But most of them found out that SOA did not bring them expected results. The thesis deals with the methodology of building information systems and information and communication technology (IS/ICT) in SOA environment. It is a part of the research plan of the Department of Information Technologies of University of Economics in Prague. The main objective of the thesis is to extend the methodological framework MeFIS2 to add methodical pattern "Building IS in service-oriented architecture environment". In the analytical part of the thesis are presented and analyzed selected methodologies and standards focused on service orientation with aim to assist in the implementation of SOA into companies. A large amount of such methodologies and standards have been unveiled what leaded to a confusing information labyrinth. It's one of the reasons why standardization organizations gradually began to issue additional standards and methodologies to assist in the proper implementation of SOA into companies. The main part of work is to extend methodological framework MeFIS, so that it can be used to create a methodological pattern for building IS/ICT in SOA environment. The result of this section is to achieve the main goal to create a methodological pattern "Building IS in service-oriented architecture environment". In the practical part is the proposed methodological pattern applied in the real case study in the environment of telecommunication operator.

Analysis of economic and environmental effects of detergents' compactation
Gregorová, Martina ; Vojáček, Ondřej (advisor) ; Slavíková, Lenka (referee)
This master thesis studies environmental effects of a detergents' compactation project. The theoretical part describes negative environmental effects of detergents' use and foreign initiatives having successfully led to decrease of these effects. The analytical part evaluates the information campaign focused on customer behavior and detergent dosage through a market survey. Lower detergent consumption is a prerequisite of a decreased negative environmental impact. Market data showing real detergent consumption are compared to expected development. Results of the market survey and the market data analysis show that a change in consumer behavior was not sufficient; and therefore, the compactation project was not successful.

Švancara, Miroslav ; Šlechtová, Jitka (advisor) ; Bečvář, Martin (referee)
In the theoretical part, small and medium sized companies are described. In the analytical part, K+B Expert company was introduced by the author, as well as its competition. K+B Expert focuses on consumer electronics. It has 19 stores in the Czech republic -- it was a decision based on the strategic plan to expand its activities in the consumer electronics market in the horizontal network. The author chose Carlsbad region according to the situational analysis. A brand new store was to be created there, so all investment steps needed to be taken to set up a plain store, that needed to be supplied with all the necessary stock into the prepared racks and shelves. A marketing campaign followed together with the opening of the new store. K+B Expert used the marketing concept of its mother company network -- Expert CR. The marketing experts analyzed the effectiveness of several marketing tools. Leaflet was chosen as the most effective, since 55% of the survey respondents stated leaflet was the most effective in discovering that a new electronics store is to be opened. There were also advertisements on radio, on billboards and in newspapers. The cost of this marketing campaign exceeded the plan (the real cost was 836,500 CZK), it attracted more visitors than expected (a total of 8.560 visitors were attracted by the campaign). This has also impacted the sales, as the revenues were 9% higher than expected (totaled 4.36M CZK). Overall, the opening of the new store was a success and K+B Expert, s.r.o. can now look for a new region to expand with their activities.

Development of HPLC method for assesment of stability of amorphous compounds
Číhalová, Daniela ; Solich, Petr (advisor) ; Sklenářová, Hana (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Daniela Číhalová Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Petr Solich, CSc., Prof. Seppo Auriola, MSc. Marko Lehtonen Title of diploma thesis: Development of HPLC method for assessment of stability of amorphous compounds Solid materials can be found in many diverse forms which are distinguishable by different properties. In my thesis, I focus on amorphous solids, their properties, significance, occurrence and, most of all, characterization. The most widely used methods are introduced and described, focusing on their practical use in characterizing polymorphic and amorphous compounds. During the preparation of an amorphous solid, rapid heating and cooling down occurs and therefore degradation can be expected. To prove thermal stability, an HPLC method has been developed and validated for the determination of concentration decrease of an active pharmaceutical ingredient in amorphous state of 8 compounds. The compounds (benzocaine, chlorpropamide, clotrimazole, furosemide, piroxicam, salicylic acid, thiosalicylic acid, and tolbutamide) were determined separately. The method was carried out on a reversed-phase column (1.8µm, 50 × 4.6 mm) maintained at 40řC. The mobile phase was acetonitrile-water containing...

Practical Use of Data Mining Technologies
Uhlíř, Radek ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Zajíc, Ján (referee)
This bachelor's thesis maps available technologies of extracting knowledge from the raw data. These methods are globally known as Data Mining. Some of these methods are implemented in the second part - proof of concept of Data mining support in sales department. The aim of this work is to identify and implement suitable technologies for answering analytical questions and getting knowledge from data owned by business companies. It should help to improve and optimize business processes and resource utilization. Customer segmentation support and association rules identification are also expected. In the second part are identified possible weaknesses and problems during the process of implementation and deployment of these systems. The work should propose optimal methods of solving these problems or at least modifications in process of implementation to eliminate some vulnerability. The work is divided into two parts -- first is theoretical and maps available methods and second part is about implementation of project in pharmaceutical company. This solution was built using Microsoft SQL Server platform.
