User Interfaces for Editing Transfer Functions
Svoboda, Michal ; Krajíček, Václav (referee) ; Maršálek, Lukáš (advisor)
Visualization of volume data is nowadays still actual theme in computer graphics. The reason is a significant role of volume data in fields such as medicine, biology or simulation of physics experiments. In order to create informative visualizations of volume data, it is necessary to create so-called "transfer functions" that maps input values to a displayable quantity. Creating transfer functions is often difficult and lengthy process. Often considerable expertise is also required from the user. The aim of this work is to design user interface for creating and editing transfer functions, which would work as intuitively as possible. The basic requirement is a direct interaction between transfer function and displayed data. The result of this work is user interface, which does not put high demands on specialized knowledge of the user.

Mobilization of intracellular calcium via muscarinic acetylcholine receptors.
Šantrůčková, Eva ; Jakubík, Jan (advisor) ; Krůšek, Jan (referee)
Muscarinic acetylcholine receptors play important role in many physiological and pathophysiological processes. Muscarinic receptors are metabotropic receptors for acetylcholine. The objective of this thesis is to compare long-term effects of short-term exposure of the muscarinic receptors to xanomeline among subtypes. There are two groups of muscarinic receptors that differ in their extracellular-to-intracellular signal transduction - the odd-numbered ones (M1, M3, M5) preferentially couple to Gq/11 G-proteins, whereas even-numbered ones (M2, M4) couple mainly via Gi/o. CHO cells stably expressing individual muscarinic receptor subtypes were used for all experiments. Cells expressing M2 and M4 receptors were transiently transfected with cDNA for human Gq/16 G-protein to achieve calcium response comparable to the one at oddnumbered subtypes. Calcium level was measured with the fluorescent indicator Fura 2. Xanomeline stimulation induced the fast mobilization of the intracellular calcium at all five receptor subtypes. In accordance with the functional selectivity of xanomeline for M1 and M4 receptors, the immediate calcium response to xanomeline was comparable to that of full agonist carbachol and the elevated calcium level sustained for one hour after xanomeline had been removed. On the other hand,...

Motivation and the flow experience of school of music' students (the theoretical-empirical analysis of high absorption activity aspect flow)
Slavíček, Jiří ; Koťa, Jaroslav (referee) ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor)
The musical education has a long tradition in the Czech Republic. Nowadays its aim is not only the development of personality abilities and competences of children and young people so it helps to make cultural and artistic platform of the society, but it is also focused on making positive relations to music and musical activities and its integration into a person's lifestyle. Positive experiences from musical activities can help a person to be directed in this way. The musical education takes place in elementary artistic schools (ZUS). The thesis is focused on questions of motivation through deep absorption into a ,,/low" activity and how to use this in musical education. It is also focused on concrete factors that support the induction into the ,,/low" state while practising on a musical instrument. In the thesis are also described the relations between students personality and his or her ability to experience the ,,/low" state during the self-controlled musical instrument practise and the influence of teacher's educational and pedagogical style on this type of motivation

Methodology for Budgeting a Business Unit and its Technology Support
Rufer, Filip ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Buncík, Petr (referee)
In the present day planning and budgeting is a vital and an irreplaceable instrument for managers. Through planning and budgeting they control management and development of a company. Planning and budgeting no longer is a competitive advantage, but has become a necessary condition for an efficiently run company. Increasing complexity of the environment impacts the requirements for planning and budgeting -- the need to be more complex, the need to include more relations and more specifications. Company's reaction to these demands is usually an implementation of special tools that allow the company to accomplish these requirements. Although, implementation of these instruments along with planning and budgeting generally troubles many companies, some are already looking for new ways to further develop planning; better said budgeting. Today companies are believed to receive a competitive advantage from compiling consolidated budgets for a business unit that is to say from the possibility to budget a business unit as a whole. The main purpose of this research paper is to develop a methodology for budgeting a business unit and its technology support. This methodology due to its newness of this issue has not yet been defined. Reaching the set goal depends on completion of predefined sub goals. The main content of sub goals, as defined in literature and based on my own experience with planning and budget analysis, is to describe this issue and thus enable the reader to understand and be able to implement this methodology on the job. The text of this research paper is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter the reader is introduced to the issue of planning, and learns about the goals, results and conceptual solutions of this paper. The second chapter is dedicated to the issue of planning and budgeting -- it explains its importance, analyzes its functions and aspects that are influenced by it. The third chapter ties back to the general definitions of budgeting from the second chapter and provides further details. This chapter identifies and describes techniques of compiling budgets, the techniques' strengths and weaknesses. The chapter describes the most common shortfalls of budgeting and its solutions; also, outlines the best budgeting practices. The fourth chapter stems from chapter two and three -- following the issue in which the reader is introduced to the characteristics of budgeting for a business unit, and moreover defines the methodology presumption and the methodology itself. The end of the chapter evaluates the results of the execution of the presumed methodology and its usability on the job. The fifth chapter summarizes the conclusions and the level of success on execution of this paper. Keywords: Planning, Budgeting, Budgeting Techniques, Consolidation, Business Unit, Corporate Performance Management (CPM), Best Practices.

