Application for remote control of devices in smart home

The thesis analyzes current home automation trend with a brief historical context. It presents conception of Apple company and its platform iOS from the beginning of development to actual state. The thesis shortly compares differences between programming language Objective-C and a new language Swift. It describes emerging framework HomeKit which was created to control smart appliances at homes. In practical part of the thesis there is designed mobile application running iOS platform that controls real smart devices at homes with HomeKit framework. Application is created in Swift programming language and is inserted as a component of this thesis.

Contemporary Mayan poetry

At the beginning of this study, we try to include the contemporary mayan poetry written on the Yucatán Peninsula into the mexican literature context. We adopt a postmodern view which applies special features as texts written in spanglish or the indigenous literary stream in order to produce an image of a border as a creative space. In the following chapter some statistics about actual situation of yucatec maya language are presented. Further we mention the differences between the yucatec literature written in spanish since the beginning of the 20th century and the mayan literature. In the case of the latter one we have enclosed a definition of the mayan literature written in spanish, because it is the major topic of this work. It is based on the fact that the bilingual authors use to write in the mayan language and later they make translations of their own texts. Consequently we bring a brief presentation of a historical review of mayan filology, putting emphasis on the eighties of the 20th century, when the most important steps towards this renascence were done. This part is completed by the opinion of a contemporary poet Cocom Pech, observing the changes and the media impact on this cultural phenomenon after the inssurection of zapatistas. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to prepare a business plan for a children's party planner agency and evaluate the real economic advantage. Thematically, the thesis is divided into two parts. The first part includes theoretical background, basic characteristics and principles for drawing up the plan. The second chapter is a practical part, which forms the actual business plan according to the structure described in the theoretical section. It contains a brief description of the company (vision, mission, goals), details of the service portfolio, PEST analysis, marketing and financial plans. The financial plan also covers an assessment of the startup costs of the project. The end of the chapter provides a SWOT analysis and proposals to reduce and eliminate the found weaknesses and threats.

Charity mission in the Spectrum of Social Services in Havlíčkův Brod

Anglická anotace "Charity mission in the spectrum of social services in Havlíčkův Brod" Author of tis bachelor thesis shows that the mission of Charity services in the administration of Regional Charity Havlíčkův Brod has an irreplaceable position in the spectrum of social services in the town of Havlíčkův Brod. This is illustrated by using the detailed listing of social services provided by individual providers of social services in the Register of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, which corresponds with actual situation and conclusions found in questionnaire survey among emploees and clients of the Regional Charity Havlíčkův Brod and regional management representatives of other providers of social services. Brief summary of recorded knowledge can be noted that, in contrast to other providers of social services, the Regional Charity offers exclusive range of social services and pay attention to fulfilling the spiritual needs resulting from the mission Charity services as such. Analysis of the web sites of the branch of Informatics, the new design

In the thesis, I deal with the problems of presentation of information provided on the web sites of the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics of The University of Economics, Prague. The work is focused on the appropriate presentation of information from both visual and structural aspects. Furthermore, I deal with the issues of electronic information sources analysis and quality evaluations. I result from a general theory of presentation and I proceed according to the selected analytical points. Emphasis is laid on in terms of briefness, lucidity, clarity and affability for users. The work, in its main articles, is oriented on satisfying the informational needs of students and applicants in their main interests. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the actual state and to improve the quality of the web presentation by providing a variety of proposals.

Evaluation of LMS Moodle's functionality for the purpose of supporting the application administrator

This bachelor thesis deals with administrator environment of the Learning Management System Moodle. The aim is to provide a basic outline of the alternatives for administrative tools supporting the learning procedure in Moodle and to create a user's guide for LMS Moodle. The characterisation focuses on the administration of users, courses, modules, appearances, security and some other basic settings. A brief survey on functioning of the system among Czech universities is also a part of this thesis. Finally I give a summary of over-all advantages and disadvantages of LMS Moodle and its suitability for business sector. The survey shows the users' level of satisfaction and their abilities in operating LMS Moodle in accordance with their user's status (administrator, teacher or student). The last chapter centres on the new Moodle for mobile technologies. The actual survey and the description of advantages and disadvantages of e-learning are attached.

Online system for creating mind maps

The bachelor thesis deals with online systems for the design and creation of conceptual maps and mind maps. Maps are a method of recording information, helping to organize this information, describe and classify. The task is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is an analysis of already available online systems for creating mind maps. Common functionality of these systems are listed in the summary table along with brief descriptions. This section also contains a selection of the most appropriate technology for system implementation. The practical part is the actual system implementation based on a theoretical analysis and process design. The final step is putting the system into operation.

Actual trends in ECM

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the actual trends in the ECM market and the impact of the continuous evolution of the IS/ICT field on the mentioned area. Throughout this thesis, the main definitions and characteristics of the ECM system components are presented, there is a brief description of the situation at today's ECM products market and then there is a characterization of this year's and futures main ECM trends. There are five trends described in this thesis: the influence of the new technologies of the second generation more social web (Web 2.0) on the products and tools that are part of the ECM systems; the effort to integrate the unstructured data of ECM systems with data from Business Intelligence (BI) systems to ensure better tools to support the strategic resolutions in the enterprise; the use of the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model as a cheaper and more accessible alternative for the distribution of ECM solutions; the growth in preference of commercial open-source ECM solutions as a competitive and financially accessible alternative; and finally, the CMIS (Content Management Interoperability Services) specification as a proposed standard, that includes a set of web services to ensure interoperability and access to content repositories independent of the used system. At the end there is a description of how each trend reflects on concrete solutions in the ECM market.

Hilti, Ltd. - Company valuation

The aim of this thesis is to determine the value of the company Hilti, Ltd. and carry out its valuation for a potential investor. The resulting's valuation is designed for the broadest investment community. The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part acquaint the reader with the basic theoretical framework for valuation and the basic concepts and it is explained to select the method of discounting free cash flow for the owners and creditors as of the methods for the valuation. The practical part is, after a brief presentation given to strategic analysis, financial analysis and the establishment of a financial plan. The financial plan was drawn up for the period 2007-2010. Essential pillar for the valuation is the determination of discount rates. That is taken in detail in the next step, and we set it using a weighted average cost of capital. The cost of equity, we have identified using the CAPM. Followed by the actual valuation and the final statement of the value of the company Hilti, Ltd.
