Life events as risk factors of alcohol abuse in women

Anemia of critical illness
Mudrochová, Šárka ; Těšínský, Pavel (advisor)
Anaemia critical condition represents a special morbid entity, and is very frequent phenomenon in intensive care units, occurs in a large number of patients and the worse the prognosis. It is defined as anemia resulting in severely acutely ill patients can not be explained by one specific cause and is mainly characterized by inadequate response to endogenous erythropoietin hypoxia and the low levels of hemoglobin. To her, a range of factors and occurs already in the first days of hospitalization. Thanks to its clinical consequences deserves serious attention. Even though it was made by a wide variety of studies, is not yet optimal therapy or prevention are known in detail. The studies often give conflicting results in this area is not easy to navigate. In my work I would like to summarize knowledge about this phenomenon mainly collected from foreign literature and for comparison here I present the results of a study carried out by doc. MD Těšínský et al. the Jimpo II. Department of Internal Medicine FNKV, which focuses on the question blood donations and their impact on the development of anemia of critical conditions. The theme I chosen not only because of his intense interest in internal medicine, but especially because that is very current.

Dyspnoea
Němečková, Helena ; Chloubová, Helena (advisor) ; Marková, Eva (referee)
The theoretical part of the diploma work has been influenced by the literature available, I describe briefly the physiology and pathology of breathing, the characteristics and divisions of dyspnoea, the feelings of those suffering from acute or chronic dyspnoea, nursing diagnosis, nurse evaluation, therapy and at the end some recommendation to improve the life quality of the patients suffering from dyspnoea. The research aim was to find out how the patients perceive breathlessness, how it affects their lives, what measures they take to influence or reduce it and what factors influence their breathing. I came into conclusion that the 27 asked patients/clients mainly feel the lack of air and fear. Chronic dyspnoea is often accompanied by the feeling of powerlessness. Surprisingly, dyspnoea hasn't been the cause of sleep disorder although it often is the reason for effort reduction and it worsens the life quality of the patients. In spite of the fact almost one half of the patients hasn't been forced to change the regime. The influence of the physical activities proved to be unambiguous. In general, dyspnoea is accompanied by unpleasant feelings which depend on the time, it can impair sleep, it changes the life quality forcing the person to reduce physical activity and in acute case to have total physical rest.

Maryse Condé and her novels Heremakhonon and Moi, Tituba sorcière... Noire de Salem
Hauner, Andrew Jan ; Jamek, Václav (advisor) ; Voldřichová - Beránková, Eva (referee)
The purpose of this paper is to analyze Heremakhonon (1976) and Moi, Tituba sorcière… Noire de Salem (1986), the first novel and the most successful novel, respectively, of Maryse Condé (born 1937), one of the most influential figures of 20th century francophone literature (who is as of yet nearly entirely unknown to Czech contexts and whose work has not been translated into Czech). The underlying formal element connecting these novels, i.e. a narrating protagonist, is presented as both an individual and collective identity quest, during which Maryse Condé, for (im)personal reasons, problematizes certain theoretical paradigms of identity.

Footbridge across the Labe
Krč, Rostislav ; Romportl, Tomáš (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis focuses on design of prestressed concrete footbridge which passes pedestrian and bicycle path over the Elbe river near city of Celakovice in the Czech Republic. Three different bridge options were analyzed and for further development a cable-stayed footbridge was chosen. Its bridge deck is formed of a box girder supported by cables in its vertical axis and all cable stays are anchored into two concrete A-shaped pylons. This structure was analyzed in SCIA Engineer and assessment of serviceability limit states and ultimate limit states according to recent European standards (Eurocodes) was made. Both the global structural behavior and the local structural integrity of box cross-section were assessed as well as construction stages and cross-sections of pylons and cable stays. Assessments were performed in IDEA StatiCa combined with hand calculations. Eventually a dynamic response of structure was analyzed. Natural modes and frequencies were found and forced oscillation response was evaluated. The thesis includes technical drawings, construction process and visualization.

ACTING IN THE LIFE AND THE LIFE IN ACTING
Müller, Richard ; PLEŠTILOVÁ, Miroslava (advisor) ; ŠIKTANCOVÁ, Jaroslava (referee)
This thesis deals, in general, with the topic of theatrical experience of a young person, and examines everyday life influences on his artistic life and on the development of art within the person self. It poses questions and looks for answers to some of those questions in the specialist literature, or by deducing from personal experience.First, numerous influences that affect a person during his studies are presented, the importance of a person’s psychological profile, as well as his understanding of himself, and of the world around him. Later on, personal experience from professional carrier is described. I am disclosing character work in the DISK theatre and I am trying to find reasons for my feelings, both, good and bad, during the rehearsing processes, and the cause of my successes and failures. Acting, on stage as well as in front of the camera, is described from an unusual point of view, focusing greatly on details that are oftentimes overlooked. The new perspective from which I am trying to present acting and the life of an artist consists not only of the professional tools for mastering the craft - such as learning new parts, adopting the technical skills, etc. - but emphasizes humanity, underlines its importance, and searches for a threshold between professional and personal life of an actor.
