Title: Monitoring of the quality of body posture and of the relation between body posture and physical fitness at young school-age children Objective: The main goal of the work is to determine the quality of body posture and to find out the relation between posture and individual components of physical fitness and between posture and leisure time regime at a selected group of children of young school-age children Methods: The research group consisted of 147 children, 77 boys and 70 girls from 1st to 3rd grades aged 6.3 to 9.7 years. To evaluation of posture has been performed by the Matthias test, which has been modified tor the purpose of this thesis. This modified test was verified in a pilot study. The assessment of physical fitness was based on a UNIFITTEST 6-60 test battery, also the values of somatic features were measured. The test battery was supplemented by a test of maximum reach while sitting bended. To determine the volume of physical activities, a questionnaire was used, resp. the survey, which was completed by parents, due to the age of the children. To evaluate the date, statistical methods have been used for evaluating differences (the-test, Mann-Whitney test, Kruskal- Wallis test) and to analyse the depency of variables a Spearman's rank correlation coefficient was used. The effect...
Monitoring the relationship between physical activity of parents and physical activity of children
Slabá, Klára ; Vojtíková, Lenka (advisor) ; Kainová, Lucie (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with monitoring the relationship between physical activity of parents and their children. As the main goal, I chose to find out the relationship between physical activity of parents and their children. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part characterizes the development of pre-school children. It defines the terms of motor development and gross motor skills. It summarizes knowledge about movement, physical activity, sport and healthy lifestyle. It describes the education and stimulation of children to physical activities and common free time. The practical part is focused on monitoring the relationship between physical activity of parents and their children through an online questionnaire, which I developed. It detects if there is a connection between the physical aktivity of parents and children. Based on the findings, I state that the connection between the physical aktivity of parents and their children has been confirmed. When parents do not play sports, children do not, or they engage in a maximum of two activities for which their parents have refistered them.Children of sporting parents have a much larger volume and variety of physical activities. In order to increase the volume and variety of activities for children of...
Effects of body height on movement competences of pupils
Sláčíková, Barbora ; Vojtíková, Lenka (advisor) ; Kainová, Lucie (referee)
This thesis focuses on the evaluation of how body height, BMI, gender, and leisure-time physical activities affect movement competence of pupils. The theoretical part analyses the younger school age and its characteristics in physical, psychical, movement, and motoric development. We further also analyze how movement activities affect child's organisms. The critical chapter of the theoretical part is a chapter about growth and development. Additionally, we add information about anthropometric and somatic changes in the younger school age. At the end of the theoretical part, we provide an overview of methods that can be used to measure movement competence. We mainly elaborate on MOBAK 3 method, which we chose to use in our research. The research part describes the selected research and statistic methods, research sample, and results. The data showed that there is no significant relationship between body height and movement competence. However, we found significant relationships with the other variables - BMI, gender, and leisure-time physical aktivity. KEYWORDS younger school age, body height, movement competence, motoric testing, Mobak
