Vliv ekonomické krize na finanční zdroje neziskových organizací

These papers focus on the financial resources of nonprofit sector and how the economic crisis had to changed them a what was the effect. By analyzing data which were collected from questionnaires and annual reports of nonprofit organizations, I'm using basic statistics came to the answer to the question whether an increase or decrease of financial resources, especially, donations, money from EU funds and state subsidies. In papers, there is also explanation of paradoxical behaviour of Czech donaters, stability of government grants as a financial resource and the different behaviour of Prague due to whole state. At the end of papers is a comparison between European nonprofit sector and American nonprofit sector, because the crisis began there and spread throughout the world, and of course, there is also comparing nonprofit sectors of Czech Republic and United States.

Comparative Analysis of WebArchiv of the National Library of the Czech Republic and Foreign Projects

(in English) The topic of the diploma thesis is to compare the WebArchiv with selected foreign Web Archives, which are responsible for preserving the national cultural heritage. The introduction briefly explains the history of Web Archives and typology of harvesting. Next parts deal with the history, legal aspects of archiving, selected types of harvesting, Web resources, systems, accessing and evaluation the Czech (WebArchiv), Australian (Pandora) and British archive (United Kingdom Web Archive). The text continues with an evaluation of the selected archives that mentions strong and weak properties and possible solutions. In conclusion, outlines the problematic aspects of archiving, which must be addressed in the future. [Author's abstract]

American - Russian Cooperation in the North Pacific Region

The topic of this Bachelor thesis is the American-Russian cooperation in the Northern Pacific area after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. The Pacific areas of both countries, Russian Far East and the west coast of the United States, are close to each other when it comes to geographic location, distance from the political center, history, culture and economy. Russian Far East has at its disposal non-renewable resources, the United States have the necessary capital and technologies for its development. As opposed to the Atlantic dimension of their mutual relations, in the Asian-Pacific region they have similar interests in the qustions of security. Their cooperation in this area thus offers both great potential and a number of pitfalls. This BA thesis analyses the possibilities, development and tendencies of their cooperation, at the background of the American_russian relations of the last twenty years. It focuses on security, ecological and economic aspects of mutual cooperation on both the governmental and regional level. Hotel Westside non-financial anti-crisis measures in 2008/2009

The goal of my thesis is to analyze anti-crisis measures of the hotel Westside located in the United States of America. The first chapter explains theoretical approaches to crisis and its impacts. It depicts crisis management approaches to successful crisis managing. In the next part of my thesis I look closer at the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis. I tried to show details of subprime mortgage crisis spreading into the financial sector and also its impacts on tourism industry. The last chapter of my thesis compares theoretical approaches with the real steps in the crisis. After analyzing the real hotel behavior, I can conclude the hotel managed the crisis successfully. Right identification of the crisis, choosing effective price strategy and additional financial resource utilization contributed to smooth managing of the crisis. There were mistakes made by human resources department. They made the impact of the crisis on the hotel bigger but their realizing taught the management of the hotel how to behave in the future.

Motivation as a tool of performance management

This diploma thesis addresses the question of work motivation, while it focuses on employee performance
as a key factor in performance management. The thesis
is divided into two parts.
The first part was processed as a literature review
of scientific resources. This part explains the basic concepts like the theory of motivation or historic evolution of management styles, human resource management, motivation, efficiency and incentive programs. Furthermore we can find explanation of such terms as job performance and some specific methods
of evaluation of job performances in this theoretical part.
The second part, which is the practical part
of the thesis, focuses on the selected company Mall.cz where a brief description of company's history is provided, as well as its business plan and structure
of the company. We can also find the basic overview
of those motivational factors that are used as a support
for the performance management. The analyzed survey focuses on the perception of the company and loyalty, working environment and interpersonal relationships, personal development and support of the employees, benefits and monetization and motivation to change.
The outputs and outcomes are described in forms
of various charts for better understanding. The detailed plan for improvement was conducted based on the findings of the described survey.

Publicistic style elements in czech television'documentary series "13th chamber"

The aim of my thesis is to define the publicistic style elements of characteristics within Czech television's documentary series "13th Chamber". The analysis section is based on episodes that were broadcasted within the first five years of the series between 2006- 2011. I found that the program has more features of a television journalism program than a television documentary in which the creators claimed. The project is a typical example of the terminological genre confusion of Czech television. In the theoretical section of my thesis, the concepts of television journalism, television documentary, television format and the differences of cycle and television series are discussed in detail. In context with the theme, I have designed a program structure in which the principle production, choice of topics, individuals parts and authors who participated in the preparation and shooting are involved. The program structure includes a practical component with specific parts in which I discuss the pre-defined publicistic elements. These elements are mandatory especially given structure, the presence of journalists, expert talks, the use of comments and interviews. Postavení SO ORP Kraje Vysočina v kontextu vybraných demografických, ekonomických a sociálních ukazatelů

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the demographic, economic a social indicators in the local district of region Vysocina in 2007 and 2013. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on a literary review of resources with the description of economic, demographic and social indicators. In practical part local districts were divided by cluster analysis into clusters, in which economic situation, demographic characteristics and social situation were assesed. According to the findings of the evaluation, regions were divided into different clusters, from strongest to weakest. Recommendations for improvement in underdeveloped regions are made in the end of the thesis.
