Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rolí a postavením rozhlasu v době konvergence médií. Od 30. let 20. stol., kdy se stalo rozhlasové vysílání masovým médiem, si i přes veškeré změny v mediálním světě drží své postavení ve společnosti. Práce se v teoretické části zabývá vývojovými trendy v historii rozhlasu, nástupem tzv. nových médií a s nimi spojenými pojmy jako jsou konvergence či hybridizace médií, ale také reakcemi rozhlasu na tyto nové mediální trendy. Za teoretickou částí následuje část výzkumná, která čtenáři představuje výsledky provedeného výzkumu složeného z kvantitativní a kvalitativní části. Kvantitativní část výzkumu byla realizována pomocí dotazníku a jejím cílem bylo zjistit, zda lidé v české společnosti rozhlasové vysílání poslouchají a pokud ano, tak kde, při jakých činnostech a co v něm poslouchají. Kvalitativní část se skládala z šesti polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s respondenty zastupujícími různé generace, jejímž cílem bylo potvrdit a doplnit poznatky z dotazníkového šetření. Výsledky výzkumu provedeného pro účely této práce ukazují, že rozhlas má v českém prostředí stále důležité místo, poslouchá jej 88 % respondentů. Role rozhlasu ve společnosti prošla jistými změnami a v některých případech byla nahrazena televizním vysíláním nebo internetem, přesto si většina respondentů... The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to describe the role and the position of radio in the era of convergence of media. From the third decade of the twentieth century when radio became a mass medium it still has its position in the society, after all changes in the world of media. In the theoretical section, this thesis introduces development trends in the history of radio, terms like new media, convergence or hybridization of media and the reaction of radio on these new media trends. The second practical part introduces results of the research which was divided into a quantitative and into a qualitative part. The quantitative part was realized by the survey. The aim of this survey was to find out if people in the Czech Republic listen to the radio. If they do listen to the radio, the information needed was how often, where or what they listen to. Qualitative part was realized through six semistructured interviews with respondents from different generations. The aim of this part was to confirm and complete findings from the survey. Results of the research made for this thesis show us that radio has still an important place in the Czech society. 88% of the respondents listen to it.
