Diplomová práce analyzuje a vyhodnocuje ambiciózní a kontroverzní projekt volně dostupné digitální knihovny knižních publikací Google Book Search. -- První kapitola se věnuje elektronickým dokumentům, které jsou organizovány v digitálních knihovnách, institucionálních repozitářích a digitálních archivech v prostředí WWW, které jsou založeny na principu volného přístupu (Open Access, OA). Druhá a třetí kapitola se zabývá vyhledávacími službami internetu, převážně internetovým vyhledávačem Google (http://www.google.com). Zaměřuje se i na doplňkové služby nabízené společností Google. Stěžejní jsou kapitoly 4 a 5, kde je analyzován celý systém Google Book Search (http://books.google.com/). Pozornost je věnována historii systému, spolupracujícím institucím a zdrojovým projektům. Podkapitola 4.5 se zabývá vyhledáváním v systému a analýze výsledků, které systém poskytuje. 5. kapitola je zaměřena na autorskoprávní otázky, které souvisí s jedním ze zdrojových projektů systému Google Book Search. Je nastíněn pohled USA a Evropy na ochranu autorských práv a kritika projektu.

Visegrad countries within NATO

The aim of this theses was to analyze the Visegrad group's cooperation towards the membership in NATO. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part focuses on the NATO's chagnes it has been through since the end of the Cold War. Second chapter is describing the three major historical events which influenced the region of V4 countries for many decades. Third part is analazing the origin of the decision to enlarge NATO after the end of the Cold War. The fourth chapter is focusing on the security cooperation of NATO and EU and the final part's aim was to evaluate the cooperation of V4 countries on their way to NATO.

Position of the selected East African countries in the world economy and prospects of their future development

This thesis deals with the position of the selected countries of East Africa in the world economy and prospects of their future development. The first chapter provides basic information about Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda. The second chapter belongs to the most important ones and deals with the historical context. The third part adds some information about the UN approach to the events in this territory. The fourth chapter is devoted to foreign policy orientation. The next two chapters are the most significant ones: the fifth part deals with development of economy and current economic situation, the sixth part discusses foreign trade. The last chapter provides an outlook for the future of these African countries.

The Church of Our Lady in Nürnberg and her sculpture

English summary: The Church of Our Lady in Nürnberg and her sculpture The church of Our Lady in Nürnberg was founded by Charles IV (1316-1389) in 1355 when he returned from his crown-journey to Rome. So it was his first "emperor-foundation". The church was built probably between 1352 and 1361 as well as the sculptural decoration. We can follow up an extensive iconographic programme especially on the west facade which was supposedly ordained by Charles IV himself. This type of state-representation-scheme anticipate the further famous iconology of St. Vitus Cathedral. Some scientsts suppose that the author of this monument is Peter Parler, master builder of St. Vitus Cathedral because of high parlerian character of the architecture and sculptures and by virtue of the chronology (Peter Parler came to Prague in 1356). However we can't agree this hypothesis, because the style reasons are too general for this proposition, they don't smite a personal style of Peter Parler. For all that we regard the best pieces of the sculpture group on the west front of the church as individual manifestation of early Parlerian style. We can see the nearest affinity in the prophets at south-chorus portal in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Nürnberg - Parler - Charles IV. - gothic sculpture - gothic architecture

Publishing of Belles-lettres in the Last Ten Years at the Czech Market

The Bachelor thesis deals with the fiction book market in the Czech Republic and its changes during the years 2001-2010. The first chapter defines the terminology linked with belles-lettres including its types and genres. The second chapter focuses on the Czech book market, its past and present, and deals with the different publishers, book distributors, sellers and marginally the libraries, too. The next point is readership in the country and its support. The third chapter concerns a statistical evaluation of Czech books and fiction. The final chapter shows a summary of fiction publishing by means of sales charts and comparison with other book popularity surveys. The situation of the Czech book market with belles-lettres is summarized in the conclusion.

Cultural educational activities in libraries of Pilsener region

Bakalářská práce podává přehled o pořádání kulturně vzdělávacích aktivit v knihovnách Plzeňského kraje. Úvodní část je věnována definování klíčových pojmů. Zaměřuje se na systém knihoven ČR, jejich aktivity, komunitní roli a Plzeňský kraj. Druhá kapitola se zaobírá Studijní a vědeckou knihovnou v Plzni, její historií a funkcemi. Dvě služby jsou rozebrány podrobněji, vzdělávání pro knihovníky a výkon regionálních funkcí. Ve třetí části je vybráno deset knihoven Plzeňského kraje, u kterých je sledována jejich kulturně vzdělávací činnost. Následuje shrnutí vycházející ze statistik a informací poskytnutých samotnými knihovnami. V závěru jsou zmíněny výhody a nevýhody programů pro čtenáře a doporučení pro knihovny, jak se mohou vypořádat s ubývajícím zájmem, konkurenty a přizpůsobit se době.

The topic of this Bachelor thesis is the afterlife of Saint Adalbert and his influence on the formation of the early medieval Polish state. The objective of the thesis is to determine the role of Adalbert in the early medieval period in Poland. The first chapter focuses on the life of Saint Adalbert. The main emphasis is placed on events that are essential for the following parts of the Bachelor thesis. The second chapter deals with the cult of Saint Adalbert in Poland and the remaining parts of the Europe that the cult spread into. The third part comprises events relevant to the origin of the archiepiscopate in Gniezno.

Feedback Analysis in Didactic Interaction of Top Basketball Teams

Title: Feedback Analysis in Didactic Interaction of Top Basketball Teams Goals of the thesis: Find out the tendency in providing of feedback in practise of top basketball teams. Method: The research is provided by direct unparticipation observation. Testing procedure is proceeded by using categorial system in practises. Measured exemplar are six practises of random selected teams in men's first division in year 2009/10. Results: The results shows which kinds of feedback and social interactional forms are used in practise the most frequent and if the qualities of the feedback are correct with regard to theories of different authors. Význam národní gastronomie v cestovním ruchu České republiky

Bakalářská práce se zabývá českou gastronomií jako celku, její historií a současnými i budoucími trendy moderní české kuchyně. Kromě toho je zde i kapitola uvádějící ekonomické charakteristiky stravovacích a ubytovacích služeb. Součástí je i rozhovor s Jiřím Králem, šéfkuchařem Francouzské a Plzeňské restaurace Obecního domu v Praze a kapitánem českého reprezentačního týmu kuchařů a cukrářů. Cílem práce bylo analyzovat, jaký význam má pro český příjezdový cestovní ruch úroveň poskytovaných gastronomických služeb. Analýza byla provedena na základě přímého a nepřímého dotazníkového šetření.

A child and the world of fairy tales

Práce se zabývá historií a vývojem pohádky a čtenářskými zájmy dětí předškolního a mladšího školního věku. Součástí je také kapitola zabývající se úrovní vydávání pohádek v našich nakladatelstvích. Práce se dále věnuje srovnání úrovně četby pohádek v současnosti s dobou před 60 - 70. lety. V rámci Klubu dětských knihoven jsou popsány jednotlivé celostátní akce, které jsou organizovány na podporu čtenářství. Kromě nich jsou vybrány a zmíněny zajímavé regionální akce, které knihovny organizují pro své čtenáře. Práce také obsahuje anketu, která zjišťuje čtenářské zájmy dětí mladšího školního věku.
