This bachelor's thesis Annotated Translation: La phonétique (J, Vaissière, 2006, Paris, PUF) is composed of two main parts. The first part presents a translation of the selected chapters of the book La phonétique written by Jacqueline Vaissière. The text was translated from the French language into the Czech language. The second part is a commentary consisting of an analysis of the original text and a description of the methods of translation and the most significant problems of translation that occurred during the translation process. The submitted bachelor thesis Commented translation: Das Wort und seine Strahlung. Über Poesie und ihre Übersetzung consists of a practical and a theoretical part. In the practical one the translation of selected chapters of the book Das Wort und seine Strahlung is presented. This is a collection of essays concerning poetry translation that deal not only with translatability of lyrics but also e.g. with its origin. The theoretical part is focused on a translation analysis of the original German text, familiarises with used translation strategies and commented on the particular shifts that arose during the translation.

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to translate Chapter 10 - Mirror Worlds - from George Basalla's book Civilized Life in the Universe: Scientists on Intelligent Extraterrestrials. This thesis includes the translation and the source text, as well as a commentary on the translation. The commentary theoretically reflects the translation process and is divided into four parts. The first part contains an analysis of the source text and potential translation problems. The second part describes the selected translation method and also comments on the differences between the source and the target communication situation. The third part comprises typology and solution to the translation problems. The fourth part describes the shifts that have been made in the course of the translation process. The aim of this thesis is to translate the text Queer Fiction - The Ambiguous Emergence of a Genre and make a commentary. The commentary is divided into four parts. The first one is an analysis of the source text, it is followed by a description of the method of translation I used. The third part threats the main problems I faced while translating, including their solution and their explanations. In the final part, I analyse shifts between the original and translated texts.

The object of this bachelor thesis is to translate the first chapter called A history of seduction from Mark Tungate's Fashion brands: branding style from Armani to Zara and to describe theoretically the process. The thesis is comprised of three fundamental parts - translation, commentary and the attached source text. The commentary is divided into four parts. The first one contains an analysis of the source text for the purpose of translation, the second part describes the selected translation method and the relation between the translated text and the original communication situation. The third part of the commentary comprises typology of the problems that occurred during the process of translation and the last part describes the necessary shifts that have been made in the translation.

Abstract This thesis is dedicated to a specific type of literary film art called rather innovatively in the paper as "a fictive screenplay". It is a literary work of art which uses different forms established as a basis for a transformation of a written art to a film: film thesis, libretto, literary or technical scenario. So called "fictive scenarios" are different from other creations of this type primarily by the apparent intention of the author to see them as a complete piece of art in its printed form without any ambitions or actual need for subsequent realization of its film version. The composition of the paper is based on a study of the relevant materials and is divided into three parts. The first part covers a compilation of texts collected by screen editor Kurt Pinthus in the 1910's (Das Kinobuch, the oldest Czech "fictive scenarios"). The second part covers film-related literary art pieces created by the Czech avant-garde in the 1920's. (Fictive scenario as a form of the Czech avant-garde.)
