Scheme " Heath city"
Valčíková, Šárka ; Wsól, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kvasničková, Eva (referee)
1028 inhabitants of the town Kroměříž were investigated in the project "Healthy Town" in the years 2005, 2006 and 2007. Using acquired data, some epidemiological characteristics of region's inhabitants were evaluated and important experiences were put into preventive clinical practice. The experiences are following: 1. The project "Healthy Town" is not a pilot study. Contact centers are attended by citizens who pay attention to active interest of their health. In this population women and senior citizens dominate, many of them have health problems and the incidence of cardiovascular factors considerably exceeds "the average population". The study has shown that 37% of them are overweight and 13% are obese. 16% of inhabitants have hypertension of over 140/90 mm Hg. 57% suffer from lipid metabolism failure and 14% suffer from hyperglycemia. 2. Then we observed a relationship between BMI index and investigated high risk markers (systolic and diastolic pressure, serum concentration of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose). We have proved a significant relation between the degree of overweight and values of blood pressure and concentration of triglycerides, and on the other hand we have discovered a statistically insignificant relation between total cholesterol...

Common regional operational program of the EU
Šindlerová, Zuzana ; Urbánek, Václav (advisor) ; Urbánek, Václav (referee)
The impact evaluation of European regional policy's existence and performing has been often discussed but still unsolved task. The budget of European Union provides member countries with financial support to their projects which have sometimes very doubtful effect. This paper concerns about the system of grants drawing from the European structural funds within the frame of Common regional operational program. This program along with the other ones contributed to fulfillment of the regional policy's aims in the period 2004 -- 2006. The project that has been carried out within the Common regional operational program in Šternberk is analyzed on the background of development and characteristic of EU's regional (structural) policy. This analysis is focused on the criteria which are taken into account when the town applies for the grant and also on the indicators needed for an ex-post control. Finally the paper brings to light some impacts of the realized project on the life in the town and also proposes the indicators that should be followed up from now on to generate an exhaustive evaluation.

Nonlinear modelling of meteorological data
Pop, Lukáš ; Raidl, Aleš (advisor) ; Mikšovský, Jiří (referee)
Thesis deals with possibilities of application of nonlinear methods based on the theory of dynamical systems, for meteorological problems. In the first part there is explored description of the dynamical systems, namely deterministic chaotic systems, for them this methods were introduced. There is described the concept of attractor and its typical invariants. In the next part there are summarized different ways of reconstruction of phase space of system by means of time series produced by it. A modification of Cao's method is proposed here. Possibilities of prediction of meteorological quantities are proposed here. In the next part there is described influence of different sorts of signal noise and inaccuracies of measuring to the dynamical system that is described by logistic equation. That is a simple example of deterministic chaotic system. In the last part there are analysed single types of errors, of them nonlinear methods of prediction are encumbered. There are described typical properties and specialities of meteorological data. There are tried modifications of local linear models also, what is applied to data of NCEP/NCAR reanalysis.

Project SEPA and its aplication
Mach, Jonáš ; Schlossberger, Otakar (advisor)
This thesis studies the process of cross-border payments integration with a focus on the SEPA project. Besides the characteristics of the project itself, it contains a description of the development and the current form of the European legal basis for payment services, the functioning principles of the European payments council and an analysis of SEPA payment instruments. A very important role in the SEPA initiative has been played by the banks themselves, for they embraced a common approach towards the subject. The New legal framework should become effective by 1st November 2009 through national adoption. SEPA has so far brought a new credit transfer scheme and partial changes in the cards framework within Europe.

Stakeholder Analysis in Project IS/ICT
Májský, Tomáš ; Chocholatý, Drahomír (advisor) ; Chlapek, Dušan (referee)
The work is concerned with stakeholder analysis in information system project. This theme is a part of project management. The main goal is to describe process of stakeholder analysis, which is solved very poorly in technical literature. Other goals are: describe the influence on the project and possibility of prevention and solution of the most common stakeholders in detail, and briefly search the level of solution of this issue in technical literature. The work mainly draw from personal ideas, party from experiences contained in mentioned literature. The process of analysis, which is the main theme of this work, is processed almost completely on basis of personal creative activity. The document is divided into six chapters. The first one is introducing the theme, second chapter deals with basic terms, third chapter describes the stakeholder analysis, fourth chapter presents the influence of most common stakeholders and fifth chapter mentions the level of solution in source literature. The last chapter summarize all gained knowledge.

Managing of geographically dispersed teams
Kašpar, Jakub ; Chocholatý, Drahomír (advisor) ; Chlapek, Dušan (referee)
This work is focused on the comparison of cooperation in local and geographically dispersed teams(GDT). In the first part there are defined terms: team, process and project. The first point of analysis is identification of characteristics, which are essential for functioning of team from organizational view. On these characteristics are shown differences between local teams and GDT. Second point is description of requirements for each of activity categories and marking them according to their importance. Third part is focused on evaluation which activity category best fits to kind of team. Next chapter is focused in problems with culture and social difference. This part provides advices, how to create and manage team in order to minimize cultural and social problems. By using the Geert Hofstedehs indexes are shown differences between several cultures. Last part is focused on person of team manager. There are shown requirements for characteristics and personality of local and GDT team manager. Differences are applied on questions of: determining the roles of individual team member, the correct motivation, and solving problems in the team.

Integration of clonal plants in heterogeneous environment
Vinšová, Jana ; Weiser, Martin (advisor) ; Macek, Petr (referee)
Clonal plants may be able to cope with spatial and temporal heterogeneity due to the physiological integration of ramets. To begin with, I discuss basic characteristics of clonal plants and then I provide a review of theoretical and empirical work dealing with the advantages and disadvantages of clonal growth in heterogenous conditions. Three main traits - translocation of resources, division of labour and foraging - are examined in terms of their contribution to the success of clonal plants. Despite a large amount of attention which this topic has received in the past few decades, a number of issues still remain unclear.