Peroperative and postoperation sentinel lymph node detection evaluation in treatment strategy in cervical and vulvar cancer patients
Pluta, Marek ; Rob, Lukáš (advisor) ; Rokyta, Richard (referee) ; Cibula, David (referee) ; Feyereisl, Jaroslav (referee)
Vulvar cancer is not frequent disease regarding individualized treatment approach. Complete inguinofemoral lymphadenectomy is still standard treatment modality with relatively high short and long term morbidity. Anatomical correlation between vulva and regional lymphatic system represented by inguinofemoral region is basic for actual strategy for less radical operations including sentinel lymph node identification and detection. Application technique, timing and identification technique were presented in Czech and foreign publication as well [46] (see attachment no.: 9). Sydney consensus made by expert board in 2008 is based on 10 publications including our one. Consensus recommends in squamous cancer patients up to 4 cm stage I and II only sentinel lymph node identification procedure like an alternative to standard inguinofemoral lymphadenectomy. This procedure is recommended only for oncogynecologic centers with sentinel nodes identification experiences. Most important original information arises from study about in vivo lymphatic drainage and sentinel lymph nodes localization and topography. If we separate superficial groin in thirds, there were no sentinel nodes in outer third. On the other hand, 15% sentinel nodes were localized in deep femoral region. It explains that extirpation only superficial...

Human Dependance as part of Personal Assistance
Fricová, Jitka ; Zemková, Jaroslava (referee) ; Hájková, Vanda (advisor)
The thesis "The Human Relationship in Personal Assistance" will address the interpersonal relationship which arises between an individual with disabilities relying on personal assistance and their personal assistant. The aim of this work is to explore and describe the nature of this relationship, the roles which are fulfilled by the two players and last but not least to define situations in personal assistance, which may frequently give rise to conflict between the personal assistant and the client. In the theoretical portion of the work basic information about personal assistance will be given, physical characteristics of individual disabilities and their effect and a delineation of the idea of relationship. The practical portion will proceed in the form of an examination of ten interviews with personal assistants and personal assistance clients. Its results will be complemented by other findings from literature and personal experience from the author of the work. This work should serve people who operate in the field of personal assistance, whether in the role of personal assistant, a client or other people in order to better understand the laws regarding assistance and to avoid unpleasant situations and conflicts.

Automatický word alignment
Kravalová, Jana ; Novák, Václav (referee) ; Pecina, Pavel (advisor)
Word alignment is a crucial component of modern machine translation systems. Given a sentence in two languages, the task is to determine which words from one language are the most likely translations of words from the other language. As an alternative to classical generative approach (IBM models) new methods based on discriminative training and maximum-weight bipartite matching algorithms for complete bipartite graphs have been proposed in recent years. The graph vertices represent words in the source and target language. The edges are weighted by measures of association estimated from parallel training data. This work focuses on the effective implementation of maximum weight bipartite matching algorithm, implementation of scoring procedures for graph vertexes, and basic experiments and their evaluation.

Vondruška, Pavel ; Raška, Ondřej (advisor) ; Prokop, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is describing a current domain market situation and explaining methods of domain monetization. This work compares different ways of domain monetization, evaluation, using a domain and trading them. The aim should be reached by objective description of basic facts and by illustrative examples. During writing this thesis I used public accessible sources, mostly web-based. I gather much useful information in last years as I am interested in this sphere of business. The thesis is structured so that even a reader without any previous experience in domain marketing should understand everything.

Perception of shape of minor objects by five-year old children
Skalová, Dana ; Kaslová, Michaela (advisor) ; Zapotilová, Eva (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the perception of shape of minor objects by five-year old children and further processing of such perceptions. The main objective of this thesis is to map how the children of this age distinguish the selected shapes, how they compare them, whether they are able to remember and identify them, which words they use when identifying the shapes, and what is the role of the way of perception itself in the identification process. To meet this objective the author applies the laboratory experiment method. The experiment was conducted in a kindergarten and the objects used were parts of building sets "Otíkova stavebnice" and "Netradiční stavebnice". The objects were of different shape, colour and size but the children were always able to hold them in one hand. The benefit of this thesis consists in its contribution to the present pre-school age literature, where such topics are still missing. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
