Kos, Tomáš ; Babin, Jan (advisor) ; Rod, Aleš (referee)
This bachelor thesis: Consequences of recrictive policy in the time of crisis (on the example of contraproductive government of Petr Nečas) tries to examine the fiscal policy applicated in the Czech republic in years between 2010 and 2013, at the time of the economic crisis. This thesis is motivated by reserch question: What impact had the fiscal policy applicated by the government on the economy of the Czech republic? I created econometric models by using data of Český statistický úřad and Česká národní banka. Regarding these econometric models, the fiscal policy had negative impact on GDP, that had downward sloping trend. The negative impact was confirmed even on the unemployment, that had been rising, and also on the inflation, which was forced under the inflation target of Česká národní banka by the fiscal policy.

Global Economic Outlook - February 2017
Česká národní banka
The February issue of Global Economic Outlook presents the regular monthly overview of recent and expected developments in selected territories, focusing on key economic variables: inflation, GDP growth, leading indicators, interest rates, exchange rates and commodity prices. In this issue, we tend to explore analytically the effect of (un)conventional monetary policy measures on shadow interest rates in the euro area and the USA. Based on our estimates, we show in this article that the effect of monetary policy measures on shadow rates differs depending on whether they were aimed at stabilising financial markets or further easing monetary conditions. We also indicate how the effects of measures taken by central banks can change depending on the current level of financial stress.

Economic impacts of development of graduate unemployment on the national economy of Czech Republic
Jirský, Aleš ; Urbánková, Erika (advisor) ; Jitka, Jitka (referee)
The presented thesis addresses the challenges associated with the development of graduate unemployment and its impact on the national economy. Graduates are taken as one of the vulnerable groups in the labor market. Their lack of work experience and low employee morale threatens their possible applicability in the labor market. The underlying data was taken from the Czech Statistical Office and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, which were monitored over a time horizon of ten years. The observation was focused on development of total number of graduates, altogether with total number of vacancies intended for them I have analyzed the state's spending on national employment policy and structure. Furthermore, I examined the number of graduates in relation to the total number of graduates, who should show their adaptability in the labor market. Another outcome was to build an econometric model which I've confronted with economic theory obtained by studying the literature review. The resulting outputs confirmed 3 of 4 theoretical assumptions. The only prerequisite was not met and that the increased number of graduates did not significantly affect the overall unemployment rate.

Ekonomické efekty reformy Nového Zélandu
Varga, Peter ; Urban, Luděk (advisor) ; Chalupníček, Pavel (referee)
New Zealand has gone through remarkable reforms which have encompassed of wide range of government policies which have changed the incentives in private and public sector. This article tries to show the development of New Zealand economy before reform period, shows development of the reforms and tries to assess the economic effects of these reforms. First it analyses the effects in the primary sector, where it defines primary sector as itself and then analyses the incentives that have changed the sector output and conditions. Next the firm dynamics is being analysed as per the effects of the reforms. It is shown that first in some sectors the output proportion in GDP is lowering because of reforms were being made, later it shows this proportion to be rising again. Last, the view is made in effects analysis in labour market, where it has been found, that labour productivity is not growing enough, so the reforms were made too agresively. Next part of this article analyses macroeconomic effects such as public debt, which in brutto has been lowered through reforms to less than 30% of New Zealand GDP. First, inflation which was few years after reforms still in very high rates, but in 1990s it has been reduced well. And finaly the GDP growth itself, where it has been found out, that New Zealand has sacrifised a part of its GDP amount for agressive and fast reforms. Overlooking the period and its effects it has to be said that New Zealand has now a great market economy with transparent public sector, and the sacrifises were probably worth it.
