Czech of a Non-native Speaker (case study)

The thesis Czech of a Non-Native Speaker is a case study which analyses the use of the Czech language by a non-native speaker coming from Kazakhstan. It contains an introduction which deals with the theory of second language acquisition and the importance of language transfer in this field. The second part of the thesis analyses the errors in several written and spoken texts (resp. their transcripts). Errors are analyzed from a phonetic, morphologic, grammatical, lexicological and syntactic perspective, they will be described and explained with an emphasis on the influence of interference. The conclusion summarizes the results of the analysis.

Ideology in the language of media:Means of handling news topics in the Czech print media

Lydie Kárníková Ideology in the Language of Media Diploma thesis 2011 Abstract The thesis scrutinizes the ways in which three Czech nationwide print media process the same news topics. Through analysis of three thematic discourses it studies the differences in approaching and presenting reality. The main focus lies in the argumentative and language aspects of the media texts with the aim to find implicit references on sets of values and beliefs typical for the perspective of the particular news media title and for the society in general. Implicit sets of values woven into the media contents have a form of an ideology: These ideological ideas can be very different across the society due to the number of opinion groups present within the whole society. In modern democratic countries with opinion plurality there are different ideological ideas neighbouring within the media market. The news as a genre does not allow expressing one's own opinion or approach explicitly: the news media thus embed their opinions into the structures of language. Perception of guilt by offenders

This thesis deals with psychological aspects of perception of guilt by convicted offenders. In the theoretical part are introduced various definitions of guilt, guilt as a process concluding with forgiveness and guilt as social emotion. This theisis is also about the specifity of perception of guilt by the convicted offenders. The experimental part of the thesis explores how the offenders perceive their guilt from their own perspective based on the components of guilt - remorse, regret, responsibility, failure, tension and redemption.

Early-teenage mothers in institutional care

My diploma thesis focuses on a problem of teenage mothers. The first part is conceived more generally and with the help of literature. In the second part I put emphasis mainly on mothers, who have to, for various reasons, spend the beginning of their motherhood under the institutional care for problematic youth. I tried to survey the specific features of this group of teenage mothers, using a short intership in one of the institutions in our country and via interviews I was conducting with them. The aim was to reveal their own perspective on the situation in which they found themselves and also to map the level of assistance that can be provided by the institutional care. The result of my work is a description of the girls' current situation from different point of view and their own vision of the future.

Between Biology and Law, notes to the anthropology of institution The aim of this text is to describe and to understand, how the biology, exactly human ethology works with the term human nature. The question is, if the theory of law could profit from the cooperation with human ethologic thinking, if the human ethology could be used as the background of nature law theories. Answering the question can be essential for the discussions about human rights. The first part describes the paradigms of classical and Neo-Darwinism ethology to compare these with the traditional concept of human nature in philosophy. Using anthropology of law (Hoebel, Pospíšil, Wesel) the explication accents the system of reciprocal obligation as a base of law. This point allows bringing some critical notes to the relevance of ethologic research for the theory of law. In the second part there are discussed four fields of human ethology research - territorial, competitive and anti-competitive, family behaviour, which are relevant for the property law, criminal law and family law. The reader can evaluate by himself the differences between the human ethology and social science perspectives.

Les applications, du moins de quelques uns de ces concepts de la biologie évolutionnaire à la problématique de la réalité socioéconomique ne représentent cependant rien de nouveau même si elles se manifestent dans chaque discipline par un intense intérêt. Tandis que la perspective évolutionnaire de l"économie moderne se développe au cours des dix dernières années, la même inspiration pour la problématique de la géographie socioéconomique, ou plutôt du développement régional, est beaucoup plus récente. Le nombre de géographes sociaux qui se tournent avec intérêt vers l"économie évolutionnaire pourtnant augmente considérablement. Même s"il est pour l"instant prématuré de marquer la situation actuelle comme le glissement du paradigme, selon Boschma et Martin (2007), « evolutionary turn » devient de plus en plus important dans cette discipline et la géographie économique à orientation...

Cíl práce: Zdokumentovat a analyzovat reklamní prostory a média využívaná v zimních stadionech české hokejové extraligy. Pomocí dotazování zjistit názory vybraných vedoucích pracovníků extraligových klubů na současnou situaci v extralize a marketingu klubu. Vytvořit model marketingově optimálního hokejového stadionu. Metody: Pro získání potřebných dat použiji metodu pozorování pro dokumentaci reklamních nosičů na zimních stadionech. Dále použiji metodu dotazování ve formě interview a elektronického dotazování. Získaná data porovnám metodou komparace. Výsledky: Prezentují marketingové komunikační možnosti zimních stadionů, resp. reklamní média využívaná v halách stadionů a arén. Dále předkládají názory vybraných manažerů na současný stav v české extralize a marketing svého klubu. Ze získaných informací vytvářejí model zimního stadionu s optimálními komunikačními podmínkami. The automatic image as a translation of life-world

The automatic image as a translation oj life-world The author's aim is to trace down the basic tendencies of phenomenality, introduced into the lifeworld by means of the automatic image, by understending this medium as a translation of the style of appearing of beings. He joins the critique of the modem understanding of being as the presence in the consciousness of subject and discems a parallel between the modem repraesentatio and the photographic image. By criticising the conception od V. Flusser, the paper (meanwhile negatively) disawovs the possibility of eliminating the corporeity and the non-positivity of meaning by means of the photographic image. The paper then analyses the specific space oj the image as this is its medium of revealing. This pictorial space is principally determinned by perspective projection, yet this is what eliminates the corporeity (chair) of both recipient and the world - and due to this the non-positivity of the field of appearence of things. Newertheless the projection preserves the topologic dimension of the space of the image. The autor then focuses on the Merleau-Ponty' s conception of "vertical Being" and attempts to trace down the relation between the topologic arrangement and the chiasma of perceptive perspectives. Political ideas of Bohumil Laušman in the years 1941-1944

Socialdemocratic parties played a very important role in the tactics of communists in the countries of Sovieťs interest after the World War II. It was based on cooperation with social democrats and then on "unification" of both of the "labour" parties in conditions of so called popular, respectively national fronts. The very beginning of these cooperations could have started in the middle ofthe year 1941 after the US SR had entered the War. The initiation to cooperation of the left-wing partie s was coming out of the "left-wing" fraction of social democrats in London's exile at that time. Its representative was Boumil Laušman, whose obvious left-wing tendency and non-constructive behaviour are possible to be seen after the failure of his political formation of Czechoslovakia's resistance movement in Paris and London. So he left in the middle of the year 1942 to the USSR to get to know c10ser the political ideas of the representatives of the Czechoslovakia' s resistance living there, possibly to get their politi cal support.
