Lydie Kárníková Ideologie v jazyce médií Diplomová práce 2011 Anotace (abstrakt) Práce rozebírá způsoby, jakým tři české celostátní deníky zpracovávají totožná zpravodajská témata. Na třech vybraných tematických diskurzech demonstruje rozdílnost v nahlížení a prezentování skutečnosti. Zaměřuje se na argumentační a jazykové aspekty mediálních textů s cílem vyhledat implicitní odkazy na soubory hodnot a přesvědčení, které vypovídají o perspektivě média i o celkovém hodnotovém nastavení společnosti. Implicitní soubory hodnot vetkané do mediálních obsahů představují ideologii svého druhu. Tyto ideologické představy se ale mohou napříč společností lišit vzhledem k množství názorových skupin, které vedle sebe v rámci společenského celku existují. V moderních demokratických společnostech s právně zajištěnou názorovou pluralitou se tak na mediálním trhu setkávají různé ideologické představy. Z povahy zpravodajského žánru ale jednotlivé texty nemohou obsahovat explicitně vyřčené soudy a názory: Svá přesvědčení a postoje tak zpravodajská média kódují do struktur jazyka. Základní hypotézou práce je schopnost jazyka utvářet významy. Prostřednictvím metodologie kombinující argumentační rozbor s analýzou syntaktických a lexikálních prostředků se snaží dostat do jazykových struktur, najít skryté tendence a definovat... Lydie Kárníková Ideology in the Language of Media Diploma thesis 2011 Abstract The thesis scrutinizes the ways in which three Czech nationwide print media process the same news topics. Through analysis of three thematic discourses it studies the differences in approaching and presenting reality. The main focus lies in the argumentative and language aspects of the media texts with the aim to find implicit references on sets of values and beliefs typical for the perspective of the particular news media title and for the society in general. Implicit sets of values woven into the media contents have a form of an ideology: These ideological ideas can be very different across the society due to the number of opinion groups present within the whole society. In modern democratic countries with opinion plurality there are different ideological ideas neighbouring within the media market. The news as a genre does not allow expressing one's own opinion or approach explicitly: the news media thus embed their opinions into the structures of language. The core hypothesis of this thesis is the ability of language to create meanings.
