Modelling and simulation of communication system receiver for unmanned aircraft
Hoferek, Jakub ; Prokeš, Aleš (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the simulation of the radio communication system for satellite control of unmanned aircraft, namely the command and control communication link – the forward link. The aim of the thesis is to create a simulator in the Matlab environment. The simulator includes a model of the transmitter, radio channel and receiver. Four-state CPM modulation with partial response and filtered symbol shape is used. The radio channel performs noise, frequency Doppler shift and time delay to the received signal. Subsequently, in the Acquisition Unit, the Doppler shift and time delay are detected and compensated. At the end of the thesis, the simulation results of the presented model are presented in the form of graphs đť¸s/đť‘0.
Universal communication unit
Ružička, Michal ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Sláčik, Ján (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is going to deal with communication over the power network. Aim of this project is to clarify this issue and consequently to use the acquired knowledge for desingning own communication unit. The basic parameters of power network which influence this type of communication are being described in this thesis. The concept of universal communication unit is created. Pheripheral solutions are chosen for this concept and the given device will be made of them. The custom communication unit is created on this basis. The funkcionality of this unit is tested in the work.

Phishing and other risks of public Wi-Fi networks
Mäsiar, Daniel ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Sedláček, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with problematics of public wireless networks, with focus on tho-se operating in densely populated areas such as public transport, libraries or fast-food restau-rants. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate how users of public Wi-Fi networks behave, what their customs are and how high is their awareness about possible threats. In the intro of the theoretical part of this paper, main standards and norms are listed, essential terms are defined and various types of possible wireless attacks are presented as well as briefly described. Further, this thesis inspects possible ways of protection against these attacks and finally, term phishing is concisely defined. The empirical part is dedicated to creating of a suitable tool for gathering statistical data about awareness of users at public places. Further, this tool is used in combination with phishing methodics for the actual statistical research. The whole process will follow the rules and laws defined by The Office for Personal Data in Czech Republic.
Nikola Tesla - Genius, who changed the World
Fexová, Lucie ; Beneš, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Čechura, Jaroslav (referee)
Nikola Tesla - Genius who changed the world This bachelor thesis tells the story of life and work of Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla and it's mainly dedicated to years, which he spent in America. In the context of that time it highlights the importance of his inventions, some of which have significantly affected today's technology. The largest part of the work, occupy two Tesla's long life disputes which affected his career and personal life. The first one of these, "war of currents", was between Tesla and Edison. The second one between Tesla and Marconi passed because of invention of radio. The development of both disputes is described from the historical, economical and technological side, which focuses on the consequences for today's world. At the end of the text, there is a brief presentation of lesser-known Tesla's inventions and various recognitions which he received for his contribution to science.
Role and position of radio in the era of convergence of media
Puklová, Anna ; Jirků, Jan (advisor) ; Osvaldová, Lucia (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to describe the role and the position of radio in the era of convergence of media. From the third decade of the twentieth century when radio became a mass medium it still has its position in the society, after all changes in the world of media. In the theoretical section, this thesis introduces development trends in the history of radio, terms like new media, convergence or hybridization of media and the reaction of radio on these new media trends. The second practical part introduces results of the research which was divided into a quantitative and into a qualitative part. The quantitative part was realized by the survey. The aim of this survey was to find out if people in the Czech Republic listen to the radio. If they do listen to the radio, the information needed was how often, where or what they listen to. Qualitative part was realized through six semistructured interviews with respondents from different generations. The aim of this part was to confirm and complete findings from the survey. Results of the research made for this thesis show us that radio has still an important place in the Czech society. 88% of the respondents listen to it. The role of radio in the society has changed and in some cases it was replaced with television or with the Internet,...
Wireless IR sensor for space intrusion detection
Možný, Radek ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with design of wireless space breach detection sensor using sensor HC-SR501 and communication module SI4432. In thesis emphasis is on design of device with as low power consumption as possible using sleep modes of microprocessor Atmega328. Thesis includes desighn of temperature measurement, battery state measurement and subsequent broadcasting of gained information to receiving base station. Task of basae station is to evaluate information and among other things decide whether or not is guarded space breached. Two sensor network is further elaborated when sensors are sending periodical notification, person detection alarm, sensor manipulation alarm or warning about low battery state. Base station has regimes guarded and unguarded .
The RF network – Ethernet converter realization
Zemčík, Michal ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Čožík, Ondřej (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with creating of schematic, printed circuit board and testing of Ethernet-to-RF network converter. Thesis briefly describes usage of this converter. In next part it describes main parts and used peripherals. Practical part of thesis deals with soldering, reviving of board and testing.
Application for Controll System in Caravan
Řehulka, Marek ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
This Master's thesis deals with the development of a mobile application for a control of the supervisory system in caravans and motorhomes. The thesis presents the currently available principles and research of the existing solutions. This custom solution includes an Android application and a desktop application of the central unit simulator of the supervisory system. The simulator is based on the Node.js and node-webkit technologies. The simulator communicates with the devices available via RF Transciever and it simulates other devices. The mobile application communicates with the simulator via Bluetooth Low Energy and GSM. Major part of the implementation description is devoted to the Bluetooth Low Energy technology and to issues, which are associated with it. The resulting solution puts emphasis on the usability of the user interface and the ability to supervise a wide range of connected devices. The system also implements custom logic alerts for tracked events. The thesis concludes with evaluation of the resulting system and outlining the future development options.
