The literary character of Don Juan in French literature from classicism to romanticism
Kareta, Filip ; Jamek, Václav (advisor) ; Pohorský, Aleš (referee)
Bachelor thesis of Don Juan as a character in French literature from the period of Classicism to the period of Romanticism. The thesis is mainly focused on development and transformation of Don Juan's character in literature from the 17th to the mid 19th century. For the Classicism period, the author chose the comparative method, taking Molière's Don Juan character as a pivotal figure of the Don Juan myth. In the 18th century Don Juan does not appear in the literature but the author found similar features from the libertines of that period and therefore he compares the character of Don Juan to Valmont in his work. Romantic authors like to return to the topic of Don Juan and he appears in short stories and poems. The author presents various concepts of romantic Don Juan with emphasis on new features which were added by many individual writers. The conclusion of Bachelor Thesis is devoted to Don Juan as a mythical figure and it's comparison with Tristan.

Utraquism and Orthodoxy
Jukl, Jakub ; Wernisch, Martin (advisor) ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (referee) ; Boček, Pavel (referee)
In our dissertation we will examine the relationships between the Czech Hussites and Utraquists on the one hand and the Orthodox Church on the other. First we will present a representative survey of opinions, according to which Hus and the Hussites continued the tradition of Orthodoxy established in our land by Cyril and Methodius. We will see whether this theory can be justified. We will further ascertain whether Jan Hus and Jerome of Prague can be considered as Orthodox. At the same time we will try to answer the question of whether it is possible to consider these two "martyrs of Constance" as Orthodox saints. We will also ascertain to what extent the Orthodox practice of administering the Eucharist under both kinds played a role in the introduction of the chalice for the laity by Jakoubek of Stříbro. Similarly, we will consider the same issue in relation to administering the Eucharist to children. We will also devote attention to the veneration of SS. Cyril and Methodius by the Hussites. We will analyse Hussite ecclesiology, especially those parts of it which might throw light on the relationship of the Hussites to the Orthodox Church. And we will look at how this relationship manifested itself in practice - for example in an interest in the Eastern Church or the ordination of priests by Orthodox...

Organizational climate and job satisfaction
Ke zpracování předložené disertační práce "Organizační klima a pracovní spokojenost" mě vedly dva hlavní důvody. Prvním důvodem byla pociťovaná potřeba širšího teoretického zpracování problematiky organizačního klimatu a pracovní spokojenosti a potřeba reflektovat velmi "uvolněné" užívání těchto pojmů v poradenské i řídící praxi, se kterým se již dlouhá léta setkávám. Druhým důvodem tematického zaměření práce je můj profesní zájem, kterým je problematika řízení lidí. Zpracování tématu v rámci této oblasti mi umožnilo uplatnit teoretické znalosti i poznatky z praxe řízení organizací. Pojem klima v souvislosti s...

Criminal defences in Czech and Irish criminal law
Kubíčková, Tereza ; Vokoun, Rudolf (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
Criminal defences in Czech and Irish criminal law This thesis deals with the analysis of individual elements of criminal defences under the Czech and Irish criminal legal statutes with respect to the conclusions, which are therefrom drawn in theory and practice. The aim of this thesis is to render an overview concerning the distinctions and similarities in understanding, importance and operating of the defences in different law systems, rather than to present an exhaustive commentary on all legal institutes which exclude illegality and as such come into mind. Regarding the fact that Czech and Irish systems of law are subsumed under different legal systems, particular institutes of criminal defences cannot be based on the same rules, principles and theoretical grounds. It shall be noted, that while Czech criminal law is mainly to be found in a single piece of legislation known as the Criminal Law Act, Irish criminal law on the other hand not only has a separate statutory legislation, but also mainly depends on common law. The subject has been processed under consideration of the present-day legal regulation, whereas particular legal institutes are structured in compliance with the structure of the Czech Criminal Law Act. The topics of origin and development of defences has intentionally not been...

Šteidlová, Kateřina ; MACHKOVÁ, Eva (advisor) ; SCHWARZOVÁ, Kateřina (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with an analysis and comparison of dramatizations of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame, a book which ranks among the British children's classics. The paper examines to what extent the dramatizations correspond to the book, whether and why they deviate from the original text, and what consequences these changes have. The thesis focuses on four dramatizations – a play by Alan Alexander Milne called Toad of Toad Hall, Alfa Theatre production of The Wind in the Willows, a Walt Disney short animated film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, and Terry Jones´s adaptation of The Wind in the Willows to a feature film. In the thesis, firstly the book and then the dramatizations are analyzed in terms of the theme and genre, characters, setting, composition and language use. Subsequently, the dramatizations are examined and compared with regards to the transformation processes – selection, condensation, substitution, amplification, and changes in composition and language. In the final chapter, I summarize my findings and draw the conclusion.

1 Abstract/ Financial derivatives The purpose of this thesis is to provide an introduction to financial derivatives which has been, from the legal perspective, described in a not satisfactory manner as quite little literature that can be found about this topic. The last objective is to try to draft future law regulation of financial derivatives and to determine the guidelines that future legislation will follow. The thesis is divided into four chapters; a short introduction is followed by a chapter concerning the origin of financial derivatives. In this chapter we learn that financial derivatives originate from commodity derivatives, which have their origins in a period ages before Christ.
