diagnostics of pedagogical practise by the pedagogical faculty student´s

In theoretical part, this thesis is occupied with indiviual components related with pedagogical practice at universities. This theoretical part acquaint the reader with practice, with an impact on a student, with the source of professionalization in the historical developement and with the foreign models of professionalization. In this section, it also acquaints the readers with the fine line of practice with teaching methodology. It illuminates issues in particular faculties. It also pushed ahead educators of teachers, ahead motivation in practice, organization of teaching practice and its evaluation. This part is added on several proposals of dealing the issues. The second part is practical and explorational. This part finds out satisfaction of students with teaching practice at The Faculty of pedagogy in České Budějovice using questionnaires and processes their proposals to improve. The results were graphically processed and accompanied by commentary. The thesis is accompanied by interesting annexes applied on pedagogical practice.
