Gastronomy of Spain

The aim of the thesis is to point out the importance of Spanish gastronomy for the tourism of the country and not only by using the one another connection between gastronomy and tourism, but also by characterization of typical features of Spanish cuisine and mentioning regional gastronomic differences, which contribute to its diversity. In the theoretical part of the thesis there is described the relationship between tourism and gastronomy. Gastronomy is not only one of the basic elements, which support the tourism of Spain, but it is also important for the related industries. There are mentioned basic geographical information, history of the country so as history of Spanish gastronomy. The thesis describes typical habits and traditions connected with food. The gastronomic differences of particular autonomous regions and their typical dishes and product are important too. The thesis deals with todays newest gastronomic trends in Spanish gastronomy, which influence it pretty much. It is especially the molecular gastronomy, fusion food, slow food, showcooking. The association Saborear Espaňa ("Taste Spain") cares for the advertisement of Spanish gastronomy abroad and tries to promote the national cuisine, typical products and wine routes among the foreign tourists.

Trading on Internet Auctions

Diploma thesis entitled Trading on Internet Auctions deals with the analysis and comparison of important international and Czech internet auctions. Under examination are not only important auctions in terms of number of users, but also those that surpass other interesting business solutions and innovative thinking. The diploma thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter, entitled Establishment and Development of e-commerce describes the most important events and milestones for the development of e-commerce and the subsequent emergence of online auctions. The second chapter is specifically devoted to the analysis and comparison of foreign auction sites. The third chapter focused attention on the Czech auction sites, including the legal aspects that are related to trading on internet auctions. The whole thesis ends by conclusion and evaluation of reaching the given object.

Geekcom/Nerdcom - the situation comedy of the 21st century

This thesis focuses on geeks and nerds, their representations in sitcoms, as well as creation of geekcom and nerdcom concepts, i.e. the comedy about geeks and nerds. The thesis has two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part examines the sitcom genre, its use of stereotypes and the ways of represetation, along with the differences between the American and British approaches to sitcom production and form. The last part of the theoretical section contains a summary of different approaches to the topic of geeks and nerds, the development of these terms, relevant stereotypes, and products created by and for geeks and nerds. American sitcom The Big Bang Theory and British sitcom IT Crowd are the subjects of the semiotic and narrative analysis. The outcome of the thesis is a geekcom and nerdcom model, a comprehensive summary of information about geeks and nerds and their media representations. Theory and practice of Czech bilingual specialized dictionaries

The thesis deals with the theory and practice of bilingual specialized lexicography, with special focus on the production of bilingual specialized dictionaries intended for Czech users. The main objective is to propose an original methodology for the compilation of Czech-English and EnglishCzech LSP dictionaries (with possible application to other foreign languages). The methodology aims at the introduction of the latest trends in pedagogical lexicography, as presented in the leading ESL dictionaries, into specialized lexicography. The thesis is complete with an original lexicographic project illustrating the individual points made. The initial part of the thesis discusses of the main aspects and principles of the discipline of specialized lexicography, clarifying the basic concepts and comparing the state of research in the Western countries with the situation in the Czech Republic. This critical overview is followed by an analysis of the character of Czech bilingual specialized dictionaries based on a sample of 25 recently published dictionaries of a wide variety of subject fields. Transfer of stylistic components of political speeches in simultaneous interpreting: research on French-Czech documents

Tématem této diplomové práce Je stylová složka řečnických projevů politického zaměření a problematika jejího převodu při simultánním tlumočení z francouzštiny do češtiny. Práce je teoreticko empirická. V první části se pokusíme definovat a charakterizovat zkoumaný žánr s ohledem na faktory, které mají vliv na průběh mezijazykového převodu. Zaměříme se zejména na pragmatické aspekty řečnických projevů a na možnost existence rozdílů mezi nimi v závislosti na jazyce a na kulturně jazykové příslušnosti řečníka. Vycházíme z předpokladu, že mezi francouzštinou a češtinou existují rozdíly ve způsobu vyjádření subjektivních postojů autora prostřednictvím stylisticky příznakových, expresivních jazykových prostředků. Domníváme se, že ve francouzských řečnických projevech se expresivní a emocionální složka projevuje častěji a s větší intenzitou. Projevy českých řečníků jsou naopak stylisticky neutrálnější. Naším cílem je tuto hypotézu ověřit. Repertoár prostředků subjektivně motivované aktualizace výrazu je velmi bohatý, od prostředků mimojazykových (posturika, proxemika) přes parajazykové (intonace, melodie) až po verbální. After-war economic crisis in the Weimar republic and the Dawes plan

The subject of this thesis is purposed to characterize both economic and political progress in Weimar republic since the end of World War I till the middle twenties. In this respect, it is a period when Germany, after several years of war struggle ending up as a defeated country, was raving in economic and internal political crisis and also had to face up a diplomatic isolation connected with tough peace conditions from Versailles. The main focus of this study is to analyze German economic depression contextualized with crucial historic events against background of then international diplomacy. Economic analysis is connected especially with explanation of huge hyperinflation, synchronous theoretic hypothesis that formed economic policy of German governments and their comparison with modern monetary economics. Being analyzed are not only causes of depression based in long-term debt funding of war, uncovered money emission and necessity of high reparation payments, but also the process and the way of its termination and overall consequences both political and socioeconomic. After abandonment of inflation episode follows solution of reparation payments adjustment which was necessary for future stabilization of Weimar Republic and final termination of German crisis. The way to stability was provided by London Conference and Dawes plan which are both analyzed in the last part of this thesis.

New Housing Production after 1989

The aim of this Diploma thesis is a survey and analysis of housing productin in broader context of transformation period after 1989. The basis of this paper are the expert opinions published in a domestic and a foreign literature. Fundamental method of my research is secundary data analysis published mainly by the ČSÚ and the Eurostat. Although the dominant theme of this paper is housing production, sufficient space is dedicated to the factors, that are influencing it, like historical development, regional, housing, social and economic policies, economic process, society structure, other economical faktors and many more. Extra focus is dedicated to the present problems of housing, particularly to the condition of concrete blocks of flats, on the first sight the most intensive legacy of the past.

The influence of the location of buildings on price and cost of a building

The thesis deals with the influence of the location of buildings on the price and the cost of a building. In the first theoretical part it deals with brownfields, redevelopment of geological environment and construction and demolition waste. In this passage the various concepts, their division, the legislative side of things and generally their problems are explained. The second part is practical, it analyzes the cost associated with the revitalization of abandoned buildings for the possibility of reuse of land. For these purposes the representative brownfield is created and it is set in different environment. In conclusion all important findings are summarized.

Construction Order Preparation and Management in Construction Company

This thesis explains a theme of construction order preparation an management in construction company. Introductory part o thesis is focused on general specification of construction projects and other related therms. Next part o my diploma thesis deals with construction order preparation. I paid the main attention to process of choosing subcontractors and managing of construction order, I applied my gained knowledge to particular construction site in practical part of thesis. I created all the necessary documents for proper construction preparation, including time schedule, oranizational plan, financial plan and construction site layout plan. The last part is the evaluation of the results and comparing them with real case.

The analysis of the U.S. external economic balance.

The theme of this Bachelor thesis is an analysis of the U.S. external economic balance. The first part deals with characteristic of external economic balance and balance of payments. In the next part there are named basic elements of the balance of payments and their reporting ability. At the end of the first part is defined the foreign investment position and are given important indicators for evaluating the sustainability of the external balance. In the second part the attention is paid to the analysis of the balance of payments, international investment position and U.S. external debt. The aim of this work is to determine the shape of the U.S. external economic balance.
