Cloud computing using a hierarchical component system
Kučera, Tomáš ; Hnětynka, Petr (advisor) ; Kofroň, Jan (referee)
Cloud computing is nowadays a popular computing paradigm. Computers are interconnected via network and jointly offer a lot of computing performance. SOFA 2 is a hierarchical component system offering a distributed run-time environment; therefore, it is a suitable environment for cloud computing. Applications are composed from components; each component may run on different computer in the `cloud'. The deployment of the components influences the overall performance of the application and the utilization of resources in the `cloud'; therefore, it has to be planned carefully. In this thesis, an algorithm for automated deployment planning of hierarchical component-based applications is proposed and further implemented in the SOFA 2 system. The algorithm incorporates components' demands and machines' resources in order to maximize performance of the deployed applications. The thesis also proposes and implements extensions that allow using the SOFA 2 component system as an actual cloud platform.

Storage for relaxed objects
Danihelka, Michal ; Kopecký, Michal (referee) ; Žemlička, Michal (advisor)
In object model is standardly to each object assigned one class which defines not only the object data but also the methods working with these data. This approach is not practical in dynamic heterogeneous environment. There is a significant problem with real data homogenity. The known data about some objects are different than about the others. The number of accessible information can change in time too. Despite these facts the maximal possible functionality have to be offered. In this thesis there will be designed an object model in Java, which can work with such a various data. The objects are not explicitly assigned to classes, but the election of methods which can be called on the concrete object depends on accessibility and values of object's attributes. The emphasis will be put on easy of use and high resistance againts errors caused during development and execution of applications. To prove the usability of relaxed objects model the design of an application will be part of this work. The most important parts of model and application will be implemented.

The Issues of Correct Implementation of ERP System for a Small Company
Conicov, Andrei ; Žemlička, Michal (referee) ; Ulrych, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to describe the architecture of an ERP system, clearly define the tasks it has to solve and as a result emphasize the differences between ERP for large and small size companies. It is important to understand that the requirements and possibilities of these two types of organizations are different and as a result the SW also has to be different. ERP systems are complex and in order to understand them, in some cases, I explain general concepts, which cover the pivot points of the ERP architecture. This papers' aim is not to describe the final architecture of an ERP system because it is a very complex software (SW) product. It just analyzes the clients' needs and the technical possibilities in order to be able to create an ERP system that will face the demands of small enterprises (SE); this is achieved by defining and describing points that should be taken in consideration. In some cases I am trying to offer possible solutions and tips to the encountered problems.

Foltýnek, Tomáš ; Kalibera, Tomáš (referee) ; Majerech, Vladan (advisor)
This work is a research on Test-Driven Development (TDD), the existing literature about TDD and techniques used for implementing TDD with particular focus on the system NUnit (www.nunit.org). The primary goal was to design and implement system suitable for testing software modules, which would be backward compatible with NUnit 2.2. The designed system should implement support for testing modules that run in parallel environment, performance testing and detailed analysis of errors in modules. The work includes a console application that allows running selected tests in automated fashion. Test results as an output of this application are stored in the XML format suitable for further processing. The work also includes a GUI application that gives users interactive access to tests. This application offers a list of available tests, lets users to run selected individual tests or their groups and presents results of running tests in the graphical form. The work should include the user guide, technical specification of the designed system and the source code of all implemented modules in the language C#.
