Socio-ecological and psychological impacts of the Nuclear power plant Temelín on local population

The nuclear power plant of Temelín can be seen as an unusual landscape feature in rural landscape of South Bohemia influencing quality of life of local population. The project trees to reveal a process of adaptation of local community to the nuclear power plant. Based on data gained within sociological survey, local community seems to manifest some degree of adaptation to the given situation. In the context of landscape ecology, “visual aggressiveness” of plant’s cooling towers evokes the feeling of subconscious disquiet and is perceived as main change of south-bohemian landscape character.

Fire prevention for children in primary schools

Diploma thesis summarizes measures of fire prevention in schools and states obligations of schools concerning fire protection and presents insight into the real situation of these obligations in the Central Bohemia and the schools in Kladno. The second part focuses on the introduction and didactic analysis of educational programmes in fire protection, especially Hasík program. The last part of this thesis is a presentation of survey results concerning knowledge of school children, where they aren't engaged in fire prevention, then at schools, where there is a school fire prevention programme and at a school, which is incorporated in the program called Hasík.

The land commission of administration for the kingdom of Bohemia in the years of 1913 and 1914

Zřízení Zemské správní komise pro Království české v roce 1913 znamenalo důležitý milník ve vývoji monarchie, který byl v první řadě charakteristický odstraněním zemských ústavních orgánů státními a jejich nahrazení svérázným orgánem, jehož ustavení bylo možné obhajovat třeba tím, že odstraňované ústavní instituce neplnily své ústavní funkce. Tematiku převratných událostí v Českém království v letech 1913/1914 jsem se rozhodl nastínit z několika úhlů pohledu. K nim patří především vztah zavedení komise a reakce veřejnosti a potom dva důležité momenty činnosti zemské správní komise, což je sanace zemských financí a problematika učitelských platů. Důležitá je rovněž problematika dalších mimořádných opatření státu z počátku července 1914. Z důvodu zasazení celé situace do kontextu je třeba zmínit i hlavní zásady politického systému monarchie a politickohospodářský vývoj v Čechách, který předcházel zavedení komise. Tomuto vyhranění jsou poplatné i jednotlivé části práce, které se zabývají následujícími předměty: politickým systémem mocnářství, vývojem v Českém království v letech 1908-1913, dvěma pokusy o zavedení zemské správní komise, reakcí veřejnosti, snahou zemské správní komise a sanací zemských financí na podzim 1913, jednáním říšské rady v příslušném období, problematikou mimořádných přídavků pro...

THE FLIGHT FROM NAZISM. THE EXILE ART SCENE IN BOHEMIA 1933-1939. The development of political situation in Germany during the thirties, when the Nazi Party radicalized and Adolph Hitler's power gradually became unlimited, meant not only a danger for the political opponents of fascism. The new state self-presentation as a successor to the Rome Empire of German nation is reflected even in reference to classicism in art creation. Artists, who did not meet the criteria of the Nazi regime or even commit to its disadvantage, had to choose asylum in countries where they could not only continue in free expression, but also where their lives had not been confronted with threats or danger. In addition to Great Britain, France and Netherlands, Czechoslovak 1st Republic became a haven for refugees from Nazism. This work is focused on the Czech environment, and especially artists, with whom the former foreign literature is dealing rather marginally, in the context of other artistic disciplines and countries providing asylum to emigrants. Not only politically or racially persecuted artists are investigated in this work, but also remigration itself - Czech Germans, who for similar reasons returned to their birthplaces. Foundations of Marie Margaret Countess of Waldstein

RESUMÉ MARIE MARKETA OF WALDSTEIN'S FOUNDATIONS This bachelor's work represents Marie Marketa, Countess of Waldstein, as the founder of sacral objects in her estates, and presents an overview of buildings with an explanation of their origin in the given locality. Bachelor's thesis is part of research on Waldstejn's patronage in northern Bohemia prepared for the exhibition of this important aristocratic family in the Museum of the Bohemian Paradise in Turnov. During my research, I did mapping of individual sites and I described them. From my point of view the work in the field was important, this means acquisition of photographs of individual churches and gathering additional information on the creation of buildings. Most reference period was the years 1724-1729, when the Countess of Waldstein was truly generous in promoting the arts, when the favorable financial situation help her. Thanks to this situation newly built or restored religious buildings on Waldstein's estates were built. Such as decanal church of St. James in Mnichovo Hradiště, St. Nicholas in Turnov, and St. Vojtěch in Kruh near Doksy, St. Wenceslas in Boseň and the chapel of St. John of Nepomuk at Waldstein, St. Stapin in Klokočka. The income situation of selected municipality in less favourable conditions

The thesis is focused on analysis of income situation of municipality in less favourable conditions. Municipality with smaller number of inhabitants are always dependent on tax revenue, which however are not sufficient for refundment of necessary expenditure. Then therefore to didn't have to happen to abridgement expenditure areas conversely could be assure development, must municipality search other ways and means of income in his budget. Requisite development conditions of municipality so will prevent departure young people to town conversely attract inhabitants to country. Mostly exploited possibility by all the municipality is increment of income by the help of subsidies or grants. This possibility is supported by the state, which offers by means of individual ministry different grant programs. Important providers became individual regions. The South Bohemia region offers to all his municipality possibility derive from different subsidy and grant programme.

History, present and future of a chateau Chotýšany

This bachelor's thesis looks at real-estate monuments in danger in the Czech republic, especially in the Central Bohemia Region. The practical part focuses on the particular situation on the historical developement of a chateau, situated in Podblanicko, a tourist region. The chateau is listed among the most threatened real-estate monuments. At the moment it is not being used and due to the lack of interest of the owner its condition is still getting worse. The thesis briefly discusses its history, its connection to the local culture, the impact of the surroundings and provides an analysis of the current condition and suggests a solution.

The theoretical part contains methods and techniques of financial analysis. The second part is introducing the aplication of the theoretical background on a particular example of a company Domita, which is the maker of baking product in South Bohemia.

Statistical analysis of drug addiction in the South Bohemia Region

The aim of this thesis is the statistical analysis of drug users of drugs other than alcohol in the south bohemian region for the period 2005-2014. Drug addiction is analyzed according to the number of drug users and their average age and by individual drugs used. Another part of the thesis is the analysis of drug-related crime, which is estimated according to the number of drug offenders, according to their sex, age and nationality. Another indicator of statistical analysis are preventive programs operating in the South Region. With the help of elemental characteristics of time lines and trend functions is calculated estimated future development of these indicators for 2015 - 2017. Part of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the situation of drug addiction in the South Region, with suggestions for solving this problem.
