Důležitost nemocničních škol je doložena jejich mnohaletou historií. Jejich zřízení si vyžádal dlouhodobý pobyt dítěte na nemocničním lůžku a nesnadné začlenění vyléčeného dítěte do školy. Existuje rozsáhlá skupina pedagogů, kteří odvádějí velmi potřebnou, ale i namáhavou práci. Jejich práce není veřejností dostatečně doceněna. Je mnoho otázek okolo práce speciálních pedagogů v nemocnicích. Jsem si vědoma nedokonalosti své práce, ale pokusila jsem se o průzkum práce učitelů v nemocnici Na Bulovce.
