Author: Bc. Jana Vosáhlová Title: The impact of the absence of physical education lessons on results of motor tests in elementary school children Goals: The aim of this work is to determine the effect of the absence of physical edu- cation classes on the results of motor tests, specifically on the results of the UNIFIT- TEST test battery (6-60) and on leisure time physical activity of primary school children aged 9-14 and to compare the results obtained with the results of a previously performed study which was carried out in the period during which physical education was taught in the usual way. Methods: A total of 87 children aged 9 to 14 (47 girls and 40 boys) from Husova 170 Elementary School in Jičín participated in the study. Pupils were tested using the UNIFITTEST test battery (6-60) from motor tests (standing long jump, repea- ted sit-ups, endurance shuttle running, shuttle running) and somatic measurements. However, due to the closure of schools as a result of the serious epidemiological situation, it was not possible to complete the entire motor test battery. Another part of the study was a questionnaire survey focused on the child's leisure activity during the coronavirus and summer holidays. Results: The negative effect of the absence of physical education was manifested only in the...

Beránková, Adéla ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Dvořáková, Hana (referee)
This thesis deals with the impact of the specific physical activity on the physical fitness of children measured by UNIFITTEST (6-60). Final results were processed based on the UNIFITTEST standarts and the information about physical activity of the children were taken from the questionnaire which have been created specifically for this research. The stated research questions were compared with results from the practical part of the thesis and were discussed in the discussion chapter. By this research we have found out that children form seventh and eighth grade have reached an average value in motoric tests. Due to this work children have found out their physical fitness and so they could compared it with their classmates. Also they have got to know with the physical tests with which they can be part of during physical lessons. This work was made by research form realised at standard nonspecific elementary school Na Výsluní in Brandýs nad Labem. The total amount of the participants were 194 from 12 to14 years. Title: The Effect of Exercise Intervention on Physical Fitness and Quality of Life in Patients after Bariatric Surgery Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effect of a three-month physical intervention on the physical fitness and quality of life in patients after bariatric surgery. Compare the measured values from six-minute walk test (6MWT) and the questionnaire survey of quality of life between the group undergoing exercise program and the group of non-exercise patients. Methods: The diploma thesis was constructed as a quasi-experiment. A six-minute walk test, a visual analogue pain scale, a Borg scale and a standardized IWQOL-Lite questionnaire were used to asses physical fitness and quality of life. The study involved 28 patients (8 undergoing an exercise program, 20 non-excercisers). The groups were measured before the planned bariatric surgery and about 3-4 months after the surgery. For the analysis of final values, the Microsoft Excel and its add-in Realstatistics was used. Results: In patients undergoing the exercise program, the VAS on average decreased of 2,04 cm, 6MWT improved on average of 42,75 m, and quality of life of 34 points. In non-exercise patients there was an average decrease in VAS of 0,08 cm, an increase in 6MWT of 41,45 m and an increase in quality of life...
Primary school students' physical competence in relation to their study results
Zaplatílková, Lucie ; Mahrová, Andrea (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Name Relation between physical fitness and study results of primary school students Goal The goal of the thesis is to examine physical fitness of primary school students, compare it with their study results, and see if there is any relatioship between these two variables. Methods Physical fitness is tested with tests and norms of Unifittest (6-60) (Měkota, Kovář, 2002) and study results are generated with questionnaires. The answers are then matched with Unifittest's results of each student. Results are processed with the help of statistical methods. Results The results of Unifittest (6- 60) showed above-average or well above-average level of fitness with 89 % of individuals. Only 11 % of participants reached the average score. The best performance was detected with girls of the 9 ͭ ͪ grade and boys of the 7 ͭ ͪ grade. Spearman correlation coefficient showed a medium-strong relation between the Unifittest (6- 60) results and grades from Czech language, foreign language, and mathematics in 2 categories. 6 ͭ ͪ grade girls had the correlation rₛ= 0,51 and 8 ͭ ͪ grade girls rₛ= 0,56. Other categories showed very weak correlation relation. Keywords Unifittest, physical fitness, studying, youth, sit-ups, pull-ups, long jump, Cooper test

Title: Relation between motor skills, physical fitness and body composition in preschoolers age 4. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to determinate if there are any significant relationships between motor skills, physical fitness and body composition in preschool age. Furthermore, to determine the degree of these relationships and their stability over time using repeated measures. Methods: The research group consisted of n=17 preschool-age children. For the evaluation of body composition we used the method according to Matiegka (1921) The level of gross motor skills was assessed with a TGMD-2 (Ulrich, 2000). To determine the level of physical fitness, a combination of agility test 4x5 metre, multistage 20-metre shuttle run, standing long jump, sit-ups, sit-and-reach and throw ball with alternative hands. Basic descriptive statistics, normality tests, Pearson correlation, paired T-test and regression analysis with level of clinical significance were used to analyze obtained data. Results: The results of our study did not find any clinically significant relationships between the level of motor skills, physical fitness and body composition. The largest relationship was found between the 4x5 m agility test and the jump within TGMD- 2 (r = -0.68). We found the highest stability (reliability) in the...
