Diplomová práce se zabývá hodnocením hospodářského a sociálního rozvoje okresů Příbram a Benešov za období let 2009-2014. V literární rešerši jsou objasněny základní pojmy související s regionálním rozvojem a regionální politikou. Praktická část je věnována charakteristice zvolených regionů a analýze vybraných indikátorů hospodářského a sociálního rozvoje, mezi které patří demografický vývoj, občanská vybavenost, bytová výstavba, technická infrastruktura, dopravní infrastruktura, cestovní ruch, ekonomické subjekty a trh práce. Následuje vyhodnocení terénního šetření realizovaného na území okresů, které se společně s výsledky analýz stalo podkladem pro zpracování SWOT analýzy. V závěru práce jsou na základě zjištěných poznatků vytvořeny návrhy a doporučení dalšího rozvoje těchto regionů. The thesis deals with evaluation of economic and social development of Příbram and Benešov District during 2009-2014. The literature review explains basic terms related to regional development and regional policy. The practical part is devoted to characteristic of selected regions and analysis of selected indicators of economic and social development, including demographic development, public facilities, housing construction, technical infrastracture, transport infrastracture, tourism, economic entities and labour market. Next is evaluation of the field research, which is implemented in the districts. The evaluation and the results of the analysis were resource materials for SWOT analysis. In the conclusion there are made suggestions and recommendations of further develompent of the regions. This is based on findings.
