Financial Management of Non-Profit Organizations

The Bachelor thesis focuses on financial management of non-profit organizations. The theoretical part defines the essence of financial management and non-profit organizations, basic forms and it describes the general development. Legislation containing chapters of establishing, functioning and liquidation of these organizations is introduced first followed by the financial management particular for non-profit organizations (eg. purposes, principles and tools of financial management). The further chapter list possible ways of fundraising with stress on approaching the donators. The remaining chapters introduce the problematics of public relations and manpower management from the point of viex of a non-profit organization. The practical part contains a small survey based on questionnaries targeted at nonprofit organizations. The survey focused on financial management and how the organizations deal with it. The questionnarie show that a great numer of non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic need systematical financial management and more information about this issue. Rehabilitation of the carpal tunnel syndrome

In the theoretical part the thesis gathers basic information on carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) - its etiology, pathophysiology and clinical picture. The thesis further describes the anatomy and function of hand following the CTS, the diagnosis of disease and treatment options. The thesis also presents possibilities of prevention when working with computers. In the practical part the thesis describes a case of a patient with the CTS disease and suggests using an appropriate treatment methods to postpone a surgery. For treatment application a female patient 36 years old diagnosed by a neurologist with severe stage of CTS has been selected. The patient completed 8 individual targeted therapies during four weeks with thorough investigations and various methods of treatment applied, particularly the mobilization, electrotherapy, thermotherapy including an auto-therapy brie-fing. The results showed that the therapy brought subjective and objecti-ve improvement and surgical treatment could be postponed. The impro-vement of subjective symptoms continues passing time interval after the physiotherapy. The practical part of this thesis has been limited by possible number of therapies as well as by the therapy duration.

Structural Funds utilization for development of microregion Nepomucko

This work analyses the possibility of using financial resources from European Union´s funds for benefit of tourism development in the microregion Nepomucko. As a part of this thesis I would like to find out what is the potential of this region in connection with tourism. Nepomucko is an interesting microregion in the western Bohemia which offer its nature and historical beauty. It´s able to attract visitors. This microregion has very good potential for development of rural tourism and therefore was created the design for the farm-house. That is why was one country estate renovated and used them in tourist trade. Each factor is analyzed in separate part, attention is also paid to financial resource, which is a important subject in the process. The aim of the study analysing finance and prosperity of this device and seems very optimistic. It evaluates, according to receipts and expenditures that this sort of tourism may be used for the development of tourism in this area. In Nepomucko there are posibilities for the future to target as facilities with hight quality, looking for a new segment of demand and using financial resources from European Union´s funds. Chances of the applicants in the West Bohemian region are suitable, they correspond with the resources of the ROP of the NUTS II SW. Regional policy of the European Union is a indispensable foundation of the development the tourist trade. Not only private subjects but also regions take advantage of using financial resources from European Union´s funds, because the winner takes it all.

Prescription action of Czech doctors in prescribing hormonal contraceptives

Bachelor Thesis "Prescription action of Czech doctors in prescribing hormonal contraceptives" disserts on quality of health care on the field of gynecological practice and prescription of a specific group of pharmaceuticals - hormonal contraceptives. The goal of this Thesis is to evaluate decision making and action of doctors in the context of current precautions related to hormonal contraception with regard to potential risks that may inappropriate prescription represent for female patients. The part of this evaluation is not only the investigation of the system in which the prescription takes place, but also the identification of the main factors that effect the doctor and his decision taking. Last but not least, the Thesis mentions the control mechanisms that monitor the prescription action of the doctor and the accordance of his decisions with recommended physician's prescriptions, legislation and common ethics. The Thesis is targeted mainly on risks related to prescription action anomal from these norms and tries to point out the importance of the correct prescription (suitable for the particular female patient and based on independent, professional knowledge) and its control from the point of view of the patient's health. I stress out the trends in society and the precise survey of direct competitive surrounding in external analysis. I focus on the key factors that indicate conditions in the company and the quality of offered services. According to realized outcomes, I identify present company strategies, suggest the possible changes and evaluate the attainability of company's goals.

Marketing and communication strategy for music contest Skutečná liga

The first theoretical part of the work describes in general marketing, marketing and communication strategies. The practical part is given to description of the music contest Skutečná liga, then to analysis of its target group, to analysis of its competition and of previous marketing and communication strategy. SWOT analysis is made up on the grounds of these researches. Particular, concrete recommendations with time-harmonogram building a new marketing and communication strategy were suggested according to the founded results.

Financing of non-profit organizations in the sport´s area - under specific conditions of the sports club TJ Sokol Dolni Pocernice

This thesis deals with problems of the non-profit organizations in the field of sports, especially with the civil associations. Main aim of the thesis is to present possibilities of the financial sources which would provide for exercising the sport activities. Another objective is to prove that the sport organizations cannot get along without the public support. The theoretical part focuses on the brief characteristics of particular forms of the non profit organizations and closer considers possibilities of financing the civil associations in the sport area. The applied part targets the concrete civil associations which act in the field of sports. Right after the short characteristics is the main focus given to the financial sources which function is to secure the organization's activity. At the conclusion there is undertaken the analysis of its economy during four years.

Information science provides useful tools and approaches to make possible understanding of complex situations in knowledge based economies of global information societies. This dissertation project is focused on information side of an investment activity. It's aim is to identify key information factors in developing successful investment strategy targeted on companies from "new economy". Dissertation traces information transfer from the perspective of main actors (investor, information manager) and gives full picture of a problem situation. Investor's information needs stem from his search for a corporate superstar. Information manager must adjust his work as much as possible to a corporate strategy and business operations of a given firm. If they succed in their information activities there's a high chance for investor and information manager to meet in a same company improving it's performance and success even further.

Bachelor thesis highlights the importance of the choice of business strategy necessary for the survival of company in the intensification of competitive health care. The specific case study of Biotherapy proves that without a comprehensive and effective marketing approach to the market is impossible to make a long-term successful business today. If the company wants not only to survive but also to thrive, it is essential that the recommendations arising from the theories of management and marketing are kept. Case study evaluated the actual current state of Biotherapy, by analyzing of the competitive environment and SWOT analysis has set targets for year 2010, highlighted the strengths and weaknesses and based on established facts proposed marketing strategy to achieve them. The case study also shows that as the outside world is constantly evolving, so is a continuing need for using modern marketing tools to find new ways to talk and to satisfy customer.
